just saw that we co-started so I'll copy and paste here:

    Good morning friends
how we all this fine morning? shocked to not find a brew waiting for me, Mick, so here's a cup for all to come. Have an early thingy to do at the Soils & Water, so off to it very soon. PQ, I feel the same way sometimes that I don't have much to contribute, yet the contribution for me is really about checking in and knowing we're sober, so I am always glad to see any and all here, and dern fortunate to be. (I feel a Shakespearean moment coming).

Mick, I didn't think there'd a be detector for the rocks, but if there was, I wanted to know about it. I use a ferrous type finder for locating metal property corners, river rock has a LOT of ferrous in it. Pain in the butt finding stuff in area such as the mill site I was at the other day.

Lav, no baby chicks yet, not sure I think it is 3 weeks to hatch? Probably end up with lots of rotten eggs!

Pi, how goes the renovation? sounded as if you've found the person you were looking for to get it done.

Pauly, how's you be? getting warm your way? Warm enough to ride the bike yesterday.

NS, next batch of kombucha I make, I going to use some lemons.

Det, how's it going in the wild wild west?

    Kuya, you doing ok???

out the door, have a good one folks

We're supposed to be here for support, not just talk about the weather and write about only the happy times, anyways, much love to all, hope we all have a terrific Thursday
I have too much shit to do today and tomorrow to drink:sohappy:

I'm taking care of the "tomorrow me"

        Good Thursday morning Abbers

Sunny & warming up nicely, yay!
Of course the tree pollens are very high, sniffle, sniffle.

        Thanks for the startup Mick!
Got to my granddaughter's this morning & she was still asleep, unusual but nice to have a few quiet moments. I wish I could talk YB into powerwashing everything - house, garage, deck, etc. we have two power washers, just so many excuses, ha ha!

Sam, I've never tried to hatch eggs but three weeks sounds aboit right. I imagine you have to provide feed & water to the broody hen so she doesn't starve? Good luck!

Hey there Pauly, hope you are having a good day!

PQ, so sorry you had a bad day yesterday. Please feel free to dump your troubles here. We do try to listen with love & understanding

Hello to everyone else stopping by today.
Woshing a wonderful AF day for all.

Morning All, Thanks for the startups, Mick and Sam.

PQ, I agree with the rest, feel free to dump your troubles right here. I find it very helpful to see others dealing with the crap that comes along, without drinking to escape.

Nice gravy boat, Mick! Also appreciate the warming cable link. Interesting stuff.

Contractor is lined up to start here in about 10 days. While they work, I'll be spending time out at Dad's, prepping for the big move. Thanks for being here, gang! If I were to not stay sober through all of this, no doubt a dreadful fiasco would ensue. :egad:

            greetings and salutations ABeroooos!

Mick, some forced down time sounds like just the ticket for you mate

Pauly, no kidding about the wind! pretty much took care of me wanting to be in the pool but we had a loverly time relaxing and eating too much all the same.

Sam, good Shakespearean words. Likewise most grateful for my sober state, especially after a visit to Vegas
and viewing all the debauchery there again. Hardest part was the stench of booze everywhere at any given time of day.

got in late last night after delayed flight and woke up with terrible back ache... owie! really must get a new
bed soon as we can afford it.

well, off to make another brew and then laundry

            be well everyone!

Saw this in a Soberistas email today, and I agree because it takes so many right choices on a consistent basis to stay AF, that good things result. What do you guys think?

“The thing is, happiness can come from living AF. Not because "not drinking = happiness" but because the work we put into getting and staying sober is conducive to happiness.”

Yep - that's a good one Pie. Hard to argue with a statement like that
Glad you have solid plans for the bathroom redo. Good luck getting Dad ready too!

Glad you enjoyed your trip to Vegas in a healthy way Det. Hope your back feels better soon!

I had a busy day watching a busy little girl, I shall sleep well tonight.
                Wishing everyone a peaceful night!

MAE ALL...Thanks for all the positive responses about posting my sh*t, you're right....this is the place to do it. First plan to increase my line of credit was denied so back to the drawing board.

Mick....the truth comes out...boys and their toys. LOL Did the forced rest materialize or did you find something else to do?

Sam...hope the thingy at the soils & water was productive. Finding the metal property corners at the mill site is going to be a challenge. Finding them on the bald ass prairie wasn't a piece of cake either.

Pauly...thanks, you definitely have a point there. I'm glad Sam copied over to this thread too, don't need to make any more decisions in my life right now.

Lav...quiet moments sound like heaven right now. Thanks for your support. Day started sunny and warm now we've just had rain, hail and currently it's snowing. Springtime in Alberta...got a love it.

Pi...glad the decisions been made and you sound so positive about it. Good luck with getting your Dad organized, been there done that. Love the soberistas post, so true. During my struggles I would always say to myself, just do the right thing.

Det...another positive post...so good to see. Glad you enjoyed Vegas and sorry about your back. Once it's better I know where there's more laundry needing to be dealt with.

Just finished a good nutritious supper and looking forward to book and bed. I concur with Lav...have a peaceful evening.....:smile:PPQP
