Morning friends,my coworker and I are both Indian,I'm Shoshone she's Cree we do this but just call it "saging" haha had to do it at work a couple of tines cuz there was some bad energy there, magazines flying off the shelf,a glass flew off a girls station and broke,we saw a flash of light and I felt the gust off of it,just weird things, did the sage and its been better stinky stuff though while burning, yuck! Cyn,your walk sounds beautiful, I love seeing a scene that I want to remember forever, one of my faves is Pacific coast highway and there's a crest right before Laguna beach where you look over and the beach is perfect, the shoreline, waves, sky, everything, I love that pic in my head day off and I'm a little anxious about our tax situation, hubs is being an ass,but we'll figure it out, hope we all have a lovely Friday, maybe I'll smudge my whole house and get some positive energy going
I have too much shit to do today and tomorrow to drink:sohappy:

I'm taking care of the "tomorrow me"
Drinkin won't help a damn thing! Will only make me sick for DAYS and that ugly, spacey dumb feeling-no thanks!

I was up and out early today for the volunteer job so technically Lav, no you weren't the first one up! LOL! I was out of the house by 5:00 am! Thanks for the link to the smudging. I can't say as there is much negative energy around here that needs to be smudged out, or saged out as the case may be!

Cyn, the field of little blue flowers sounds very uplifting. It reminded me of a similar image I feasted my eyes on a couple of weeks ago while out on a walk. There was a valley absolutely carpeted with bright yellow flowers. I wish I knew what they were. I went to take a closer look and the blossom was a lot like a buttercup but slightly larger. I can still see it in my mind's eye. Take it easy on the bush whacking. Don't over do!

Pauly, So you are not so dumb after all! I told you so! You knew what smudging was probably before any of us did! LOL

Hello Star. I hope you are enjoying this lovely weather with a walk at your lunch hour.

Let's all have a peaceful AF Friday!

Am I the first one up?! LOL!

I am going to assume everyone is busy in their worlds and are doing well. Altho I must admit a 2 day absence of Star does cause me a bit of concern.

Beautiful Saturday here. We will likely have some fun outdoors today. Maybe digging around in the garden, maybe a walk in the woods and a mushroom hunt.

Lav, Pauly, Cyn, Star and readers, have a great af Saturday!

          Good morning friends, happy Saturday!

I have been up for a while Dill - just feeling lazy
We have been promised decent outdoor gardening type weather this weekend so that's what I am going to do. I think I will take a ride to my favorite plant farm to get a few things.

Enjoy your outside time today Dill.
Cyn, I imagine you will be having the same weather so enjoy!

          Star, hope you are OK!

Pauly, what's on your plan today?

Make it a good AF day everyone!

Morning friends,Lav,working then we'll have Louie til 8 pm Kell called on a salon yesterday, its privately owned and is more of a spa like setting, I told her go check it out but she's worried cuz its commission only,at the place she works at now its hourly so she's getting paid regardless however with her disc problem she's really starting to feel the long hours, she asked her manager to give her fewer hours but no go,also in May she's having a surgery to cauterize the nerves around her spine, she's kinda nervous about it, says she's googled people who have had the procedure and it made the pain worse! Yikes, hello Dill,Cyn,Star, gotta get ready, hope we all have a safe, sober Saturday

              Good morning...

I am fine, I thought I had posted yesterday, but I guess I didn't. I did read though, so I don't know what is up.

Today, I was waiting for a person to come to give us an estimate on getting our back patio/yard redesigned, it looks horrible, but we bought the house in the winter, and thought it looked OK, then. Also, planned a vacation this July, close to home, so I have been very busy.

I plan to clean, then want to spend time outside, it is sunny and will be in the 70s, finally. Maybe ride my bike!!!!

Pauly, that is interesting about the smudging. I agree that it smells strong, but since it works, go for it.

Lav, have fun buying plants and playing in the dirt.

Dill, hope your volunteer time was rewarding.

Off to clean some more, then find something fun to do. Have a great AF Saturday.

What a beautiful day yesterday. Took a long walk, enjoyed being outside. More of the same today. Except today a little yard work will be started, but I don't mind this yard is so small.

                Have a great AF Sunday.

                    Morning all!

Missed yesterday, as it turned out to be a flat-out... Dog to vet by 8:20 (6 month blood test, a must-do for his meds), errands, hit an estate sale and bought 2 little tables - one $20, the other $35, perfect for what I needed. Then drive 2 hours to get Mr T (sick with a cold) who missed his train, poor guy. Then nurse and cook for the rest of the day! It was SO gorgeous out, and I couldn't get out there and do anything!

So today, I'm going out and staying as long as I want!!! Not just bush-whacking, but moving plants and replanting... must get some pansies and herbs potted as well. To the light!

Pauly you are Shoshone?! What a proud and rich heritage you have. Of course you know about saging. I have a long story to tell you at some point about a Healer and my mother, when we were dispersing her things and she was selling her house. It was a great experience. PS - Maybe you should sage Kell's pain? Good luck to her in her job search....

Wishing all a wonderful AF Sunday, with a 16 second memory in there somewhere!

Cyn,Kell went on an interview last night at an upscale salon/spa,they said she could feel it out on Tuesday cuz they got along so well,of course she's worried about it being commission only, plus high end people but I told her that maybe its a better opportunity for her not to get caught in a "chop shop" mentality like I am and think of this as more of a career, fingers crossed

                        Greetings friends,

I had to get my grandson returned home in time for Sunday school this morning so I lost track of time.
It is absolutely beautiful out if you don't mind a few allergy symptoms, ha ha!

Everyone sounds good & busy. That's the way I like things

                        Is a yone taking a B 12 supplement?
I started one three days ago & I swear I feel better already. Definitely less brain fog, more energy & better sleep the past two nights!!!!!
Recent studies have shown most people > 60 are deficient regardless of your diet.
If anyone is interested look at Stop Aging Now - Premium Natural Health Products
I opted for the 5000 iu once daily SL dosing

Hello to Star, Dill, Cyn & Pauly.
I hope everyone is enjoying a lovely AF day.

                          Good morning...

Cyn, what a day for you. Sometimes you just have to be the caretaker! I have been there too. I was able to be outside, did a little yard work, took a walk and just enjoyed the day. Today is supposed to be the same, so take some time if you can and be outside. Do you like having a big yard? Our big decision is to either fix up our small back yard at great cost (we need trees removed, new patio, etc.) or I hate to say this, move again. I kind of like having a small yard, but would like to be able to plant a little bit. We'll see.

Lav, I know you like your property, and with a retirement in your future, it will give someone lots to do. Do you ever think of having a small yard? I am interested in the B12 article and will let you know. Thanks again for your wisdom.

Pauly, I think your daughter should go for it, if it doesn't work out she can always go back, but how often does she get an opportunity for a more upscale salon? I am afraid if she doesn't try, she will regret it. There are always jobs, finding the right one is a real blessing.

Dill, hope you are doing well.

                          Have a great Monday, AF.

Hello Friends, gorgeous day yesterday. We were busy sun up to nearly sundown. The grandkids were both here all day and we were busy outside again. I was moving plants with gdaughter's help and Mr. D was busy power washing things with gson's help. I love this glorious weather! I just wish my back was stronger. I have to take it in short spurts due to the degenerative spine.

Pauly, I think you have given Kell excellent advice. I hope it works out well for her. Trying new things is always anxiety producing and it helps when someone gives good advice and support. I know that sometimes just having someone believing in you and saying you can do it makes all the difference!

Star, well, I know you aren't serious about moving again! You love everything about your new house except for the yard so I suggest you develop a 3-5 year plan of changes for the yard. Don't feel you have to do it all at once or pay for it all at once. What does Mr. Star think? I was out in my flower beds over the weekend and saw my Stargazer Lilies coming up! So exciting!

Lav, I took B complex vitamins for a long time when I first joined MWO. I recall my doctor nodding her head in approval on that one and she is not big on vitamin supplements for generally healthy adults. But she was involved in my quit and had prescribed campral. I think she knew that al abuse had caused deficiencies in the B vits. I am going to read your link and will strongly consider starting up again with the B complex. Especially if it improves memory, focus and energy. I have had problems lately with memory and focus. Thanks for the link!

Cyn, wow you had a day! I hope that Mr. Tree is feeling better. I thought of you the other night while watching the news. There was a news story about a service man who came to a family's home to do AC service. He was afraid of dogs apparently (or just didn't like them) and he attacked the family's 2 weimeriemers 9sp?) with his tools. It was awful to watch! He felt they were attacking him, but that made no sense bc the homeowners were actually home and could easily have come to get the dogs. But he chose to strike them first. At least that's how I saw it. Really a nightmare and all caught on security video!

Let's all have a good af Monday, take care of ourselves, don't over do physically, don't get ahead of ourselves with worry, ......breathe!

                              Morning all -

Star - I put in a long day on our 'land' yesterday - I can finally see some real improvements, and I am very proud. It will take constant vigilance to keep it up, but I now have a glimpse of our wonderful rocks and the hope of a pretty woodland. I think Dill gave you excellent advice: make a 3 -5 year plan, and customize your yard for yourself. You can do so much in small spaces - go for it! I completely understand the $$$ about the trees - it's shocking, but you just plan for it, and schedule it. This property has really taught me patience! Good luck. How is your son's job search going?

Dill - wow, that sounds like quite the day! My yoga work is really helping my spine and back issues; I would never have been able to keep up with the work I'm doing in the land if not for that practice. Good luck to you; I hope you aren't suffering today!

Lav - my naturopath put me on B12 right away. I swear that those of us who have had the battle with AL started out with problems de-toxifying. B12 is one of the crucial parts of keeping the methylation cycle working properly. I'm so glad that you have found something that makes you feel better!

Pauly - I'm so excited by the news about your daughter. I hope that she goes for it! New things are always a little hard to step into, but it's like a new pair of shoes -- not super comfy at first, but you know that you like them!

HB is feeling better and will go back to the city tomorrow. I've got to get back to boosting my business today. It will be a busy, great day for us all: AF!

                                Good Monday morning friends!

Sunny today & heading up to 80 degrees, what??
You just couldn't ask for better gardening conditions

Star & Dill - the B vitamins are important for a variety of reasons & especially for women under stress, on hormones & more. I have taken a women's formula multivit for as long as I can remember. The recent news, specifically on B 12 deficiencies (especially in people > 60) really got my attention! I must have been deficient because I am definitely feeling more focused after just a few days on the supplement!! That's big!!

Star, we've had smaller yards but they were always big enough for flower & veggie gardens. Having 2 1/2 acres now is a bit much but I also like that the neighbors aren't sitting right on top of us, ha ha! Good luck with your yard plan. You really don't have to do it all at once.

Dill, it's nice when the grandkids want to get involved with projects & 'help'
Speaking of power washing - absolutely everything around here needs to be done & I am going to make sure YB gets it done this summer. I am tired of being put off, LOL

Cyn, you would think taking care of a spouse & a couple of dogs would be relatively simple but nooooo. Sometimes I feel just as busy as I was 30 years ago raising two kids, working, caring for aging parents & pets. Geez, some things never change. With all this going on we really need to just take the time to care for ourselves.

Pauly, I hope your daughter gives that job offer a chance. It could be the beginning of something very good for her. Sometimes we just have to take the plunge.

                                Have a great day everyone!
I'm heading to Curves first, then back for some work then out for some gardening time, yay!
