A lazy morning sounds nice Cyn question: is it ok to take a one a day multi at breakfast and then take a time released b-complex at lunch? I've done it for the past three days and had more energy but of course that can quickly start feeling like anxiety, it hasn't but I'm worried about toxicity, anyone?
I have too much shit to do today and tomorrow to drink:sohappy:

I'm taking care of the "tomorrow me"
Drinkin won't help a damn thing! Will only make me sick for DAYS and that ugly, spacey dumb feeling-no thanks!

Pauly, you are not likely to OD on B vitamins. Your body simply throws off the excess (bright yellow pee).
I wouldn't take that time released B - complex any later than noon or it could possibly keep you awake at night.

Cyn, my poison ivy always blisters & itches like mad. You may want to hunt down a tube of Cortisone somewhere, just in case.

I went to Curves tonight for Bunco. They do this yearly to raise finds for the ACS. It was fun but I was a bit shocked at the number of old ladies swigging down the wine, geez. I took my organic, natural ginger ale with me & was glad I did

Good morning all, Sorry for my absence yesterday. The day just got away from me.

Cyn, it sounds like poison ivy to me. I have noticed in the past that the PI doesn't manifest symptoms immediately. You could have gotten into it well before the rash started.

Lav, lots of bunnies here, too! Is bunco a card game? Were the ladies drinking a lot or moderately?

Star, that's great about the landscaping! Sorry it won't get done immediately. I know your anxious to have it done.

Pauly, I hope your sore throat goes away quickly. I think Lav is right about the vitamins just passing thru if your body doesn't need them.

Snapping turtles have powerful jaws. If one bites you it more or less latches on and you can't get it off until it lets go. At least that's what I've been told. The other thing is they eat the fish in the pond. Sometimes I've seen fish still alive but with big bites taken out of them by a snapper.

Let's all have a great AF Saturday.
        Dill

Dont forget, you can: start late, start over, be unsure, try and fail AND STILL SUCCEED!

          Good morning friends, happy Saturday!

So nice to see blue skies & sunshine BUT it isn't staying around long, More storms are rolling in this afternoon. This weather is just tiresome.
YB & our son are out on a fishing boat off of the coast of Cape May, NJ today. I hope they get back in OK, geez.

Dill, I didn't see anyone obviously overdoing the wine last night yet I was shocked at the number of empty bottles piling up in the recycling can.
I had no desire to drink, didn't feel jealous or anything like that. I was especially grateful to be clear-headed for the drive home at 9 pm because a dense fog rolled in while we were there making driving kinda scary. Bunco is a dice game. You sit at tables of 4 people & when you lose a round you move to the next table. It was kinda weird but turned out to be fun & a lot of giggling.
There was a big table of food that people brought in so there was plenty to eat. I figured everything would be loaded with cheese & it was. So I brought a couple loaves of dairy-free pepperoni bread ~ good

I have spotted poison ivy in the usual areas around here so I am steering clear & keeping my fingers crossed. Hope you are OK today Cyn & can find a tube of Cortisone or something to help relieve the itch.

Pauly & Star, what are you doing today?
Stay away from those nasty turtles Dill!!!

Have a great AF day everyone!

              Good morning...

Super busy yeterday, I had to go to work with my husband to pick up my car, then grocery store, cleaning, back to the city for hair appointment, then made a dinner for familly who came over about five. Wine and canvas was fun, but no wine, for me. Got to go, company is up. Have a good one.

                Good Sunday morning friends

Sun & blue skies here for a change, yay!!
There's still talk of a possible frost tonight, probably in areas a bit north of us, geez. We really have has whacky weather so far this year!

Sounds like you are having a whirlwind weekend Star. Good for you

I spent some time trimming overgrown shrubs yesterday before the storms arrived. Looks a bit better but there is much more to do.
Just got a message that the weekend fishermen are on the way home - fishless, ha ha!!

Hello to Cyn, Dill & Pauly!
Have a wonderful AF day everyone.

Late check in here. Busy seems to be the common theme! LOL

Really cold here and it is possibly going to FROST tonight. Sheesh! We have our annuals covered with sheets for the second night in a row.

Let's all have a peaceful, AF Sunday night.

Hi all - late check in -- we are HOME! The weather turned really cold and wet up in Canada, and it was due to snow tomorrow (our original departure day), so we decided to get home a day early. 8 hours + drive, but since we started at 7:30AM, it seemed like it went by faster. We got home to feed the pups their dinner, then went right in to unpack, laundry, etc. It's such a help to be home an extra day before our company arrives on Wednesday.

Pauly - Good for you for giving up the cigs!! I know it can make people feel icky in the meantime, but so worth it! Glad the B vits seem to be working -but Lav's right, if you take them too late in the day it can keep you up. I hope the hair-color lady didn't make you crazy yesterday!

Lav, Star, and Dill; life sounds busy and good. I finally googled my rash, and sure enough it really looks like poison ivy - plus I did read that it can take up to 72 hours to show up. I'm sure it happened when I took the big paper leaf bags full of stuff to the dump a week ago Saturday. That's the only time I wasn't completely covered up!!! I'm SO grateful that it didn't get all over me -- this silver-dollar sized rash was unbelievably itchy and painful - now it doesn't hurt as much, but it sure looks terrible. Sheesh! But as I said, I'm just grateful that it wasn't a bigger patch. Now I will know to be super-careful, even when taking the bags...

I love being home, and now will have my own routine back for at least a day or two - that will help me get grounded again, and feeling more centered. I love seeing the new sites when traveling, but I really love coming home!

Take care all - wishing you a great start to the week --

                          Good morning...

Trying to wake up, too busy on the weekend, and now work week starting! It is amazing how time flies when busy.

Cyn, glad you are home, I feel the same after a trip. Love the trip but so good to be back.

Lav, looks like an interesting website, thanks.

Dill, from up north, we never planted till Memorial Day weekend, due to freezes. Guess it followed me.

Pauly, hope you have a good week.

Happy Monday, now for more coffee.

Hello All, waking up to a heavy frost. We are worried that our sheets covering the plants may not have been enough. Fingers crossed!

Cyn, PI is the itchiest! It absolutely drives me crazy when I get it, even a small patch. Be aware that scratching it can spread it, too. I'm glad you had a nice trip but agree that leaving a day early was the wises course. Oh, and btw, I watched Prime Suspect, the Final Act last night. Well, half of it anyway. Helen Mirren's portrayal of the descent into full blown alcoholism and coming to grips with it while dealing with major problems at work and in her family was phenomenal. I think at some point I will go back and watch the entire series. I see it is available on Netflix.

Lav, too bad your men folk came home empty-handed. Mr. D and grandson went fishing down in our little pond yesterday. It's almost impossible NOT to catch a fish it is so full of them. I went with them but lasted all of 30 seconds sitting in the cold wind before I went up to the house, got them jackets and hats, and went back in to curl up with a book! LOL! It took them forever but they finally caught a couple. Threw them back in tho.

Pauly, very well done on tackling the cig quit. My hat is off to you. Are you using Nicorette? Whatever strategy you use, I wish you strength. I know it is hard. I have never been a smoker but I have watched people try to quite over the years. Mr. D for one, managed to succeed over 20 years ago! Thank goodness.

Star, We are not supposed to have frost in this zone after May 10th. At least that is what I have always been told. This is an odd year. It actually got down to 28 out here in the country. In town it was 31. Has your son had any news on the job front? My fingers are crossed for him.

No plans here for today except to recuperate from the weekend. Have a good one everyone.
                            Dill

Good morning friends, Monday it is!

Feeling kind of worn out myself from a busy weekend & dealing with a lot of sneezing - allergy stuff.
My sleep has been off the past few nights as well which doesn't help. When I step back for a few minutes & observe the building tension around here, it makes sense I'm suffering in the sleep department. Tension = YB & his upcoming June 10 retirement. I'll say no more. He's just ridiculous.

Glad you are home safe & sound Cyn. I love to travel & miss it but it's just not in the cards for me at this point.
I hope the poison ivy dries up quickly, yuck. Get some rest before life gets too busy again.

Dill, the temps held in the 40's here overnight so no frost. We had always been completely safe to plant around Mother's day here but I think climate change is altering that. I cooked pork tenderloins in the crockpot yesterday to feed the crowd. My younger grandson thought it was fish his daddy caught, ha ha!!!

Star, I hope the week goes well for you
My quest for dairy free recipes has turned up a lot of recipes using nuts, nutmilk, etc. Searching for allergy free recipes turned up the website I posted above.

Pauly, what's up with you? Are you feeling better?
I have had some crazy sneezing & runny nose symptoms myself the past few days - swell.

Have a great AF day everyone!
