mornin all ..jist realised its only 10 days till we go away...wow and I aint done jack yet!!also startin to sink in..3 wks time and I am 60 ..dont ask me why..but I have such a mobid dread to the point of scared of it that its unreal!!if I could put it on hold I defo would...but time marches on so guess I have to march with it..anyways movin swiftly on..

hiya Lav..wow you had your hands full yesterday..nice pics you put up..as for growing the tomatoes...swop you..I wish I could grow mine outside..as for the chard..I grew that speshully for the rabbits..and they now decide they dont like it!!!yes Jeeves is a real into everything rabbit..you can actually see the cogs whirring in his head!!morning brew here.

Morning all

Mick, thanks for the brew. Yep, I hit that 60 milestone last year. My oldest brother and I have the same birfday. He turned 70 this year and has been living in a nursing home since last year with dementia, this aging stuff will definitely make you look twice, not sure what I'm looking at..... yet I am enjoying a day by day that I really don't dwell on it and I really am damn grateful it is being done sober. Only regret is I waited to stay sober and wasted a bit of time, so now time seems a little more precious.

Pauly, thanks for asking about my daughter, she's doing ok but still seems to hope there's a chance for reconciliation. Well, here's one person that it not hoping that will ever happen. On the positive side, she's landed a job starting this Monday, live in nanny, so she'll move out for a bit and not be by herself, moping about. Sounds like a very nice situation.

Trying to find a quiet moment to post has been an issue all week.
Life is good, just busy & with someone hanging over my shoulder, ugh.
My granddaughter is here for a few days so we are doing our best ti have fun. Heavy duty, tropical type rain here today, yucky.

Mick, I dreaded turning 60 as well BUT it's still better than the alternative, right?
You & I both have good reasons to be grateful that we are even still alive, let alone thriving at this point Sam has the right attitude. Let's all make the most of what we have left!

Sam, that's great news about your daughter. Will she be close enough to visit you frequently & pester you? Ha ha! It sounds like a good opportunity for her, I hope she enjoys herself.

Hey all...back again.

Eye checkup shows no change, still on 4 drops a day. Because of the steroids my cataract is merrily growing along. We've decided to hold off surgery till it really starts to interfere with things. Got back from my appointment to find a note on my desk saying pack it up whenever you want, the rest of us have left. So I left. LOL

Sam...I remember reading at one time that "he" needed to get the rest of his stuff or it was gone. Got a better idea of what's going on now. Sounds like a positive step for your daughter, hope it all works out.

Pi...hope things are working out for your Dad as well.

took the day off from the gym to heal up my left quad which i managed to pull somehow.

Pauly you and me both on the allergies.... i slept with the window open last night and just after waking up i sneezed
at least 15 times in a row. I was totally dizzy, but thankfully it passed.

PPQ, I'm off the tinned fish tonight too! made some Asian-inspired meatballs and broccoli which was yummo.

It was a coin converter in a Safeway's grocery store. Although there wasn't the bells & whistles like the slots in the casino it made a lot of noise!! One shopper actually came up and said "found this dime on the floor, it's yours" LOL

I use coinstar but never had $350 in change, mostly $45,lately $12 haha
