Coffee ready....breakfast eaten....glad it's Friday. Today starts the 10 Days of Stampede here in Calgary. It's basically a 10 day party where anything goes. The Alberta Liquor and Gaming Board, in their questionable reasoning, has decided that people can start buying liquor at 7am and extended closing times to 4am. So grateful I'm way past the stampede partying phase. Haven't been in years.

been burning that candle at both ends here lately and finally caught up with me. I don't do too well with lack of sleep and took advantage of the option of grabbing a good night rest. Had some very weird dreams, one about running property lines, woe back, need to think about that one!

Mae everybody, thanks for the kickoff PPQP,Iswear ever since the 4th my sleep has been weird,just not feeling caught up,maybe its stress over hubs' job change,dang it makes me nervous but shit,I always worry about stuff and it ends up fine so my brain needs to just shut up! it's not my bloody job anyways,just breathe through it I guess,praying for peace with all this violence going on,that's depressing too,can't change it though,much love to all

I can't imagine a 10 day alcohol fest spurred on by the government. That's worse than being on a college campus with the nonstop partying. I sure as hell would stay off of the roads for the next 10 days - geez!

Sam, I was wondering about you, glad you checked in. This heat is kicking my butt, I am not a fan, yuck.
Sleep has been hard to get around here too due to my ailing, older dog. I hope you can catch up this weekend.

Pauly, when I started on my AF journey I decided to stop worrying about stuff (and people) that I cannot control!!!!
That honestly took a huge weight off my shoulders & I was finally able to learn to relax. That's where the guided meditations & hypno CDs came in handy

Lav, indeed racial tension is flaring badly and it's probably going to get worse in my gloomy prediction as it's been festering for quite some time. This country is sick plain and simple...we have more of our population in prison than any other nation on Earth. All I can think of that's in our personal grasp is to love one another and be nice. Of course our fearless leaders will seek to throw new legislation and other 'do something' tactics at this which never works out.

Made a Filipino dish last night with 'pancit lug lug' noodles last night. they are made of rice instead of flour and were quite good. just hard to say

WOW....feeling overwhelmed with the sh*t going on right now.
Removed the caveats on the land so "ex" could sell and now that he's got the freedom is thinking of not selling!
Dealing with the 16K lawyer bill to find out that beneficiaries have forced a formal passing of accounts on my Dad's estate.
Boss says let shut it down at 9:30am and I actually said no. I am expecting a parent to come in to apply for a sport subsidy and will wait for them. Celebration of Life event booked for tonight saw the widow and daughters coming in and rearranging everything, and since boss said shut it down I was the only one there to deal with it. First time in a long time that I really wanted to head to the liquor store on the way home, reasoning was for F's Sake why am I responsible for everything. And once again while parked in front of the liquor store I thought of Mick. Best advice he's ever given me is stop and make a list, pros and cons. So I sat there and did just that. Won't go into my list but the result was I ended up at the local farmers market, came home and enjoyed a wonderful fresh dinner.

Mick...just want you to know how much I appreciate your dedication to this thread. :hug:
