morning all ...time for the sunday brew...how are we all doing today then?good I hope...for some weekend is finishing,others half way thru,but as long as it was a good one thats all that matters..spent a lot of time in the garden yesterday..took my little fountain thing apart,built a dry stone wall around it...didnt like it..knocked it down and put it back to how it was!!in the greenhouse this morning doing some of the plant maintenance..

hiya Lav...hows you then today?how is the greenhouse going?looking forward to seeing that progress!!but first...that brew..garden is starting to produce wel...onions are ready ,turnips looking pretty good..and courgettes..

hiya pauly...had our soothing oatmeal today?try it mixed with flavoured yoghurt...its ace..yep sure have had a run in with doctors receptionists in the past..thats not to say they are all like it,but there is a couple that have hacked me off in the past..so what have you been doing over the weekend?anything spesh?

hiya Sam hows you ..apart from bored that is....can you not do something else whilst you are hanging around doing nowt?ie take some surveying work that needs written up or something?

hiya pie...thanks for the recipe...Im going to try that ..howsthings with you today then?best of luck with the condo..guess what..if you recall I built a bigger hutch in my garage for the rabbits because of the cold weather..neither of them were interested in it or even going inot the garage...so I took it apart and used the wood elsewhere..can you guess what part of the house they have played in most of the weekend?and in fact where they are now....

another summery kinda day. Pretty intense rain yesterday afternoon in town, got home and the Mrs said we'd gotten a gentle rain. Amazes me how localized rainfall will be.

Thanks for the Sunday brew Mick. Thought you might be out detecting but I'm sure you got to get caught up on things. Got your wabbits back yet? Regarding work, oh yes I read plenty. Part of my discomfort is that everyone else is busy, me being the new "kid" I don't have many projects and I'm not going out in the field with the others to learn my job. If it continues, Im gonna yack at my boss. Funding to be available this week so I'm told so maybe things will pick up. Patience...... (SF, don't think I haven't wanted to bring my fiddle!)

Meanwhile.... off veying, today. hope everyone has an enjoyable day. see you all tomorrow, same bat time, same bat channel.

Mae everybody, no tomatoes for me this year for some reason? Plant is still alive but no fruit, I really wanted pumpkins but they're still not blooming and if they haven't by now I'm sure they won't,plants big though my tooth hurts,yippie, I'm absolutely NOT going to the Indian clinic for my teeth, all of my my life they've messed up my teeth and the kids' too,and after this b.s with my blood and the run around I'm ready to never go back again! I'm gonna pay out of pocket and go to hubs' naturopathic doctor for my bloods,probably more accurate anyways, I posted the pic of Louie on Facebook mixing our play doh cuz it drives me nuts,I want to make stuff and he just wants to squash it and let his toys play in it haha,he thinks the colors mixed looks cool though that kid I swear is a crack up,anyhoo,hungry hippo this morning so off to the kitchen, hello Lav, Pie,Sam,Det,PQ,SF Byrdie, I hope we all have a great day

Checking in to stay accountable. Got to work on Friday and Ex had already called 5 times. Continued phoning another 11 times, didn't answer any of them. Been advised by the police to answer a call and tell him that he's not allowed to phone here anymore and have a witness to the call. Boss said he'll be the witness. Then if it continues I can have him charged with harassment.

Wasn't able to get to the garden on Saturday as we're still having popup downpours. Spent the day dodging rain getting chores done. Same weather pattern here today so it looks like a clean the oven day. :yay: (catch the sarcasm?)

Positive for today, no landline plugged in, ex doesn't know my cell phone number so no dealing with phone calls.

Pauly, I've heard that if you give tomatoes too much of certain nutrients that they will grow well but won't grow fruit...? I'm no tomato expert but I do have 3 that have survived and one of them has tiny green tomatoes on it... fingers crossed here.

well, uneventful quiet day here which is ok. Laundry, tuned my ham radio antenna, watching photography how-to videos and just started on the star trek enterprise series from 2004 which is quite good.

better get my bum outside and mow the lawn.

Mick--your stonewall reminded me of how many times I would repaint a room to make it just a touch lighter then repaint it again to make it two shades darker. Now I have absolutely no interest in decorating--throwing a new pillow on the bed from time to time to shake things up.

Sam--well if you take your fiddle in and play poorly maybe that would speed things up. i suspect soon you will be so busy and wishing for these "the new guy" days.

Pauly--good doctors and dentists are so hard to find. I can't tell you how many we ran through when we moved. Now we still drive across town to get to the ones we found. And if anything serious was to ever come up....I'd be on a plane to Cleveland for a second opinion with the doctors I went to for 20 years.

PPQ---I can't imagine dealing with that! It's your work place. At least they are understanding.

Lav--i thought you were going to use the greenhouse. It's probably best to just let YB deal with all the hassles.

Pie....honestly it seems like I get more done when I don't feel bogged down with a list. I still make lists and it's such a treat to pick it up and realize I have 95 percent of it done.

Det--I can't grow shit. I can't even keep the plants alive.

Not much new. Manager is dragging her feet on moving me to another department. Found out there is an opening there and they want me to come over. So it's just being the squeaky wheel. Her problem is that people keep leaving because they had to start using this new scheduling system and everyone hates the 4-5 hour shifts. At first they were all...."sorry you have been here 9 years--but this is how it's going to be---so maybe you should find a new job". I think they were all high and mighty because people usually bang down the door to work there because it is a really great company. I think they are now finding the only people who want to work 5 days and have 23 hours is nobody. Not even the college kids. And for the first time they are having a hard time finding people to come on. Even though I love the company.....I still like it when a company institutes something stupid and it backfires on them. Especially when they treat people who have been loyal and worked hard like they don't matter. I do think it was the mangers discretion on how to handle it....and it's blowing up on her. l
