Patient: Doctor help me please, every time I drink a cup of coffee I get this intense stinging in my eye.

Doctor take the bloody spoon out of the cup first!

I just got a photo from a speeding camera through the mail. I sent it right back – way too expensive and really bad quality.

Two police officers crash their car into a tree. After a moment of silence, one of them says, “Wow, that’s got to be the fastest we ever got to the accident site.”

    Mum, I'm already 14, can't I finally get a bra?!

    NO Harold!

"Please help me doctor, I have a bowel movement every morning at 7!"

"But that is a very healthy thing, Mr. Richards!"

"It would be, if I didn't usually wake up at 8:30!"

Morning Mick but its Monday evening here. Like you ice-cream is my weakness and I must be feeling better because I am eating some now. I lost weight when I was in the UK recently - it was all the walking we did. Plus very long flights with ghastly food and no AL. And its just not so easy to snack when you are staying in someone else's house. Of course I bought some new clothes in the UK and they probably won't fit in a few weeks time. Thats why I have to go on holiday - to loose weight!
anyway I am sure you will shed those pounds - running around and gardening and what not. Sounds like portion control works for you too (seems like you dont portionise so much on hols).
Yep, Vegas sure gets a bad rap. The sleazy and gambling side has never appealed to me but it seems to attract tourists. But I love the desert - so maybe thats a side to enjoy if you are on holiday there?? Anyway we know here that perfectly nice and lovely people like Pauly inhabit Vegas - and they have no strange habits:eek-new:
I'm still catching up with what folk are up to on this thread - but same old (excuse word choice!) faces - give or take - which is great.
I'm watching the series 'Damages' - bit by bit late at night. I never saw it when it first came out so no spoilers please but I find it absorbing and it has some good plot lines.
OK - have a great Monday one and all!

I guess you don't like 'Happy Valley' either Mick? Too depressing? I really enjoyed both seasons. I also liked the way they handled the alcohol issues in it.

Mae everybody, no Vegas does suck! Think of it,,, people come here, lose their money, indulge in prostitution and overindulgence, everything goes pear shaped not everyone of course but there's a lot of skeezy people, I grew up in rural NV born and raised in a town of 4,000 people my family hates Vegas and always will, in fact my dad has a girlfriend in Ireland and he has her fly into the salt lake airport cuz after picking her up once here he told her"no more f#$&en Vegas! Haha, weekend was ok,we spent a lot of time indoors cuz of the heat and air but did manage to go for a bit of lunch yesterday, I guess it did rain on the west side but nothing on my side, ice cream has become my thing now too there's a brand called Tillamook that is so creamy and smooth it's addictive and I use one of Louie' bowls and baby spoons to eat it(portion control) however I fill it up again"just a teensy bit" haha,oh well better than booze, much love to all, I hope today is a great day!
I have too much shit to do today and tomorrow to drink:sohappy:

I'm taking care of the "tomorrow me"
Drinkin won't help a damn thing! Will only make me sick for DAYS and that ugly, spacey dumb feeling-no thanks!

Good Monday afternoon Abbers, happy August too!

We've got another thunderstorm going on right now, tons of rain too. This consistently damp weather is starting to get on my nerves & it's making me ache. Fall is just around the corner so I am hopeful.

Thanks for the startup Mick & the coffee too.
My weight seems to be seriously stuck & I am over worrying about it be ause there's not much I can do. It's about 10 pounds, certainly could be worse.

            Hi TT!
I am not familiar with the shows uou mentioned but I just may see if I can find them in Netflix or something. It's nice to get into something different once in a while

Pauly, go easy on the ice cream, it can be inflammatory for some of us.
I don't eat any & still can't lose weight, go figure, ha ha!

I have the boys here so I'll check in later when they have gone home!!!!
Have a great AF day everyone!

Mae everyone. Count me in for the ice cream club, I buy Tillamook also Pauly, and magna bars, very decadent and expensive, but totally orgasmistic!

ow we have a closing date on the house 9\27, the husband invited me up to the house to raid his/mine pantry. My friend drove me and we did make out like bandits, he had a fair bit of wild salmon, coho and king. I started to casually tell him what I wanted to keep and I immediately had aggro, so I might try a mediator. I have a chest there which is 150 yrs old + and I said I would like it and he said the buyer wanted all contents and to buy another one!! The buyer also wanted contents of garage. She is a single, middle aged woman with 2 other homes in California and Japan.
So, he said yes to garage contents including boat (hard to manage and put in ocean, and towing), a fly-fishing pontoon, a cedar canoe, a wood chipper (unfortunately never got to use it re Fargo, lol) chain saws, table saws, etc. He said yes to selling these things (???). But the next request floored me. He wants me to pay 50% of his $25,000 of his credit card that I've never used for his sacrifice of his toys! For those who don't know he had an affair with my friend when I went to Dallas to be with my only new born grandchild. He denied me entrance back into the house and I've had to live I low-income properties ever since.
My friend dumped him and all of her cosmetics, etc. are still there. He is 8 yrs. older than me and we were together 30 yrs. He doesn't want to share his pension and thinks the $20.00/month medical supplement will suffice! He doesn't want a divorce because he will have to disclose all his income, but I am pushing for one and I am sure as hell not paying for his credit card.
Don't want to be a downer, because I'm not down, just incredulous at his memory and his nerve.

Anyway, I'm already starting to laugh about this.

P.S. Of course she's no longer my friend, but managed to steal my mother of the bride gown (Saks Fifth Ave) because she attends these poncy do's. Sooooooo much more of my stuff is missing, and he claims I took it with me, but I was only going for a temporary visit, which became longer because he told me to look for another house there, but he was with her, so looking for another house was a fool's errand. I'm over it now, but don't like to think about it.

                    Happy unhung Monday ABerooos!

Mick, trying to stay out of icecream-land myself but then Pauly has to rave about this new brand! you rascal

SK, glad you're keeping your sense of humor in the midst of such crud.

Lav, feeling for you. Humidity is my nemesis. My couple weeks in Israel was unbearably hot and humid. No wonder things are so tense over there..... they're bloody miserable!

Just got a phone call to come interview for a photojournalist job for local TV station tomorrow. That could be interesting.

...........just in on the AP wire..... Det's 'eye on icecream' special report.............

anyhoo, feeling like my brain hasn't really woken up for some reason. Time for another brew me thinks.

be well everyone and all to come

Glad you are here with us. If nothing else maybe we can provide some distraction for you.

Det, the temp here has dropped about 10 degrees since all the rain but it's still supervhumid, yuck.
Good luck with the interview tomorrow, sounds like a pretty cool dig

Wishing everyone a peaceful AF night!
