morning all and thanx for the brew, Mick. love the pic of the nosey wabbits
couldn't pull myself out of bed this morn. Finally cool enough to sleep. Worked till about 2 yesterday before we ran out of water, took a break to the store and tanked up. Went back and saw the thunderheads rolling in. End of day! Stormed till evening so the rest of the day was a wash. Back to the soils today. Haven't looked at the weather yet but I'm sure it is more of the same.

off to it friends, be well

Morning Mick, Sam, and all to follow. Sweet wabbit pics! Was quite a scene last night when the rescue caravan arrived with the first batch of dogs from this particular case. The numbers were higher than expected, so of course there's now one here at Casa Pie. Observing quarantine protocol is a challenge

SF - What is this new department you'll be moving to?

Nora - I take it you're a fan of sci-fi movies? It's not usually my genre, but may check out the two you suggested.

Not at all sure what today will bring, but hoping there's a veterinarian appointment in the very near future.

        Good afternoon Abbers, happy Monday!

It is still hot as hell here, no nice way to describe it really. Gross, disgusting, etc.

        Mick, thanks for the coffee!
I tried to look at your metal detector but the link didn't open, maybe an ipad thing.
Too hot to work on the greenhouse today so it's going to have to wait a bit. Sounds like you found some good stuff yesterday. Your bunnies are spoiled, ha ha!

Sam, we had the most incredible lightening I have ever seen last night between 9 & 10 pm. We heard some distant thunder but never had a drop of rain. Weird!
Send some of your cooler air up this way, please!!

Wow Pie, you never know what those poor dogs are carrying on them or in them
Better to keep your doggie crew safe. I hope everything works out OK.

Hello to everyone, I'll see if I can stop back in later.
Have a fabulous AF day everyone!!

          MAE ALL....

Mick...thanks for starting us off this morning. Nice detector! Well all this talk of dentists has gotten to me, I now have a toothache! Kept me up most of the night. As soon as the boss makes an appearance I'll get it dealt with, so for now Anbesol is my best friend.

Sam...hope you actually had some work to do at the soils, otherwise it makes for a long day.

Pi...I bet it was quite a sight. Keep that quarantine up, you never know.

Lav...at least with our afternoon thunderstorms it cools right down.

Pretty quiet at work today and to be honest can't be bothered to get into anything. So MWO'ing and Facebooking. Have a great day all.....:smile:PPQP

Raise your hand if you know what seed ticks are? OMFG! When what I took for flea dirt on the new dog's bedding started moving, I took a pic and sent to my group for identification. Then I Googled. Then I lost count of the number of times I lathered the dog up, and rinsed him off again. There were THOUSANDS embedded in his skin. At the vet this afternoon, she didn't find any, so perhaps I got them all?? I bought a preventative called NexGard just in case to give to the foster dog as well as my own. So gross, I'd rather view morgue photos again than to ever see another seed tick!

We are actually getting rain tonight PQ but it seems to be making the heat & humidity worse. How the hell is that even possible? Ha ha.
Glad you had a quiet-ish day at work

Pie, I had to Google seed ticks - ugh!
Sorry you have all that to deal with today, geez. Those poor dogs must have been in terrible conditions.

              Where is Pauly today?
Hi to Det, SF & anyone else showing up later.

              Peace to all tonight!

Lav--we had about 3 weeks of that rain that turns to humidity. As soon as it would dry up, it would rain again just enough to get the humidity back. It would still be thick at 11p at night. Today got pretty hot, but without the humidity I am not complaining.

Mick....your treasures! What do you do with them? Do you keep them or sell them?

Pie.....that poor dog. So glad that he was taken in by someone with a big heart.

I stopped into a noon AA meeting and really enjoyed it. Topic was about people who have long term sobriety what keeps them coming to meetings. Got me to thinking about the people here who have years and years of sobriety and they are always here. Always ready to jump in and help. Always here to help out when someone is dealing with any of the issues life throws at us.

Been running around crazy getting the boys settled into their new schools. We got re-zoned....the school they were in is considered one of the best for the Nashville area. The pressure and intensity of that school was a bit much (pressure to keep their ratings up). New schools are a better fit for everyone. Last year my son got really sick.....and it was all due to stress. I don't recall having any stress in 7th grade or even knowing what it was.

No news on husband's surgery. Dealing with his workplace and a whole bunch of people who aren't doing their job.

Pie....I'm moving to where they prepare the food. I will have limited time on the floor. It's been interesting to hear people with long term sobriety talk about how this wine thing has had an effect on them that they didn't expect.
