mae all..dental trip finished ...till monday,window in,job done feel abs crap this mornin...head full of cotton wool,runny nose ,aching ,sore throat ..yep think its the dreaded manflu!!not a common or garden cold but the biggie!!!:eek-new:

anyways how are we all?doing good?just be careful when you read this...manflu can get into the body in all sorts of ways,so its best to read this with your eyes shut:thumbsupretty cold last night ,think we have missed fall and going for a straight winter..bit of a frost this morning

right one large brew all round...again to limit the possibilties of being a manflu carrier and getting germs off the cup,its probably best to lower the chances of infection by placing a straw in said liquid and sooking it up through a nasal passage...........................................

morning Lav,glad daughter is doing ok...many moons ago my bil wife broke her leg..now in order to help her out,considerate Tony bought a bar stool so that she could sit at the sink and do the dishes,how thoughtful is that???so you are busy ?embroidery,garden or general?

Hi Mick - dont give me the flu and dont ask me to look after a man with the man flu. Hope it passes soon as it sounds miserable.
Daughter may have sorted something exciting but she tends to change her mind - so I am waiting until its all sorted out. She needs to do some reality checking on what study abroad means - and guess who alerts her to the realities - grumpy old Mum.

Mick...you are my rock and I appreciate your dedication to this thread. Sorry you have been hit with the dreaded "Manflu" maybe it's your body saying you need downtime and you're going to take it. I have my gloves on while typing this. Whatever the Doc gave me has been a huge success. No more pain in the chest!

TT...as bad as Manflu is I think the caregivers have a tougher job. LOL Hope you're also getting some downtime.

Struggles still avail but my attitude has changed. I am actually feeling hopeful and wouldn't have got to this point if I'd given into AL to make it all go away, which it wouldn't have. I thank all of you here for your support, it's the reason I continue to be AL Free......:smile:PPQP

Doing my 10 pm check in, better late than never
Everything is OK & I am tired, ha ha! Returned my granddaughter to her home this afternoon so she can get back to school tomorrow. My daughter is doing well with fresh dressings on her surgical site (I always travel with a bag of sterile dressings, ha ha). It was a little shocking to see the three pins protruding from the bottom of my daughter's foot but they looked good - in a medical sense. I hope she does all the healing she needs to do over the next 6 weeks so she can get back to her life. Her knee scooter rental arrived today - pretty cool little thing but she needs some practice.

Mick, I sure hope you feel better soon & don't infect all of us, ha ha!!

TT, where in the world is your daughter thinking about going to study? If she would like to live in cow/corn country, let me know

I would not have been much help to my daughter this past week if I was back in that chronically hungover state I was in 8 years ago.
I believe we can handle absolutely anything when we have clear heads! We are all in this together :hug:

Looks like moods and stresses are easing off a bit all 'round which is lovely to see. I totally concur... with an AF brain we can do most anything.

Forgot to tell you all about our big scare the other night. I'm in bed drifting off and I hear DX yelling and hopping all over the living room. I spring into action ready to fight off zombie ninjas only to see her pointing at one of the AC wall sockets shooting bright blue and yellow sparks all over the floor. egad! I raced out to the breakers and turned them off, not sure which was which... got the socket unscrewed and inside it was all melted with wires frayed and burnt. I'm just so glad she was still up to notice it... we could have woken up barby q'd to well-done. So damn scary. Electrician coming over Sat to get this mess figured out.

Work is mellow and low-stress, so yay!
