Hi there everyone- having a quick read over breakfast and see that 2 threads started on Thursday so rather than post on one or both, I will start the Friday, lets get into the weekend, thread - its almost 9 hours into Friday where I live anyway.
Hope you get those toothies sorted before Christmas Mick. What a bloody (!!) long process.
Headaches SK? Should be gone by now I hope.
Thinking of you on the job front PQ - because I know how it is. Seriously, this has been the hardest time in my career and it aint over yet.
But I think the rats (touch wood) may have gone. No noise lately - so i think the bait stations in the bushes did it. Pie, we have a cat, and he spends a lot of time roaming outdoors but he has never caught anything, as far as I am aware. I guess the positive side of that is that he does not terrorize the birds. He is very timid (traumatized before we got him from SPCA years ago) and rather stupid IMO. Well no cat is stupid of course!
Pauly - I think most Mums are nosy with their kids - and we will always worry about them. My daughter likes to act all independent and thats fine, but then she asks for help, and then gets grumpy because I over-do it. I dont think I will ever get the right balance. Still yesterday her and I had a really lovely walk- combined it with a driving lesson. I always try to avoid talking about tricky subjects when we have walks together - want to enjoy the space and time together.

Det - bit early for you to post on Friday but hope the week has gone well.

hiya tt...ta for the start up..Imissed the sam fred yesterday was too busy doing nuffink..if I told you ..you wouldnt believe me...but was flower arranging ..yes me...how that started was I found the vino jug in a charity shop and cos it had sunflowers ..thank you..we then put flowers in it ..and I had to try and create as near as poss with artyfishul..so there we go job done....that was taken this morning sorry about the light....

as for the cats ..there are quite a few here ..as its open country at the back ..they jot about in the grass pretending they are large felines,ginger black, black n white the lot..not exactly camo expers ..have a bit of prey stalk and hunt...then go home for their bowl of cat food!

rats? hmmm... we always just used big rat traps in Aussie where we had jurassic rats for sure.

most of the crew is taking the day off as it's Nevada day but I need the bux so it should be a nice quiet work day
I hope. Hands are so sore from working on ornery little springs/pins etc but it's good satisfying work and I can't complain.

raining like mad here and will be through the weekend... oh well. Guess it's movies and popcorn again

TT...thanks for starting the thread and eliminating any confusion this morning. LOL Thought you'd solved the rat problem but I guess not eh? Our website crashed last night so it's been a day of dealing with hosting company, website designer and IT support. The day just flew by.

Mick...love the vino flower pot. Well done, there's no end to your talents. Boss is supposed to be back to work on Monday so I may just take Tuesday off. LOL Definitely have to make some me time.

Det...great to see you posting in the morning. Do you get time and a half for working the NV holiday. I'm glad the work is satisfying. Keep up the good work.

Pauly...ended up grilling a steak with potatoes and cheese covered broccoli. The chef was in at work today so I've brought home fresh salmon for supper tonight. Love it when I don't have to figure out what to make. Hope you had a great Friday.

I haven't had time to play in the greenhouse yet but I did notice weeds growing up thru the floor the other day. How is tgat possible with a concrete foundation with 4 inches of stone on top & another 3 inches of stone dust compacted on top of that?? Crazy, ha ha!!
