Tree girl, wish I was away this week. I hope you are enjoying yourself! Can't wait to hear more about it!
Did my ten hours today and I was glad to be out of the house. Stressing some with the upcoming wedding plans and sometimes it's nice to just be away from it.
Just a quick pop in for me. Pretty tired. Sweet dreams!

      Good evenig friends,

Got lots of odds & ends done today including hauling home 250 pounds of chicken feed for my feathered friends, ha ha!

Star,I have had a bit of trouble sleeping since Christmas. I suspect it's likely due to indulging myself with a few too many dairy free cookies I baked, oops! I will stay away from the rest & put them out for the wildlife or something. Too much sugar is just bad any way you look at it I'm afraid. Next month I have a case of Girl Scout cookies coming thanks to my granddaughter, oh my.

Pauly, that is really sad about your coworker, hope she is OK.
I am paranoid about stuff like that & just never put myself into potential situations (unsafe) like that. Be careful out there & be aware of your surroundings!!! I sound a bit like a mother hen, ha ha!

Cyn, I hope you are finding a moment for yourself this week

Hi Liz, I hope you are getting some rest after your long day. I don't miss them, not even a little. When is the wedding?

      Hello to Dill!

      Hsve a peaceful night everyone!

Hello to all, you all sound wonderful!

Liz, wow! A 10 hour day? Is that a regular thing for you? I bet the wedding planning is exhausting, but also exciting. So great that you can be there af for all of it.

Pauly, how scary about your coworker. She is my age exactly and I cannot imagine how horrible it would be to be beaten up!

Star, I haven't time to read but when I have time I have been listening to my Winter Solstice book. It is very calming and a sweet escape.

Cyn, I'm forever amazed at your schedule!

Lav, 250 pounds of feed! That's a big job! Decluttering will be happening around here, too. I am just so bad at clearing out old things. I get attached. But really, at some point they serve no purpose and just are an aggravation. That's something I certainly don't need in my space right now. I hope the decluttering gives me a sense of regaining some control in my life.

Just busy here lately with regular stuff. Holiday visiting is winding down. Must take gson to the doc today for a persistent cough, etc.

Have a great AF Thursday all.
        Dill

Dont forget, you can: start late, start over, be unsure, try and fail AND STILL SUCCEED!

If it is important to you, you will find a way. If not, you will find an excuse.

          Good morning...

Cyn, sounds like a busy and fun time for you, sure you will make the most of it. Hope the destination has good weather, looks like NE is having another storm. Geez, lots of snow up there this year. Hope you get some time to relax and enjoy.

Lav, I don't do well on sugar either, it's hard for me to go cold turkey after indulging for over a week. I went to a yoga class yesterday and it felt good, and plan to exercise again today. It is nice to be off. 250 lbs of chicken feed, wow. Any plans for today?

Pauly, how horrible to be mugged and beaten, that is so scary. What is wrong with people, wanting to hurt others. I plan to work as long as I can too I love being off but feel a little lonely and bored at the same time. Yesterday was the anniversary of my good friend's death last year and I miss her so much.

Lizann, take care of yourself and hope you get a few days off.

Hello to Dill, thinking of you.

Morning friends, Dill,I hope what happened to my coworker gets her to slow down a bit,she should never have been at the casino alone drinking and gambling into those crazy hours,my mom does the same crap! I love that they want to still feel young and carefree but it makes them an easy target, especially since they're both flirty and social butterflies, they arrested the attacker!!! It was a young woman,I was looking for the story on the news but nada,Star, you said exactly how I feel on days off, lonely and kinda bored, start analyzing my life, think too much, etc,I have a hard time with just being....feel like I always have to be doing something, sorry for your friends passing, anniversary dates are hard,I was sad when they announced Debbie Reynolds dying yesterday cuz I guess she just needed to be with her daughter Lav,that's some heavy feed! Kell surprised me with a fitbit that has a heart rate monitor on it,it's too big and bulky but I'll wear it when I'm exercising for real,I wore it yesterday all day and my couch time was counted as sleep!! Cym,we'll be here when you have some down time Liz,that whole church situation is tough, wishing everyone a peaceful AF Thursday
I have too much shit to do today and tomorrow to drink:sohappy:

I'm taking care of the "tomorrow me"
Drinkin won't help a damn thing! Will only make me sick for DAYS and that ugly, spacey dumb feeling-no thanks!

              Good evening all -

So interesting, isn't it, to try to find the balance between too busy/interesting work/relaxation/meaningful moments. We are in a kind of 'fishbowl' existence here, very strange. Thank goodness last night went off well, so I can relax a little, sort of! I did have a swim today, and that was really welcome. Trying also to meditate - doing too little is stressing me out as much as doing too much! Ha!

I hope all comtinue to be well. Lav, glad the girls are going to be fed. Star, I hear you about the sugar.. it's hard here, without being able to control my food. Pauly , take care, and be safe. Dill, are the gkids staying with you for the duration? What an amazing task to take on... I bet you are ready for school to start...

Take a care all - I'm sending lots of light.
              May we be well...

                Greetings friends,

This week has gone by pretty quickly. I haven't had time to get bored, ha ha!
I made ham & bean soup in the crockpot today, yum.

Dill, I hope your grandson feels better soon. Why do kids always pick up viral stuff during the school break? Seems like that always happened with my kids. I hope you enjoy your decluttering as much as I hope I do

Hi there Star & Pauly. Hope you both had a good low sugar day! Between all this changing damp weather & too much sugar I am beginning to feel kind of achy, yuck. No snow here today, just a cold rain.

Cyn, I love that perfect balance between work & down time too although it's usually difficult to find. I hope you enjoy the rest of your time away.

Wishing everyone a peaceful & restful night.
                Lav

                  Good morning all...

Well,we had what they called, "snow squalls," so have a little bit of snow, but in comparison to up north, this is truly nothing. I went to another fantastic yoga/pilates class and feel sore! But, it was so refreshing, lots of breathing, stretching, and came home to a three hour pantry clean out. It took that long, about 4 bags of garbage, scrubbed shelves, walls and floors, but does it look beautiful. Still working on that kitchen though, and later today a closet. It will feel so good to have this stuff done. I have so much that needs to go, either garbage or good will. Today some work friends are coming over and we are going to a movie together, so that will be fun.

Pauly, yes, out drinking and gambling solo is dangerous, just out in the middle of the night is pushing it in my opinion, but we all get to define what we thing is fun. I was thinking about what you were saying about lonely and bored, and I wonder if getting sober and learning to be comfortable with ourselves, just as we are, is a skill we need to learn? Thanks for the feedback on my deceased friend, it has been hard, we were such talkers, it is so lonely without her. We raised our kids together, we knew so much about each other, it is a huge loss. This first year is hard as I know from my mother dying. Any plans for NYE? I am just going to prepare fish and veggies and talk about 2017 and goals we want to set, that we do every year. I like that. Never drank much on NYE, love to start Jan 1 feeling good.

Lav, I have not done well on eating, darn it. Breakfast and lunch are good, then around dinner and after I make bad choices. I think I need some kind of snack around three so I don't get so hungry and out of control. Sounds like you are having a good week.

Dill, lots of colds and virus' going around, hope things are going better at your place. Decluttering is kind of overwhelming, but once I started and completed the biggest job, I was thrilled. So nice to have room. My husband was worried that we were out of stuff, and I explained to him that lots of things were duplicates, old, or expired. Getting rid of that stuff makes it easier to know what we have. Thinking of you and sending you strength and support. Winter Solstice is a sweet story, glad you are enjoying it.

Cyn, like how you are being mindful of times you can do things for yourself, swimming sounds wonderful. A warm climate would be nice right now. Any goals for the new year?

Lizann, when my daughter prepared for her wedding, I stayed out of it and just supplied money and emotional support. Turned out to be one of the best days of my life, seriously. They get to make their own mistakes and it is not always easy to witness, but makes their relationship stronger over time. Planning a wedding is so complicated with two families and all the traditions involved. Lots to look forward too for you.

Friday already, and Dec 30, almost the end of 2016. A year with both good and bad like all years. Have a great AF day.

Snoopy, thank you for your wedding advice! I am trying to be supportive and will keep out of it unless they ask.

Pauly, my Christmas goodies are almost all gone. I had a lot last night, then proceeded to get a stomach virus last night! I was so freaking sick. Feeling better, but still cup don't want to eat. And there went my extra holiday weight gain!
Just taking go it easy and resting.
                      Have a good night!

                        Good evening friends!

Supermarkets aren't usually mobbed at 2 pm on Fridays but today - geez! I only needed a few things & was fortunate to get one of the last two spots in the parking lot!!! This is amazing since I live in cow country & usually there is no one around, ha ha. I guess people are getting ready for big things this weekend. I think I shall be housebound & happy until the weekend is over.

Star, raw almonds have done wonders keeping me full between meals. I know you are allergic to some nuts but if you can manage the almonds, give them a try. I've been buying them in 5 lb bags on Amazon. I use them to make almond butter too, yum.

Pauly, I am making leftover cookies disappear little by little around here. When YB isn't looking I dump a container or two, ha ha!!! Let us all keep our thoughts positive as we enter the new year

Dill, hope you & your family are all OK.

Liz, my daughter did all of her own wedding planning, we provided cash & credit cards, worked out just fine I hope you are feeling a whole lot better!

Have a wonderfully peaceful night everyone!

                          Greetings all,

When my daughter got married she did all the planning too. We just supplied a good chunk of the money towards it. It was a wonderful day!

Pauly, I like your new avatar!

I apologize that my posts are so sparse. I am still making adjustments here. I am not happy about the turn our lives have taken. I didn't ever plan to be in this position at my age and I am not accepting it as gracefully as I could. I don't really have much time to myself anymore and I am trying to be careful as at where I apply my energy. I'll keep trying.

No particular resolutions here except to get on with life and make the best of things. Lav, Cyn, Star, Pauly, Liz, and all who are reading, have a safe and peaceful, af New Year's Eve.

                            Good morning...

Lav, I have to go to the store this afternoon, bet it is crowded too. We always stay home on NYE, no different this year. I was going to cook, but may just get a pizza, I am cooking for New Year's Day and don't want to overdo! I am afraid to eat nuts, but had a cup of soup about three yesterday, it held me over. However, I am still at home and it is easier. Next week work, and back to a regular schedule which makes it easier for me.

Pauly, I am still enjoying my Christmas decorations, it will be hard to take them down, but will do it tomorrow, tradition. Any plans for tonight?

Lizann, so sorry you got sick, the flu has been going around here too, lots of people at work had it. Hope you are feeling better.

Hello to Dill and Cyn, have a good NYE, AF.
