Getting the thread up there....be right back.

Prayer thread started for Mick and his family. Let's send him all the love and support we can.

    Mick...thinking of you and yours.

Wanted to get this going but have to pop out for a bit. May take awhile as I have to unfreeze the car.
    Will post later today.....:smile"PPQP

Back again and checking in. It's a heatwave, 10 degrees warmer today, hence the amount of traffic out on the roads!!! Roads are still pretty slick so everyone is crawling along. Ugh!

Quiet on the thread today and that's ok. Sure everyone is busy this time of year.
Shout out to all to come and have a Super Sober Saturday.....:smile:PPQP

Mick my thoughts are with you and your family.

TT...hang in there. Some things just suck, especially with work. I'm sorry about your partner. I had to take an alcohol class for work, oddly this class gave me the information to truly forgive myself for ALL the crap I had done. It went pretty in depth on how alcohol directly affects the frontal cortex regardless of how much you have drank. There is no way to control how it will be affected today, tomorrow or anytime. And no matter what....one drink and you are losing control. I know you are upset with your partner and need support. I would just recognize that it was the alcohol/meds. Probably should not have been drinking at all.....but we all know how that goes out the window after one or two.

Even I find myself upset with the person.....when I of all people should know better. I don't think we get left off the hook for our bad behavior, but understanding that mixed with alcohol I truly do not have control of my behavior or actions. This is all shit we know logically, but really knowing it is different.
