    Monday too too

    Morn all
good weekend, work and play. Today a bit of rain followed by more rain tomorrow.

Oldest brother passed away last Thursday. He had been suffering with Alzheimer for at least 2 years. We were not close for the last 7 years of his life as a result of his disease. It only really surfaced in the last two years but I believe that his actions and words to me of 7 or 8 years ago was influenced by his sickness, which at the time was not obvious because he had always been a bit of a contrarian. It is a strange feeling to have a family member pass and not feel much sadness and I guess in part he was so bad off when I'd visit him in the nursing home, he was living a miserable life, so he really is better off to have gone on.

well not much to add, fambily, each has their own drama I suppose.

Mae everybody, Sam I'm sorry for your loss Alzheimer's is sad cuz they're there in body but the mind is somewhere else, I understand that feeling of them passing and not really being super sad just cuz they were kind of "gone" already, my gramma had it so when she passed I was only sad because of the old memories you know? I overloaded myself on salt yesterday, ugh, felt all tingly and bloated then slept horribly cuz I overate,I didnt even bother tracking on myfitnesspal cuz with all I gorged on it probably would have crashed the site hahaha! Much love to all and I hope we all have a nice AF Monday
I have too much shit to do today and tomorrow to drink:sohappy:

I'm taking care of the "tomorrow me"
Drinkin won't help a damn thing! Will only make me sick for DAYS and that ugly, spacey dumb feeling-no thanks!

      MAE ALL...

Sam...thanks for starting us off this morning. It is strange to have a family member pass and not feel sadness but that's life and you're not alone.

Pauly...god job on not crashing the site. LOL

      Mick...you pace yourself out there.

Off to buy and plant flowers for my ex-MIL and then hopefully get back to my veg garden for more work.
Have a great day all and all to come....:smile:PPQP

yoo hoo folks..wow ..its pretty hot today ..20 odd degrees ..well ready for concrete mix to land now...Sam sorry about the loss of your brother...believe me dementia is a bastard..we have just found some more issues to deal with re Julies dad ..I am not going into it,but it aint so clever..
bit weary today..dont know whether its working or just life in general..but hey ho...

I've just had one of those long talks with the wife! "Sometimes I don't think you love me. You never pay me any attention, the only time you want to talk to me is when you want a lift to and from the pub. It's like I'm not even here. Why can't you ever just stop going out with your friends and just stay in with me? One hug a day would mean so much to me. You never take me out anymore either. I have to stay home and look after the kids while you're out drinking. What do you have to say for yourself?" "Man the fck up!" replied my wife.

I've just applied to take part in an adult movie.
The advert says that male applicants must be bigger than 7 inches.
        I should be fine then, I'm 5ft 7

Therapist: Do any sounds annoy you
Me: Real sounds or imaginary sounds
        Therapist: [curious] lets say imaginary
        Me: Spider wearing flip flops

I don't know why anyone would ever want a pocket calculator..

It's really easy to count how many pockets I've got.

If you rearrange the letters of "Postmen", they get very annoyed.

The look on my sons face, when he opened his Birthday present & saw it was flattened cardboard.

I said "You did say you wanted an ex-box?"

My wife is on one of these tropical fruit juice diets, the house is full of the stuff!

It's enough to make a mango crazy.
af since the fourth of July 2012...howzat then America..now proudly marching into year 12

Hey all, Sam so sorry for your loss, it is an awful disease.

Mick, loved the jokes, hope you get a bit more energy, you have been working pretty hard lately.

Porquoi, I want to plant some flowers too. Maybe tomorrow. It is cooler today and the rest of the week, good planting weather.

          Have a good one.

              Re: Monday too too

Hey Mick...I bet it's a combination of all that fresh air working and all the stuff you've been dealing with in your life including the new issues with Julie's Dad. It really can wear you down. Spend some relaxing no-thinking time with P&J. Perhaps you need one more rescue with a "B" name so I can call them PB&J.

Snoop...cooler weather for planting is the way to go. I on the other hand planted my MIL's flowers at the height of the sun and heat. Got home to couch and AC and haven't moved...:smile:PPQP

              X-post Gman...you have a good one too!

                Good evening Abbers,

Sam, very sorry for your loss. Alzheimer's is a rotten disease, the personality changes are difficult to deal with, I know. Hopefully in time some kinder & gentler memories of the two of you will surface

Hello to Pauly, PQ, G, SnoopStar, Mick & everyone!
We have a few days of rain to deal with then hopefully some clearing later in the week. I'm not minding the cooler temps one bit!!

                Have a peaceful night everyone.
I am watching the BBC news about the bombing outside the arena in Manchester Mick, very sad news

the AB too too twain is a chugging along!

good to see all your shiny bright faces today. Sam, thanks for getting the train started and I'm glad your
brother is now in a restful state. My condolences.

                  Mick, you've been working like a madman....that's why you're tired I'm guessing

tired myself after a long day. Had to move some new equipment that was mighty heavy. whew!

Also, a workmate and I are starting to go for walks at lunchtime for good health which is grand. Although it was
near 80 today and we came back a sweaty mess.

Pauly, too much sodium near bedtime can interrupt sleep also fyi. Back on the health wagon tomorrow then!

well, got a pot of lemongrass rice going, next... porkchops and bok choi again. Love the stuff. Still on my Filipino food kick.
I'm sure I have sukang paombang coming out of my pores. TMI.....

                  gnight loves
