I had a super busy day, watching the boys & dealing with the heat - geez! More hot weather tomorrow then supposedly we get a break.

Mick, I hope your doc visit went well.
YB saw a doc today too & will be having carpal tunnel surgery on Thursday. In a month he will get the other arm done, oh joy. He also has to go for physical therapy for 6 weeks for a shoulder problem. He's basically falling apart!

I'm doing ok. A few more clients at work found out who Chrissy was to me so more sympathy and talk. I'll be glad when they bring her home, have the funeral and maybe get back to some semblance of normal. Hope you're doing ok and the emotions level off soon. :hug:

hiya everypone...yet another eaerly start!!got to be in ST Helens for 0830..its an hour away!!my van is getting the final trim done on the inside and then its job done..ready to go away in ..got to set it all up butwhen it is finished will put some pics up..might even try a vid!!so will see you all after

Well good morning Mick. I liked the Teresa May joke. Yeah, who wants to go and settle in a quaint little place outside of Dublin and have a well paid and stimulating job? :exclaim:
I think I know what you mean PQ - when something traumatic has happened - people do ask you and you are glad they care - but at the same time, telling your story re-kindles the pain and prolongs it. Normality doesn't mean shutting stuff out - its a way of surviving. These will be hard weeks - but use the skills you have from quitting the booze - one day at a time.
Same for you too Pauly. And myself.
We had some snow today - not much and it didn't settle. But its very cold. I am sitting in bed with the laptop - best place to be on a cold night.

TT, sorry about the job, but all you need is one YES and it will happen, you will make it happen. It sounds cozy in your part of the world, fun to hear it is winter there.

Porquoi, how tough to keep having to discuss a hard subject. Yes, after the funeral it will be over and less talk about it, but nice to know people care and mean well. Just a difficult time and hard to understand why it happened.

AF and alive happy to say. Nervous as hell as I'm going into work to have a meeting with the big boss after 2 weeks missed
due to my sh*t show. So we'll see if I still have a job shortly.

I'm sorry I haven't kept up on the thread, I've been hanging on by my own thread so to speak. Just got a crap ton of bloodwork
done yesterday and working with a new doctor very closely.

will be back to my therapy group tonight for the first time in way too long.

Oh Det,I really hope they'll let you keep your job,that would be no bueno if they let you go...more crap to deal with, work was hard today,I've been so short tempered with people but I think its cuz the coworkers I dislike have been there in the morning every damn day! I like the morning shift cuz usually its only 3 of us and doesn't get so rowdy, these other two are loud,Jesus take the wheel is all I can say,I'm very proud of my mom,she's been keeping herself busy cleaning other peoples houses and working her part time job poor thing, that makes me feel a TON better PQ,you're in my thoughts TT,things will look up for you,I have a feeling, PMA(positive mental attitude) all around, love you all

Glad to see this post Det. I don't know if it's the same where you are but here if you tell your boss you're having problems with alcohol he can't fire you. If you tell him you don't have a problem with alcohol he can fire you for cause (missing work, making mistakes, etc.) When push comes to shove I always opt for the truth. I hope the group is supportive tonight, I'm sure they will be. You take care of yourself. :hug:

Oooh...a video Mick...can't wait. I'm doing good as far as the bereavement is concerned but I'm getting a little ticked off at the incompetence of the new program coordinator. Gee, I haven't bitched about my job for awhile. LOL

TT...exactly, keep taking your own advice. It's also telling the story over and over again and I do agree, it is a way of surviving. Hope things turn around for you sooner than later.

Snoop...yes I do know they care and mean well but if I hear "It was meant to be" one more time I think I'll scream. When the circumstance are reversed I tend to just say "There are no words."

Pauly...towards the end of last week I found myself feeling angry and very short with people too, which is totally not me. I give you and me permission to feel any damn way we feel like! LOL You are in my thoughts as well.

Oh no, I just realized I finished my book last night. I'll have to go through the bookcase and find an oldie as I don't really enjoy re-reading books especially if I can remember them. Hope we all have a peaceful evening....:smile:PPQP

mornig all..how zwee today then ?all good I hope..got my van finished yesterday...it looks well inside..got to fit curtains and poles after that its job done..give it a try ..mattress ,electrics and then offski..think the first place will be Cornwall ish and that will be when we get back from Tenerife..took a gorgeous pic of the rabbits yesterday...it is so nice
