PQ? People really say, "it was meant to be". I understand people not knowing what to say.....but, really? I know that you and Pauly are going through a tough time right now. Two things that seem like that they should not have happened. They certainly will take time to accept and there really is no getting over it. Although I guess time does have a way of softening the edges.

Det--really glad you still have a job. I think because it is a medical condition they have to work with you, not sure on all the details though. Hope the roommate works out. In Nashville it is really common for people to have roommates. At first it was really odd to me, I had not had a roommate since college. Now it looks like a spectacular way to cut down on the financial burden.

Anyways....working through some of my own BS and deciding what I want to do about it.

Porquoi, so sorry people said thoughtless hurtful things to you. I remember when a family member died, someone asked me about it and then said, "well they lived a long life." I was so angry and hurt, how dare they. It was meant to be? That is such BS. Hope your day goes well.

Mick, I would love to go to Cornwall, it is on my bucket list, but right now the thought of going overseas is not happening. Your back garden looks great!

Det, I admire your will to move forward and bravely face your employer, you are amazing.

Sunflower, it is always good to make decisions AF. Life always hits us with unexpected challenges, sometimes it is overwhelming.

Tried being sweet to #1 but she's so wrapped up in her narcissistic personality and lies its hard to tolerate,serious she's a female Trump,I'm over it dont care,I told Kell I'm gonna put an ear bud in an play relaxing music to block them out!PQ,I can't believe the crap people say! "He's in a better place" good God I hope so but depending on what you believe it varies ya know? I hafta believe my brothers in a beautiful place watching over the people he once loved,all his sadness and addiction is gone but I use that to keep going,I have no proof its real,another one I hate is"If you need anything dont hesitate to call"" horseshit! Good evening Abbers,

YB's surgery is 9:30 Thursday morning, have to be there at 8:30 & it takes at least an hour to get there so we'll be out early. He's going to the hospital where I used to work, I think it's going to be fine. Then he gets to do all this over again in about a month for the other arm, geez.

Evening people - lots of conversation going on here which is great. Cornwall sounds lovely Mick - I think one of my ancestors came from there. I visited Cornwall back in 1978 - quick trip.
It was horrific watching the footage of the fire in London - and now reading about how the building codes were not enforced - or slipped through. This is just appalling.
Pauly - and PQ - I have been practicing the silent treatment, as in I have been giving very little away to some people. This isn't my usual way of doing things as in the past I have been generous with my conversation and friendship - now some are lucky to get a good morning from me if I have to go into the office and there are others there. Despite my steely resolve, today was a tough one and the depression came piling on. Wanting to just hide under the blankets. Well I am under the blankets at the moment but not quite hiding.
Sounds like you have an 'armful' to look forward to Lav. What exactly is YB having done to him.
Don't blow it Det - Mick is right - you have this chance and thats great. Well done on being AF for a week. I had an urge to drink tonight - it was brief but it was there. I know I cant drink - its not just that I dont drink, I just cant. My daughter also told me today that she had a nightmare that I was secretly drinking - and it was awful. There we go. We think we are only hurting ourselves - but addiction spreads much further.

Happy Thursday friends,Mick I love the jokes TT,I really want some happiness for you,hoping you find an exciting job,close to home soon doggonit yes silence is ok but I was kinda pissed that the girls at work didn't even have a "sorry for your loss" 2 did thats about it,I'm tired of working there for reals this time,Kell wishes she'd have just stayed at Great clips where she hated but not as bad as my shop,last night her last haircut was a joke,she finished his cut and when it was time to pay he said"uh,I only have $6 but here's some gummy worms" uh hello? We don't take packages of gummy worms for payment!!! I'm sooooo over it,getting more ghetto by the day! Its always been crap that's how I was able to drink at work for years but its gotten worse,on another note I'm never taking Brady out for frozen yogurt again cuz they weigh it to charge you and of course he goes overboard, me and LB had ours weighed $7 for both,put Brady's on there his alone was over $9!! I hadn't brought my purse just a few bucks so we had to scramble for change it was embarrassing, from now on I'll sneak over with an insolated coffee mug,get my normal priced yogurt,put it in the coffee mug and sneak it in the house cuz I don't want to hurt his feelings but I also dont want to pay $9 for his yogurt went off on a tangent haha,anyhoo,much love to all and I hope we all have a great AF Thursday

still waiting for bloodwork results but staying mighty busy in the meantime. Will be working overtime Friday and then
Sat morn shooting video for a promotional video at work...that will actually be kind of fun. i'm also interviewing for a new
job next week which would put me much closer to my sober buddies in town so we'll see how that goes.

I wish the old chat room was back up. really miss that. oh well. lifering.com does have a dedicated chatroom for anyone interested.

MAE ALL...busy but satisfying day here.

Mick...30 degrees. Yikes! Sometimes it gets that hot here but not often. I'd never be able to live in Vegas! I'm sure the rabbit hutch repairs are all completed.

TT...sorry to hear about the depression, hope it's on it's way out. I'm starting to give very little to the program coordinator. I'm tired of doing her work for her. It's time she stepped up or fell flat on her face. Enough is enough.

Pauly...Gummy Bears FFS! I don't know how people can do that. If I don't have the money I don't get my hair cut. Sounds like it's time for a job change.

Glad thihs long day is OVER but it all went well
YB's carpal tunnel surgery went well even though it was delayed for two hours for some unknown reason. We did get to our granddaughter's graduation, very cute to see 6 year olds in caps & gowns. I drove nearly 200 miles today & am tired but happy.

Mick, it's getting hot & humid here again, ugh. If it gets too bad I just find things to do inside in the AC. I am a wimp in the heat anymore. Wish I could help you with those curtains.

TT, sorry today wasn't fabulous for you. Things are going to get better, keep believing!
