      Good evening friends,

Glad to see you Pauly, how are you?

Nothing exciting going on here. I started on a Prednisone pack yesterday for this awful contact dermatitis. Can't wait for it to kick in & get the job done, ugh.
Spending all of my time caring for animals around here & changing YB's hand dressings. Not exactly summer fun but what can you do?

      Wishing everyone a good night!

        Just me again, checking in
I am watching the Insanity Twins for a few days in addition to all the other creatures around here. Tomorrow we are supposed to get some big storm so I guess we'll all be stuck inside together, swell.

        Hello to Star.
        Hello to Cyn.
        Hello to Pauly.

        Be well everyone!

            Re: July Jubilee

            Good morning...

Back from our trip yesterday, good to be home. We had a great trip, met tons of people, saw lots of historical sites and stayed busy all day into the evenings. It was fun.

Lav, sorry you have to take steroids, but sometimes rashes get out of control. I had a rash before we left, thought it was poison ivy, but it was something else, not sure what. It went away with OTC cream, I was just lucky this time. Are we the only ones left on this thread? I know Cyn is gone for three weeks, and Pauly is not a part of this thread or MWO now? Not sure what is going on.

Busy today with house work and catch up. Exercise first though. Have a good one.

              Hi Star,

Our thread has gotten pretty skinny but I want to keep it going if we can.
Glad you had a good trip, sounds like a lot of fun!
I know you already saw my FB post about Maxie. We have done our best to keep her comfortable but last night she just crossed the line. She was in some sort of panic mode all night long, it was awful. She may have had a stroke or some neurological event. She absolutely could not stand or eat or take her meds this morning. We called the vet to the house to have her put down, There was nothing else we could do
I have my sons dogs here & my other smaller dog so I at least have some animal company tonight.

Hello to Cyn. Hope everything is going well.

              Pauly, .........

              Have a good night everyone.

                Re: July Jubilee

Lav, I am so sorry for your loss. You were so good to Maxie, you knew when it was time. It is so hard. Glad you had the other dogs there.

I would like to keep this thread going too, we'll have to see what happens. I will post daily as I always do unless I go out of town. That isn't too often. I had a busy day yesterday with laundry, grocery shopping and driving to see my grandsons. They were wonderful as always, and a swing set was finally installed and the older guy was busy busy.

                Have a good one.

                  Re: July Jubilee

Thanks Star & glad to see you

Adjusting to life without big Maxie & still a little tearful.
Looks like I have my son's dogs here until Tuesday night or Wednesday. My DIL has been out of town - again. My grandsons are with their other grandparents at the beach. I still have no idea what is going on with them. I just need to lay low for now because I don't think I can't handle any more sh*t, if you know what I mean. I am happy to watch the dogs or the boys to help my son out. He'll be at work at least 32 hours, likely longer (combination of 24 hr shift & mandatory class time afterwards).
YB has to go see the hand surgeon tomorrow for a follow up check. We are going to visit daughter & family afterwards since they live close to the hospital. That should be nice.

Hope you are OK Cyn & Pauly too.

I'll be back tomorrow night for a check-in.
                  Peace

                    Re: July Jubilee

                    Good morning...

Monday and back to my routine. Nothing new to report. Will go to the book club tonight, I have to check to see what time it is.

Lav, again, so sorry for your loss. Nice of you to babysit the other doggies. Good to hear you are taking care of yourself, it is the only thing to do. Re: DIL, the silent treatment is so horrible. You can't move forward if one party refuses to talk.

Hope your day goes well. Shoutout to Cyn and Pauly.

                      Re: July Jubilee

                      Good evening friend(s)

Star, I am so tired I don't really know what day it is, geez. I think my body needs a year off from stressful stuff, honestly.
I am amazed at the amount of free time I suddenly have - taking care of Maxie was using up a ton of my time & energy. Even though I don't want to open up any more stress boxes I would love to be able to sit & have a conversation with my DIL. I think there is a whole lot more going on with her than we initially thought. My son suddenly seems a little more light-hearted & not as tired looking as he had been which is good. I'm just worried about the boys still.
YB had to see the hand surgeon today & then we went to our daughter's house & out to dinner together. That was nice, refreshing
I hope you enjoy your book club tonight.
The nice weather is over, the heat has returned, phew!

Hello to Cyn & Pauly. Chek in when you can friends!

                      Peace to all tonight!

                        Re: July Jubilee

Lav, yes I bet you do have more time on your hands, and also with your exercise place gone, maybe too much time? I try to keep busy and interacting with others, still trying to find a good friend. With not working outside the house it is important to have things to do so I don't become isolated. On the other hand it is nice to have it peaceful. We are both in times of transition, with choices to make. ll don't want to look for another job, but don't want to become irrelevant with not enough to do. It is easier in the summer to keep busy, but once winter comes I will be more isolated. I just don't know what to do. There are probably volunteer opportunities for me too, if I look into it.

I wish you could talk to your DIL, do you think she is getting in a better place? I wonder if she can have good relationships with both sets of parents at the same time, some people can't. What do you think is going on with your grandsons? Good you were able to spend time with your daughter and family.

What do you think is going on with MWO? Not many new people ever, old ones leaving or as they get better showing up less and less.

                        Have a great AF day.
