PPQ, hope you don't have asthma with all the smoke rolling in. It's fire season here and
brush fires are raging here and there. so far no bad smoke but it's likely.

have my 2nd and last IV ketamine treatment set for this Sat afternoon so mentally preparing myself.
At least I have a much better idea of what to expect.

Mick...I wouldn't worry about changing anything, we're well past that now. LOL When you finally get everything setup with the van a pic would be great. There was a frost warning for the low lying areas of Calgary this morning. WTH...it's July! Actually felt like a fall day out there but warmed up considerably this afternoon. I aced my checkup for my endoscopy today. All nodes found were benign and no further follow up needed. Eye scan next week in preparation for the cataract surgery in October. Then I'm done with Dr's appointments.

Det...no asthma or allergies so I'm managing fine. Actually there was hardly any smoke today but can change depending on the wind. I'll be glad when you're done with the ketamine treatment. Hope therapy is good tonight.

TT...sorry things a hard right now but glad you posted. Hang in there and let us help if we can. :hug:

Pauly...come on back. You'll get this figured out. You've been through a lot but you have a lot to look forward to.

93 year old MIL is complaining about abdominal pain and no appetite for 3 days. She's had a prior heart attack which she ignored. She won't go see a doctor but will call an ambulance to take her to emergency. I couldn't talk her into going to emergency now so will be checking in with her later tonight. Hopefully I won't be spending this evening at a hospital. Regardless have a feeling it's going to be a long night. Hope everyone else has a peaceful evening....:smile:PPQP

I had to drop off a urine specimen at the vet office for my old dog today, they charged $69!!!! I told them that would be the last specimen - geez. I am slowly going broke here trying to keep the old girl comfy in her final years

Mick--how anyone cannot love SK is beyond me. Someone once asked him if he thought being an alcoholic gave him the ability to write those first books. He flatly said "No" and followed up with his regret was that they could have been so much better. I'm a weird reader and like fiction that has nuances with words. It is really hard to find.

Pauly--my co-worker just posted that she doesn't drink because once she starts she can't stop. I know that all to well. I look at sobriety like putting marbles in a giant jar. Every time I don't drink when I think it might be a good idea, a marble in the jar. It's easy to not drink when you don't feel like it. I know how in almost an instant all that strength can get wiped out and you drink. It truly is not drinking when you want to that sobriety is built upon until you have a jar full of marbles.

TT--I really do understand your situation. For me it was almost paralyzing at times. I could not come up with work ideas to save my life. I thought work was only in the field I was in. I've just seen what you are going through happen to too many people. Things had to change, I had to change and it was really hard to do.

Vacation is going well. I forgot what real humidity was like. They keep saying it's going to get worse..how can it possibility get worse? Guess I get to see tomorrow.

well, we have so many fires around here that the air is hot, heavy and smokey. A bit hard to breath and eyes are burning

Everything went well today, YB is resting comfortably after his hand surgery this morning. That's both hands done now so I hope that's it with the surgeries for a while.

slowly on the mend. Going to be another broiler today. We need rain badly. Same old same, either too much water works or not enough.
had to play and sing last night at an outdoor event. Did my frog imitation, but this morning soreness is pretty much gone! maybe exercising the vocals helped? nah......
