      Heya ABby peeps!

Pauly, lets have a better day for sure

just a quick heyo all around as I get ready to zip off to work. Pretty mellow here and thankfully it's
payday so paying bills will be todays great excitement. oh boy!

Lav, I used to have a Lab/rotty and it was short pokey hair all over the darn place... never ending fun eh?

Snoopy, you out jumped yourself! yep, gotta ease back into exercise that's for sure. Sore myself from a great
      martial arts morning Sun.

Dunno if I can afford counselling tonight, will have to count my beans. At any rate I'm determined to have a
good AF day and be grateful.

        Re: Anchored August

        Good evening friends,

Such a damp day here, geez. I did get a neat picture of mist rising from the grass after dinner when the sun started to come out a bit. Of course it wasn't a Det quality pic, just an iPhone pic. I always seem to see something interesting when stepping out of the chicken house, funny.

Star, rest your foot.....remember my stress fracture three years ago? They take forever to heal
Have fun with the paint, do something funky!!! Hope your day with your grandson was fun.
I make the FoK recipe for 'No Tuna Salad'. Instead of Veganaise you use a tahini dressing - really good too. I make that salad in big batches, yummy.

Pauly, chickens are known for being dumb but they have very big personalities & individual traits that make they interesting & entertaining too. I have pictures of some of mine just hanging out on the roof of the chicken house, ha ha.
I really hope Kell takes care of herself & the kids first. If the boyfriend is going to be a loser there's not much you can do. Just so she is safe & the kids too.

Det, I am down to one dog now since our big dog passed a few weeks ago & it's strange. Having my son's dogs here for a few days was nice but oh so hairy, ha ha. My remaining dog is part beagle & part southern coon hound (or something) & she has that short hair, sheds but not too much.
I am glad you are getting squared away with finances. I have a feeling you can find something therapeutic to tune into on the internet or TV until some extra cash is available, right? You have been doing a great job

        Have a nice night all.

        Lav

            Good morning...

Busy day yesterday. I cannot believe 45 is rallying for Nazis now, but really, I am not surprised. He is such an a##hole, loves the KKK, racism, we have to get him out, he is a disgrace. He is unhinged, unstable, not qualified to be president. Period. We are in big trouble as a country. I would not want 45 as the head of my HOA, let alone my country. Not my president.

Lav, beautiful pic, thanks for sharing. I used a little veganaise, is there something wrong with it? Or just cause it is processed? I have some gorgeous tomatoes today and will make a avocado, tomato, onion salad and veggies and hummus too along with corn on the cob. Lots of veggies and easy to love.

Pauly, so sorry you had a rough day, hope today is better. To see your daughter disrespected would be so hard, I would do what you are doing, be supportive and not focus on it as you have no control over her decisions. Also, enjoy your grandson and all to come as much as possible. My grandson was a sweet little love yesterday, he is still sleeping now, swimming, park and hot tub wore him out.

Det, paying bills is a good thing, being AF is even better, so great you are getting stronger in your recovery every day. I wish they had a sliding scale fee for your group therapy, I know you benefit from going.

Have a great day all. AF of course.

Morning friends,Star I feel the same,,not my president and I refuse to call him that! Never have, never will I asked hubs seriously last night how we got stuck with this guy,for real what were people thinking? My mom text me last night all upset thinking we're going to war with NK,she's got enough to cope with ATM doesn't need that stress, none of us do,he wants a war to get the microscope off him cuz I'm sure if they kept digging they'd find even more serious shit than what we've heard, sorry too get so political and feisty this morning but I'm disgusted right now,I gave Kell half my Tuesday so she could make some xtra $ she brought Lou to the shop so he could ride home with me,he's getting to that age where he says funny stuff and some of it is so beyond what I think a 4 year olds mind knows, think he's got Kells smarts, she was always honors in school, Lav I remember the stress fracture just from the dog laying on your foot right? Dang 3 years ago? Seems like a few months only, time just flies, can you check on Cyn to see if everything is ok? Wishing us all a happy AF Wednesday

                Happy humpday AB friends!

actually got some great sleep, yay. Allergies were getting me but they've eased so I'm mucho thankful.

Lav, I didn't see the pic? you can get great shots with a cell phone if the lighting is decent. Go for it!

Made a huge pot of yummy mixed-bean/cabbage/sausage/kitchen sink soup last night so that's on the menu for
                at least a couple days.

Even though I don't like and didn't vote for our current puppet, I see the futility in giving him the credit for our
terrible socio-political polarization that is flaring up again. The voting population here are adults ostensibly
and need to be responsible for their own actions. I'm sure there are thousands of selfless acts of kindness between
left/right citizens every day but our media wouldn't make $ reporting such truly great things. I'm off to commit random
acts of kindness today. Join in!

Morning friends! The AWOL treegirl is back. SO sorry to be away sooooo long, but as I remembered from other years, it was a race from before I left until arrival home late last night. I am having a sit-down breakfast and actually a cup of coffee for the first time in more than three weeks -- hallelujah!

How is everyone? I have been thinking of everyone's journey and hoping all is well. I have a lot of catching up to do, so I'll be reading back now and will post again later...

Wishing all a good day --

                        Re: Anchored August

Hello again - thanks for the early welcome, Det and Pauly! Sounds like you both are doing well at staying in the moment, congrats.

I feel so bad that I missed so much time here - you were all so kind to keep saying hi to me, and - believe me - I was thinking about our group each and every day. Working for an understaffed arts non-profit is rewarding, but exhausting.

Pauly, so glad you are here each day. Det, how nice to read your posts, welcome. Star, so sorry to hear about your son's trauma - I hope he is doing OK; you were so good to work at his apartment and get him moving on. Lav, I'm so sorry that I wasn't around when Maxie passed -- you know I share your grief. So glad that you had some great granddaughter time and found a pretty place in nature.

I had some health struggles while away, and got hijacked by some well-meaning friends which ended up in me driving to San Francisco 2 times. That for sure soaked up any available time that I might have had off, and then my family came to visit the last weekend of the festival, wonderful but super hard to negotiate all the responsibilities. Also hard on HB, who has ended up with a terrible cold and cough - 3 plane rides yesterday didn't help. But he has been gone for almost 6 weeks, so he is ecstatic to be home, and will heal here quickly, I'm sure.

Sending love to all here, and thanks for being here as I return to 'real' life! Cheers for an AF day ---

                          Re: Anchored August

                          Good evening friends,

CYN, great to see you back, you have been missed!
I was worried about you overdoing things & getting sick while away. I hope you can get some decent rest now.
I am still adjusting to this major change in our house since Maxie passed, really miss her a lot.
I followed that up with donating most of my chicken flock to our Amish friend. I was badly in need of a break. I kept 3 girls from that flock & still have my 6 young ones so a flock of 9 for now is nice. Happy to have you back.

Star, absolutely noting wrong with the Vegenaise except for the YB moaning about it, geez. I have learned to use lots of tahini, cultured coconut milk & stuff like that to make dressings. I had a delicious 'No Tuna Salad' sandwich along with a cup of vegan noodle soup for dinner, ha ha!
Sounds like you had an awesome day with your little guy!

Pauly, kids have better listening & comprehension skills than they get credit for, no kidding. I often turn off news shows & stuff when the kids come over because I know they pick up on stuff. All 3 of the grandkids knew that Trump wasn't well liked before the election......they picked up on that without any prompting.

Det, soup is my all time favorite food, always has been. It's always best after sitting in the fridge for a day or two
My allergies are kicking my butt again - fall stuff already I think, yuck. I'll fix them with loads of soup.

I am trying to get a conversation started with my younger brother who lives in CA He's texting me now so I'll go answer.
                          Have a nice night everyone!

                          Lav

Cyn, glad to have you back, don't know how you do all you do! I am sure it is heaven to be home.

Pauly, more upsetting political news, I am sick of it and 45 too.

Det, don't agree that Nazi's are OK and never will, everyone has to speak up or evil will triumph. Your soup/stew sounds lovely, enjoy.

Lav, what a great little dinner, always feel better eating WFPB for sure.

                            Have a good one.

Morning friends,Lav its funny cuz Louie still thinks Ronald McDonald is Trump! I think he just hears the "Donald" part and jumped to that Kells bf dropped him off yesterday and said "besides they say I have MILD fatty liver,so it ain't that bad" I didn't tell him it'll only get worse if he keeps up with his drinking, fried foods and no water consumption, this guy only drinks soda or Gatorade never water, meh,Star I often wonder how many people around us on a daily basis are in the "white pride" movement, probably some of the nicest people we meet but like you I have no tolerance! I ate a whole zucchini and bag of broccoli with some chicken for lunch yesterday, not fully plant based but better than my French bread pizza lunch haha! Pauly, I like your lunch and glad you're eating better. Sugar is a huge contributor to fatty liver that so many
                                aren't aware of.
