    w/c 22nd

hiya folks...hope all is well with everyone..the weather over here is horrendous ...we are now in the middle of storm Brian!Maria just finished and now this.We never got to the show in Birmingham..long story, but basically Julies dad is in the acute stroke unit in Manchester hospital.he is being transferred to a nearer one today ,but they are going to do another mri scan. For some reason Julie wasnt shown as nok,so on Friday Julie got a phone call from one of his neighbours to say that she had heard he had been taken into hospital..then followed a frantic couple of hours trying to trace which hospital..No one would answer the phones in the various hozzies ..in the end I got pissed off and phoned 999 got the cops and reported him as a missing person ..with the details we had ...2 mins later they phoned us back with location..So its just wait and see time now..You couldnt honestly make this up

Wow, what an ordeal. Good idea phoning 999. Fingers crossed Julies dad is going to be ok. Are you out detecting or staying close to Julie today.

    MAE ALL...

Not sure what my plans are for today except remembering to put the drops in my eyes. Will check back later, gotta get the coffee brewing for us all....:smile:PPQP

          Good evening Abbers,

Geez Mick, sorry to hear about Julie's Dad
It seems he's had something going on for quite a while now - maybe he was having TIAs (mini strokes) before this event. Sorry about all the hassle in locating him, geez.
You sure are getting your fair share of wild weather over there, sorry.

PQ, hope the eye drop regimen is going OK. Your surgery is Tuesday? Keeping my fingers crossed for an easy procedure for you!

          Hello to Pauly & SK.
          Det, where are ya buddy?

Had a fun & interesting vegan dinner today - lentil 'meatballs' in a creamy cashew gravy - awesome!!! I got to make some smashed red potatoes that YB grew. Who knew an ex cop could grow nice potatoes? Ha ha!!!
          Have a nice night everyone!

Evening all...I have a ghost on my balcony. Keeps moving the furniture around! I'll be glad when these wind warnings are done.

Mick...never heard of a scattergram before. Hope the MRI has good results.

Pauly...hope you had a good day.

Lav...Think I've got all my drops sorted out. Have to wait 5 minutes in between each one of them so it feels like I just get them all finished when I have to start again. LOL Surgery on Tuesday, follow up on Wednesday and I may just take the rest of the week off for the hell of it.

Det...thinking of you and hoping everything is ok.

Tacos tonight, making a double batch so you're all welcome to join me....:smile:PPQP

                              MAE ALL...

Lav...Was supposed to have the surgery done by one of the Dr's students but he decided to do it himself. Just as well as it turned out to be, as he put it, "a bitch of a cataract" but the surgery went great. He is expecting a mega flare up of iritis after this so for good measures injected a couple of doses of steroids while he was at it. Gotta say I'm glad the left eye is cataract free. Post op visit tomorrow but for now it's chow time!!!

Det...had a feeling something was up when we didn't hear from you for awhile. Glad it didn't turn into a huge binge, I don't know if your body can handle it. You take it easy, get some food in you, dust yourself off and start again. Never quit quitting.

Pauly...has it been awhile since we've heard from you? Hope all is well.

Snoop...hello to you too. Seems like I've been dealing with this eye forever.

Family Doc wants to see me as a result of some of my tests. Says it's nothing serious but wants to talk about the bone density exam. I was actually a little shocked as I've lost 4 inches in height! Shout out to everyone else and hope all is good....:smile:PPQP
