I went into my local Chinese takeaway last night and got talking to the owner.

'What you do for a riving, then?', he said.

'What do I do for a living, you mean?'

'Yes..'

'I'm a comedian', I replied.

'Go on then, change colour', he chuckled.

Just then in the kitchen, I noticed his wok was on fire with my meal in it.

Mae everybody,Mick glad you're ok and the dentist visit went well Det,glad the smart meeting was good,I had thought you were getting out with sober friends? Stomach crap was just a one day thing,I had left some coffee out overnight and just topped it off with more that morning and I think thats what made me sick,Kell's being induced Sunday at 2 am so she should have the babe sometime on Monday,I'm nervous eeks! whew! survived another hike and ended up doing some work on the heavy bag too. Legs and hips are sore in a good way.

Mick...I totally missed the second half of your first post. Glad it was a techie glitch and not user error, you've had enough errors to last you for 2018. Was still another cold one today, went in early to make sure the car would start and dang it did. Temps supposed to rise to +45F overnight. Guess I didn't have to plug the car in LOL, just habit. Looking forward to the weekend and just relaxing, can't believe I've only been back to work for a week, felt like a month!

Pauly...I don't think I'd have the nerve to drink left over coffee and you just confirmed it! Not to burst your bubble but when I was induced with my first, nothing happened. Ended up going home 24 hrs later and it wasn't for another week before the event. I'm sure that won't be the case with Kell, we'll be looking for updates on Sunday.

Det...you got to love those meet ups. What a concept. There's all kinds here too, you'll do fine. Glad the SMART group is working for you and bugger the 40 minute drive, what else are you going to do? My brother went to SMART recovery but he was no where near ready to admit he had a problem and was doing it for his wife. It sounds like you've got a good counselor. I'm glad to hear you're getting out with friends and doing something, keep it up.

Mick, as it turned out I was able to see the entire funeral service on my iPad today. One of the Philly TV stations decided to live stream it, I'm glad too. As sad as it was it was good to see the entire cathedral packed with friends, family & members of FDs from all over. Yes, the firefighter was brought to the church on his ladder truck & then taken to the cemetery the same way. The city announced today that they are raising him to Captain status (as he was on the list for promotion).
This was a very humbling experience, believe me.

Pauly, think positively for Kell & your soon to be new grandbaby! Think happy thoughts

I did get the boys to school on time, driving in the pouring rain this morning. They are now on the way to their other grandparents for a weekend visit. My son stopped by & picked up the puppy so he could go with them - thank goodness. I'm keeping the Insanity Twins (goldens) until Sunday evening. Now that they are reaching senior citizen age they're not quite as hard to manage. They know the ropes around here & knows who feeds them, ha ha!!

The weather is supposed to change drastically overnight, I hear talk of dropping temps, snow & ice on the way, swell. I guess I'll just stick around here 7 figure out something to cook in the instant pot.
Btw Mick - it would be a lot cheaper for me to buy one & ship it to you I think. I have no idea why they are so expensive over on your side of the pond, crazy.

Had a really nice dinner with the 'sobercats' crew and glad I went. Met a fellow
photographer that is really darn good with nature/animal pics so we'll be doing
some photo safaris together. too cool.
