sober Oscars party this afternoon. I better leave plenty early.

preview of what I'm putting into my Greek 'tater salad:

crapload of garlic
oregano
capers
Greek Kalamata olives
lemon zest
olive oil and mayo 50/50
salt and pepper
finely minced red onion

sounds good so far...

I ordered the Lifering study book on empowering the sober self. Book report after I get at least a ways through it. There are F2F lifering meetings
in Vegas which I intend to attend so I need to study up on the program which is not 12 steps.

2nd cuppa joe is on my this morn.

Good evening Abbers,

We went our for my granddaughter’s birthday dinner tonight, it was fun

Many thousands of people in the three county area are still without power after Friday’s storm, sad. Plus we apparently have another storm brewing that’s supposed to dump 6-10” of snow on us Tuesday night into Wednesday, very sad!!!!

Mick sent me a very cool video tonight but I can’t quite figure out how to post it here. I think he’s enjoying himself, no worries about him, Lol

Tater salad was a hit happy to say. Give it a go. I don't measure any ingredients so I just do everything according to taste.
We had a lovely time and didn't even think about booze. Perfecto.

Lav, that sounds like some dangerous winter conditions, especially for the folks without power...owch.
Bout the only way I know of to share a video online is to upload it to Google 'photos'. and then get a shareable link.
Glad to hear Mick is having a blast

learning lots about trailer electrical/solar systems as well as external antennas etc to boost cell and wifi when you're on the road.
So much to learn but it's pretty fun too.

Lav...I was wondering if you'd get hit by this next storm. This has been quite the winter. We got about 2 feet but they have a parking ban on many of the main streets so the plows were out and driving is better.

Well they've just adjusted the expected snowfall for Wednesday - it's now 8-16" WTF?
I am so over winter but apparently it 's not over yet.

Det, I'm just going to let Mick post his own videos once he returns from his trip. I think he's going to need a very long nap after all that traveling, ha ha!Glad to hear your tater salad was a hit. I also like Italian style potato salad with green beans & a little olive oil & vinegar, yum

Top o the very early morn ABeroooos!

3:30am and I'm up for action. Not sure why but here I am.

the only other thing I added to the tater salad was several tablespoons of the brine from the Kalamata olives...yummy vinegar basically.
Lav, I also like the italian version. Anything Italian or Greek and I'm game! Maybe I'll have to invent an Indian tater salad next...hmmm...

16" of snow potentially in Lav land? jeepers. You'll be looking like PPQ's neighborhood soon.

Meditation was excellent last night. There is another thing in town called 'refuge recovery' that is Buddhist based that I'll be going to this
Friday night.

Me too but I always am you sound great my friend PQ,love rotisserie chicken,always a great,we had bacon,macaroni and tomato sauce,it sounds weird but actually really good we call it "ghetto spaghetti" haha,I'm so happy the clocks change this coming up weekend,at least my early morning awakenings will seem more normal haha! Hi folks. See you are into the potato salad. I made it recently and it also went down well. As long as it's not too gluey.
We have had a good harvest of pears this year from an old tree in our garden. I made a pear sponge pudding and I think the daughter plans to preserve some pears or something like that.
Its official - our hottest summer on record in NZ. Although starting to cool down a bit now.
