    Re: April Acceptance

    Hello all.

Yes, the medication is helping a little bit. Went to gastro doc today and waited in there for over an hour. When doc came in, not a murmur of an apology, so I told her I was about to leave and I was angry.

I'm in a bit of a bad mood after all that.

Still haven't knowingly eaten sugar. My answer to sugar cravings are medjool dates. My clothes are fitting me better and when I got on dr's scale today I was a little surprised to see there was no change in weight so, I guess I was heavier than I thought (eek!)

Lav, how nice your son brought the kids over, I like your giving no birthday child a little gift, so sweet. Lav, I already have a spacer implant and I want that again. I think the injections are a temporary fix, we'll see.

Oh dear, the spineless one is retiring. Bu bye. I can't imagine his democrat wife is glad to have him at home.

Star, your postings are really enjoyable and I'm glad to be on this journey with you.

      Re: April Acceptance

      Good evening friends,

We had a sunny but chilly day here, grateful it didn't snow, ha ha!
I spent way too much time tossing around last night, not even sure why. So I am dragging today, oh well. Hopefully I'll make up for it tonight.
The news out of DC is just ridiculous. Is this the week the sh*t hits the fan??? We can only hope!!!

Star, glad you had a good grandson day.
Keep working your plan, it's solid & apparently working quite well for you
The baby pillow gift recipient was very happy & posted a picture of it on her FB page today. That makes me happy

Pauly. I broke down & bought Claritin for my allergies last week. I realize this week that I am feeling more & more like a goofball everyday & still have a runny nose, ha ha! I don't know why I keep trying that stuff, it never did work for me. I think plain old saline mist in the nose relieves congestion better than anything. I'll give the Claritin to my daughter, it doesn't bother her.

Cyn, it's not good to have too many jobs. We really are not superwoman although we sure do try.
Your weekend away sounds like the right Rx for you right now - enjoy & relax.

SK, sorry you were kept waiting again today, that's so rude. I always speak up about that too.
I agree about the spinal injections, they are temporary & you can only get so many. The same goes with YB & his wrist injections.
Take it easy until a plan is put together

I keep getting the feeling that the GOP is imploding on itself. How stupid & greedy can these people be? I'm tired of hearing their selfish threats.
On that note I'll wish everyone a peaceful night!

        Re: April Acceptance

        Good morning...

Sunny warm day to look forward to and enjoy, in the50s already, high 75. I am meeting a friend for lunch outside at noon, really looking forward to that. Yesterday we were able to go to the little park in our neighborhood, and the little one loved the baby swing, it was alot of fun. Took a walk last night, it was lovely. Today, cleaning in the am, then lunch, then I have to grocery shop, go to my son's and get his mail, then a meeting tonight at 7, so I am busy enough. Very grateful to be AF.

Pauly, hope you are feeling better with those allergies, have a great day.

Lav, that warmer weather better come your way. I picked some daffodils from my back yard and they are so cheerful and bright, I love them. What the heck is going on in Washington? 45 is a nut case and a criminal, something needs to be done, he is destroying our country little by little, it will get worse if he stays. He is so unhinged he keeps firing gov't employees, and nothing can get done, no one can master the jobs they are supposed to do.....

Cyn, do you have to work so many hours? Maybe you do, but if you don't, consider part-time and seeing how that goes. Just worried about you being exhausted so often, I remember feeling tired when i worked full time also. After being gone 10 hours a day, there was no energy left to even cook dinner much. I wish it was easier to get balance.

Skendall, you only waited an hour? Ha, I am being sarcastic. I always take a good book when I have to get medical care as I know waiting is part of it. Hope the rest of your day went better.

Off to get more coffee. Have a terrific AF Thursday.

          Morning all -

Quick post, as I am getting ready to be on a 12:30 train to NYC...

SK, good for you on no sugar! Keep at it, the dividends are great for your overall health, good luck with your balancing act on your health decisions. Give Peggy a pat for me.

Lav, the situation in DC is just jaw-dropping... If someone dreamt this up and made a movie about it all, no one would believe it! Ryan's announcement makes me think of the old joke about G W's Bush's wife who " wanted to leave the White House so that she could spend less time with her family" lol.

Pauly, what's doing? Sorry you were tired yesterday... how is your sleep, any better?

Star, I definitely must make some decisions. I am not ready to let my original business go, and have given my word to do this other "part time" job, I won't leave them in the lurch. So, it will all get figured out. Just hard now because of a big move I am facilitating the end of April - I think it will ease up. And my attitude can always change" )

Wishing all a wonderful day - ciao for now...

              Re: April Acceptance

              Greetings friends,

Sunny & super windy today but getting warmer too!
Tomorrow & Saturday are supposed to be 'shorts' weather, ha ha!

Star, sounds like yo had a good day lined up, hope it all went well.
I'm already missing the baby swing days.....they go SO fast!

Cyn, I hope you made your train on time
We collectively worry about you working yourself into a illness or something (don't mean to be negative).
I am at the point where I am deliberately stopping some of the crazy, nonessential stuff I used to do. I guess that's what this age is doing for me
We just want you to be happy & healthy.

Pauly, I think I mentioned that I emailed the company that makes Relizen with a request for the list of active ingredients. I got a reply yesterday from phD in Monaco of all places!!!
She told me the pollens are collected from two different plant families - Poaceae & Pinaceae. Essentially they are grass type plants (wheat, millet & others) & pine trees or shrubs like cedars, firs, hemlocks & spruces. That was all of the information she was willing to share. I really don't care at this point, just so we get some relief. I'm glad to hear you are getting some relief, I wish I was getting more. I still think I have to watch what I'm eating & make sure I stay away from sugar & white flour products.

SK, I've been thinking about your situation. I heard a commercial when I was in the care today for home health companions & naturally thought of you. Someone (an aide not a nurse) to come in & lend a hand where needed - showering, dressing, food shopping, light housework, etc. Just be sure to get the doc to write an order for it & the social worker in the hospital can get you set up for visits & insurance will pay as long as you have the written order. You would be the perfect candidate for these services. I hope you had an OK day today!

              Have a nice night everyone!

Morning friends,Star we made the mistake of sleeping with the windows open last night and the temps dropped,it was cold! I need to go blanket shopping cuz mine is getting shredded its flannel and you know how flannel gets so cozy and soft it just starts tearing? Its like that and now it's split,Cyn,hope your day is good,Lav,when I read reviews of Relizen they said even the people who make it aren't sure its exactly way of working, just that it does, who knows its not hurting SK,hope you have some pain relief today, wishes for a great AF Friday!

                      Hello,

Lav, thanks for your recommendation. There is an agency close to where I take Peggy for nail cutting, so I'll try there.

The wind we experienced yesterday andT-storms again was a weather movement spanning most of the US.

We are expecting 87 today, very humid.

This fat squirrel thief looks about to burst.

I forgot to mention that Pauly and Lav have found some relief with sleeping. Fatigue from sleeplessness sucks.

I gave Peggy a Calm's Forte. She didn't sleep but did have a silly smile.

I had a pretty productive day clearing out cardboard boxes from Christmas. Caught up on phone calls, etc.

                        Under tornado watch again.

                          Good evening friends,

Hope everyone has had a good Friday the 13th

Nice day all around today, another coming tomorrow. Sunday we go back to winter, ugh!
We took the truck & trailer on a ride today to a place in Maryland to buy compost. It's run by a couple of veterans wanting to do something good for the environment & work outside. They make all the compost there & get truckloads of veggies & fruit rejects from the supermarkets delivered all week. It's recycling at it's finest
I made a big bowl of pasta salad with the chickpea pasta that I love & it's agrees with me. Had a big scoop of that on some fresh greens, yum.

Star, I hope you did something fun on this beautiful day!

Pauly, I just may contact the Relizen company again & ask about increasing the dosage. What I really need to do is to pay attention to what I am eating - every single thing I put in my mouth, ha ha. When the boys were here the other day & asked for cookies or chocolate I treated myself too. I just have to stop doing that!!!
Don't buy a too heavy blanket, summer is on the way!

SK, I heard about the tornado warnings in your area, stay safe!
Maybe Peggy could handle a double dose of Calms Forte? Poor little thing.
Speaking of leftover things from Christmas we still have a table full of lighted santas in our family room. YB put them there so I think he should put them away, ha ha!!

Cyn, hope you are having a good day!

                          Have a nice night everyone.
45 just finished speaking about the Syria crisis on TV. Now I may never sleep tonight.

Lav, just enjoyed the day, did a little gardening and feel pain today, darn it. Went for a walk in the neighborhood last night, it was beautiful. Today, rain already, still warm, but not for long. Then warmer later in the week at least, 50s. Nothing much planned this weekend.

Pauly, blanket shopping? Lots of sales I am sure. Hope that warm weather arrives soon.

Skendall, sounds like you are doing well.

                            Hello to Cyn.

Pauly, hadn't thought of melatonin for Peggy. How nice that you and Louie could spend alone time together.

                                Cyn, self-care comes first.

Star, you seem happy and busy.

Lav, I miss those 2 to 6 yr. old times.

No tornadoes last night but temps plunged to 37. I don't remember TX ever having these low temps in April and it was 87 on Thursday. My pain today curtailed my activities, but I did manage to take Peggy to the park for a little while and get her nails trimmed. The squirrel didn't show up today so I think it joined Weight Watchers, plus I didn't refill the feeder and yesterday and last I saw of it, it was chattering and shaking the tail of it's fat body.

Someone called 45 a dingleberry this week, how appropriate. I think he's bats**t crazy.
