      MAE ALL...

Mick...the peskies are looking really good. One good thing about our weather is we usually have lots of sunshine. Somehow dealing with these below normal temps is easier with the sun. With the spring positioning of the sun even though it's 1F there is still some melting going on. Snowshoes made me think that by the 24th we might needs cleats as hopefully the snow will be gone but it could be solid ice. Looking forward to the train progress pics.

Lav...your muck shoes reminded me of spring at the ranch. Would still have to go out and feed the livestock and slogging through the mud could get really tricky. Oat cream is a new one for me too.

Not a peep from the neighbours last night, hope that means one of them moved out! Was able to get a decent night's sleep, boy did I need it. Hope we all have a great day....:smile:PPQP

        Greetings Mick & PQ,

Where is everyone? I hope they are all OK.

Mick, were you inside the rabbit hutch when you took that picture? Ha ha, they look great!
Glad you have some time to work on your trains. That's a healthy way to spend a rainy day

Just so you know - oat cream is new to me too but I can use it for anything that calls for cream. My dairy free lifestyle is not always easy but there's always a way if you search.

PQ, I love my muck shoes - just leave them in the garage, nothing to clean up, LOL
Nice your neighbors are quiet, hope they didn't murder each other.......that wouldn't be nice

Very windy here today, surprised we still have power. My daughter texted me a few hours ago, their power is out, oh well.

        Have a decent night everyone!

hiya Lav,and pq,...how are you both ..looks like we have got our own little circle here ..ok a very wee circle ...This weather is crazy ..it snowed here last night ,then rained ..and this morning there is a covering of frost ....and the sun is out..ok lets have a brew ..

Lav you arent so far out about in the hutch woth that pic ...it was on a selfie stick..Juliecant eat too much dairy ie cheese yogurt milk ice cream it creases her stomach...but strangely enough milk chocolate doesn't!!!
as for muck shoes ..yes I have a designated pair ...but I seldom use them ...I tend to go out in what Ive got on my feet ....and end up scrubbing the floors after!!

hiya ppqp..how are you ? glad you got some shuteye..the train was a /is a nightmare to put together ...Ive got the bridge in but its getting the gradient and radius right for the engines and coaches ...bit more to this train stuff than I thought!!I will do a bit more today then take some pics ..
well not a lot more to say, except hope you both have a good day ...and hi to everyone else

              MAE ALL...

Lav...I hope everyone is ok too. I'm going to continue thinking they're all just busy until I hear otherwise. Heard the door slam around 8:30 last night and thought here we go again but then nothing. One of them must not be there right now as it takes two to fight. Gotta say I'm glad I don't have issues with dairy I find it a challenge to cook as it is. LOL

Mick...I remember putting train sets together for the kids. Nothing homemade, all the pieces and instructions were in the box, but it wasn't as easy as it looked. I can just imagine what you're having to figure out. Like Lav our winds picked up yesterday afternoon as well. Actually drove home in a mini blizzard. Snow expected right through till Monday. Won't accumulate to much it's the temps that are the worst. Today will bring wind chills leaving us with a high of -8F. The city is now pushing back the opening of their soccer fields so I don't know if we'll even have a program this spring. It is what it is.

To all that are MIA...I hope it's just life getting in the way. If you're struggling I hope you are reaching out. Pop in and say hi when you can.....:smile:PPQP

X-Post Pauly...good to see you and I hope you have a nice af day as well.

                Hi everybody.

PPQ, you probably know this, but when I lived in Victoria, BC, it was a favourite place for many Albertans.

Mick, rough weather again. Some years ago I read a lot about the expeditions to the South Pole - 1908-1912 and it seemed so much colder. The reports now, especially in western Antarctica where the Adelie penguins are losing their ice.

Hi everyone else and Det and Pauly.

                  Good afternoon Abbers,

Sunshine today with super chilly winds - proves you can't have everything!
I have determined we have a little less mud today

I am getting concerned about Det now.......anyone hear from him?

PQ, we are due for an April nor'easter of Saturday & all I can say is fu*k, haha!!!
Aren't you sick of winter yet? I certainly am!!!!

Mick, when my muck shoes get too caked up with mud I just hose them off outside, LOL
I grumble about cleaning floors around here, that motion is not good on my granny back.

Pauly, hello to you? What's happening??

WE are heading out for crab cakes soon, yum. Well, YB is deathly allergic to shellfish so he can get something else, LOL
I love living this close to the Chesapeake bay because you can get good, fresh sea food.

                  Have a nice night everyone!

Hi SK...yes always jealous of Victoria and their early spring but this year I think they're in the same boat as us with below normal temps. I always think of the Butchart gardens when Lav talks about Longwood.

Lav...I've been sick of winter for some time now. LOL Worried about Det too but glad Pauly popped in.

Busy at work today so time flew by. Of course that's when the prog. coordinator decides she wants to learn the proper way of saving her files. FFS she's been here for 18 months and she picks today to learn! I basically ignored her. Here's hoping mine and yours are restful sleeps.....:smile:PPQP

                      PQ- I have an idea......
Sign your program coordinator up for a day long seminar somewhere so she can learn how to handle her files, duh. At least she would be out of your hair for a day, haha!!!!

Lav...she is actually taking 2 weeks holiday starting April 16th and the boss said she's going on a Windows course when she gets back but she doesn't know it yet. Otherwise I should put in an invoice for training!

I like crab but for some reason I just can't get my head/stomach around a crab cake. LOL

Morning Mick...and to think, you were just looking for another project to take on. I can see it now...the new hutch will turn into a redevelopment of the whole condo layout. Sitting at 5F without the wind chill is too cold to even think there'll be a spring. Got a feeling we're going from winter straight into summer this year. A new gaugemaster 4 track! and I thought I was the smart one when I got the train to stay on the single track. I like your version of the windows course only I'd send her through a windows crash course and hope the recovery period is extensive.

Morning Lav...what are your plans for today? Do you think it's too late for me to take up embroidery and make a business out of it? I could see myself doing that. How's the butterfly project coming?

Morning Pauly...it was good to see your post yesterday. Hope you have a great day.

Opened up the online registration for our fall out of school care programs yesterday and discovered all the pricing is wrong. I just looked at the Childcare Director and said didn't anyone test this? I thought you and the account said all the pricing was correct. Going in early to see if it's something I can fix at this end or if I need to involve the developers.

Shout out to the rest of the gang and hope we all have a Fabulous AF Friday....:smile:PPQP

                              Good evening Abbers,

Just another cold & dreary day here in Lav-land, ho hum. The sun popped out after three so at least we got to see it for a minute, ha ha. Tomorrow we are to get some snow not as much as originally thought - GOOD!

Mick, I love shellfish, crab, shrimp, lobster but YB has a seriously allergy to it SO he eats just fish! He has no problem eating fish & is making plans to travel north on shat has become an annual fishing trip with our son, YB’s brother & cousin too. Gives me a few days of peace & quiet, ha ha! You always keep yourself busy, I don’t have to worry about you getting bored! Today is my younger grandson’s 7th birthday. I still have all his trains here but he’s lost interest in them, oh well.

PQ, your coworkers seem to have issues, ha ha!
Sorry you have to deal with all that nonsense.
Crabcakes, when made properly without a lot of breadcrumbs & broiled are really good. Wish I could send you one to try

Pauly, we are here for you!
                              Det, same for you.

Today I became a great great aunt........does that sound old???? OMG!!!!

                              Have a nice night everyone!

Lav...thought I'd do you a favour and have the nor'easter drop some of that snow off here first. We're expecting 7 inches by Monday and with the north winds it feels like the middle of friggin winter. All the outdoor sports programs are supposed to start soon, the baseball sports group has actually hired snow plows to take the 2 feet off on of their fields in the hopes that the forecasted warmer weather next week will melt the rest. Never seen that before! You have a nice night as well.
