Good evening Abbers,

The weather is warming up & the humidity is returning in a big way (think frizzy hair), ho hum.
We made the trip today to visit our 83 year old friend who is now in a VA Hospital 25 miles away from here. Sad to see him like that, just wasting away, jaundiced & flat on his back. I did my best but couldn't even rouse him enough to open his eyes. Just a weak old man now. He damaged his hearing severely serving in Korea & over the years it's gotten much worse. He has been a great friend & was our next door neighbor all the years my kids were growing up. His wife is in pretty poor condition herself & not safe living alone so she will likely end up in a nursing home somewhere. End of life issues, something we all face sooner or later.

Det, everything I am supposed to eat is supposed to be fresh, organic, expensive, ha ha! I am not a big fish fan but I will eat it from time to time. I do like shellfish but YB is severely allergic to it so I never cook any at home.
I have to agree the memorials are heart wrenching. I haven't even been to NYC since 9/11, the DC memorial wall breaks my heart.

SK, sorry to hear you are feeling depressed. Can you get an appointment to talk to someone? We all have to pay attention to our self care at all times.
I am fearful of getting back into the depression/anxiety thing which led me to crazy drinking. We just can't go there again. Please take care.

Pauly, I just saw news footage of flooding in Arizona. They said it's the 4th worst flooding the state has ever seen. Snow, rain, floods, ugh! There was a tornado warning up here a few hours ago for neighboring counties, crazy!

Pauly...wish the weatherman was lying!! Still snowing!! We are at 18 inches now. They have 30 plows heading to the city to help try and clear it out. Glad things are quieter at work for you, hope it continues.

SK...I hope your depression eases off soon. I just went through a bout of it myself. All the warnings have been lifted here in Calgary and the storm is moving east.

Lav...it's sad to see our friends in that state and hurts to remember what they were like before. Reminds me of my Dad. I'm sure he's getting the care he needs and keeping him pain free is about all that can be done now. As for all the snow I don't think it'll warm up enough to melt all this. I have a feeling it's here to stay. Just knew we'd go from Summer to Winter with no Fall in between. Snow will end this morning and the sun is supposed to appear so that will lift our spirits. You can handle just about anything when the sun is shinning.

Mick...did I miss something? Have you made a decision on another rabbit? Hope you get things sorted soon so Jeeves isn't alone anymore.

Mae all...how are we today then?all good I hope ..well its been a looooong day today ,Ive been up since 4 am...that rabbit hutch I bought was a heap of crap...Ive re ..made it .I might as well have bought a new one ...Ive renewed the floor back one of the sides..and made it a lot more secure ..Yes youve guessed it ..went to have a look at the rabbits ...Found one ...a female Jeeves ...only she is what they call a "blue"..looks grey to me ..but hey ...she has a very inquisitive nature ..

hiya Lav ,how are you then ? good I hope..yes its sad to see as age increases it takes its toll on us ..something we cant evade ..all we can do is look after ourselves the best we can..Talking to my friend this morning who owns the farm...the price of hay and straw has gone thru the roof dueto the weather ..on one of their fields they usually get 80 rolls of hay...this year?12 ... those big rolls are currently selling at £270..

Hi everyone. things are a tad bit better.

Yesterday, I mssed 2 dr. visits for cats and 1 from hardresser, I don't like being that way.

Mick...sorry the rabbit hutch was crap, it looked so promising. Love the pics of the female Jeeves, think you got a winner there. Especially if she likes posing. LOL Friday the work will start with the bonding process. Wishing you success with that. Yup, still got lots of snow don't think we'll get rid of it all before winter starts. Work is going good, everyone seems to be playing by the rules. LOL

Yep, I am here PQ
18" of snow today would make me want to jump off the roof or something, ugh! I deal with it in February & March but not now.

Mick, no news about our friend today. I know their son was going to take his mother to the hospital for a visit today. She's pretty difficult to manage too due to bad knees (had one replaced years ago), chronically swollen ankles & macular degeneration. She was forced to give up driving a few years ago.
Your girl bunny looks beautiful, I'm sure she will fall in love with a fancy new hatch & roommate!

I just saw a pic on FB by one of our local farmers. First it was his hay fields now it's his soybean crop, ruined by excessive rain. The bean pods all have black mold growing on them, sad.

I will be taking YB out for his birthday tomorrow. I arranged to have our daughter, SIL & granddaughter meet us for dinner prior to the show (Sweeney Todd). Should be fun, just hope I can find something on the menu that won't set me back on my dietary program.

hiya peeps ,bit late today for me ,been abit busy doing things ...the temp hutch is now finished ....I go to pick up Bonnie tomorrow morning ,...the hutch has been increased in height ,and also got cushion flooring in it now too...Jeeves seems to approve of it ...hope we all had a good day?
got to get up in the morning and split the garden for them..we taking bets to see how long before they end up in the same hutch?

Lav...I hope your friend's son was able to get his mother in for a visit. That's a tough situation and will be hard to get it all sorted out. Hope you found something on the menu to eat at YB's celebration.

Pauly...at least all the roads are bare and dry, as for the rest of it I don't know if it'll go before Sunday when the next round is supposed to hit. Nothing like we got on Tuesday though.

Mick...I like the name Bonnie, I think it suits her. The temp hutch looks great. Let's see, knowing nothing about rabbit bonding and not being able to remember how long it was for Jeeves and Panda I'm going with 4 days, not counting tomorrow. So my bet is Tuesday. Just got back home about half an hour ago. Dinner with family was fun as usual. The show was good but a bit more of a horror show than I expected, ha ha! Great singing & dancing, such talented people.

Pauly, my Halloween decs are few & far between anymore. No trick or treaters out here in cow land, ha ha!

PQ, I didn't get any news from my friend's family today so I guess that means status quo. Can't stop thinking about him though, he was such a great guy & the best neighbor we've ever had.

hiya all...well its been al ong day ...thats me just put them to bed ...separate hutches ...Sheis a little beauty ..hit a problem when we got home tho ...Ive done that hutch up pretty good ...but one mistake tho...Bonnie has a thinner nose that Jeeves ..she sticks it out of her hutch ..so I had to temporary mesh it with 1inch square mesh..just in case she sticks it out and something swipes at her..She hasnt stopped eating since she got home ..Jeeves is watching from the comfort of his hutch thinking ..I aint gonna get any food when she moves in!!..Ive split the garden ..hopefully the rain wont be on tomorrow ...let them out ..hope everyone is well..

Pauly...it was like a spring day out there. Who knew 42F could feel so balmy. I don't think the snow on Sunday will amount to much but you never know these days.

Mick...I think Bonnie eating is a good thing, maybe not for Jeeves. LOL Good catch with the thinner nose, we don't want any owies right off the bat. I'll have a word with Mother Nature so you can get them out in the garden tomorrow. Hope you're having a much needed sleep and looking forward to tomorrows update.

With the huge dump of snow and rapid thaw I've now got issues with our phone lines. (Usually happens in the spring.) Apparently one of the corroded lines ends up dialing 911. With 150 children in our care the cops are pretty quick to show up. Phone company can't send a tech till Wednesday (Monday being a holiday) so I told them if I get billed for false alarms I'll be passing that cost onto them. With that being said decided it was time to just pack it in and start the holiday weekend early.
