Lav...a 4th allergy!!! Yikes, how will you manage? I know you'll do the best you can. We haven't had a lot of snow, know wood, and a lot more should melt today. I'm just worried about what's to come. Depending on who you listen to we're going to have a worse winter or a milder winter than last year. Guess walking out the front door is the only way to know for sure.

Det...glad to hear you're keeping the front end to the front. Keeping busy by painting is a great way to stay physical and ward off the blues. Great shot of BB. You get back to doing what makes you happy.

Big day here in Calgary. We are voting on a plebiscite today as to whether we want the 2026 Olympics or not. I'm torn on this. The '88 Olympics were a huge success but we all know we can't go back. With the oil field crash, the pipeline stalls and the NDP taxing us to death I just don't know where we'll get the money. And believe me I know how easy it is to overspend. I guess we'll find out tonight where we're going.

I hope to stay awake long enough to post. I am worn out with a long work session with a new client. Oh! What a mess! But we brought some order to one room, and he is happy. Sometimes I think I have the best job in the world... bringing order out of chaos and making people happy.

Mick...when I hear my phone ping at 4am I just know it's you. I love listening to you accent. Glad you got your service sorted and it's true if you don't explain how frustrated you are you don't get anywhere. I too have gone off on support which resulted in me being bumped up to "Retention" where you can pretty much write your own ticket. They hate to loose a customer. The pic is as perfect as it can be. They're adorable. Enjoy the theater and the eats!

Tgirl...that's how I was feeling yesterday. Think I was in bed by 7pm and enjoyed a much needed rest. Hope you get a rejuvenating sleep tonight. Got your location pictured in my mind so can keep an eye on the weather forecasts.

Lav...my hands are always cold. LOL I have Raynauds disease, which isn't helped by my smoking. I hope you don't get the forecast weather on Thursday too. We are supposed to drop 20 degrees Thursday with rain and then snow overnight. Short lived but will miss the chinook.

In the News: Drug-sniffing lizard joins Avondale Police Department

Someone else must be sniffing drugs in Avondale to employ a coke head lizard as a Policeman.

An Irishman had been drinking at a pub all night. The bartender finally said that the bar was closing. So the Irishman stood up to leave and fell flat on his face. He tried to stand one more time; same result. He figured he'll crawl outside and get some fresh air and maybe that will sober him up.

Once outside he stood up and fell flat on his face. So he decided to crawl the 4 blocks to his home. When he arrived at the door he stood up and again fell flat on his face. He crawled through the door and into his bedroom.

An old, tired-looking dog wandered into my yard. I could tell from his collar and well-fed belly that he had a home and was well taken care of.

He calmly came over to me, I gave him a few pats on his head. He then followed me into my house, slowly walked down the hall, curled up in the corner and fell asleep.

An hour later, he went to the door, and I let him out. The next day he was back, greeted me in my yard, walked inside and resumed his spot in the hall and again slept for about an hour. This continued off and on for several weeks.

Curious I pinned a note to his collar: “I would like to find out who the owner of this wonderful sweet dog is and ask if you are aware that almost every afternoon your dog comes to my house for a nap.”

The next day he arrived for his nap, with a different note pinned to his collar:

“He lives in a home with non-stop chatting wife, 6 children, 2 under the age of 3 - he's trying to catch up on his sleep. Can I come with him tomorrow?”

A chap sees an advert in a pet shop window for a talking centipede, priced at £500. Thinking he"s found a bargain, he buys it and takes it home in a box. After about 30 minutes, he opens the box and politeley asks if the centipede would like to go down the pub for a pint, but the centipede doesn"t answer, so a couple of minutes later, he asks again, but still no response. He starts to get a bit pssed off, and thinking he"s been done he shouts the question again, at which the centipede pops his head out of the box and says, "I heard you the first time you prat, I"m putting my fucking shoes on!"

Hi everyone. I've just been lazy and doing laundry.

Viv didn't come yesterday because she had a birthday party and GG meeting, but her mom let her come after school today in the 42 deg weather, brrr. As they leaving DD said, "so, we'll see you at 4 for thanksgiving":newhere: She's had a meeting with her conscience, seems like. I found some pics in the garage of myself and the kids and Viv told me she couldn't relate to me being younger but DD told her I was so pretty.

I was trying to vac bathroom yesterday and put litter boxes up and in the closet they went. The foundation of this building is crumbling so the closet door won't close completely due to a large crack. Here was the fun part. I started Roomba and they almost had heart attacks and scattered.

The idiot in the WH could not do a worse job,a great embarassment for the country.

Sam, hope you're better soon,ouch.

Mick...Sounds like you had a great night out. I never hear the pings unless I happen to be awake. LOL Had a good day today, was even able to play cards this afternoon. Yes the Reynaulds can be quite annoying at times but I don't bitch. Figured I'm not entitled to if I don't take steps to improve my circulation, ie. quit smoking. January 5th will mark 50 years of the bad habit, perhaps that will be the trigger to quit.

Pauly...hope you had a good day. Tonight's menu is Atlantic Salmon with Garlic and Asparagus. Didn't get lunch so want a healthy dinner.

Sk...glad you got a visit in with Viv today. Don't know the history with DD but I can sure guess. Glad things look like they're improving.

Got to rearrange some furniture in preparation for the fireplace inspection tomorrow and then I'm only into work for a couple of hours in the morning then home to wait for them to show up. Think I'll cook up a big pot of spaghetti sauce as the weather is supposed to turn.

Cold & cloudy in preparation for tomorrow's nor'easter. I wish this storm would take a hard left & go straight to the west coast. They need this water & coolness to help douse those nasty fires. I really feel sorry those affected. Made a donation to the Red Cross today but it doesn't feel like enough.

We went to visit our former neighbor today on his 87th birthday! He's in hospice now, looks terrible but he is comfortable & being well taken care of I have to say. His wife, son & one grandson were also there. I baked up some cranberry orange muffins & out a candle in one for him. I personally think he will be gone by Christmas, but who knows really?

Mick, we are always picking fights with service providers, LOL
When I felt the cable company was charging too much for internet & TV I pitched a fit but they wouldn't budge. So we dropped them for TV & went with a satellite company, kept the cable company for internet. Well, as it turns out satellite TV sucks!!! They give you billions of unwanted channels & the service goes out every time a cow farts around here not to mention bad weather days. I think we have about 6 or 7 months left on the two year contract then I'm dropping them & going back to cable, ha ha.

PQ, I can't put my hands into anything cold, causes pain. Wearing gloves in winter doesn't help me a bit, I'm better off in mittens. My hands are cold right now because SOMEONE doesn't understand how the new thermostat works & it's usually 62 degrees in here Brrrrrrrr!!!!
Our storm is supposed to begin around 8 am when it's 30 degrees so I'm thinking snow, not so much rain ~ we'll see.

Mick, I haven't watched tv in 3 yrs. I do stream and I bought a $45.00 antenna from Amazon, haven't installed it yet,
just needs coax to the tv and USB. I'll let you know. Cable will be obsolete in a few years so these robbers are getting$ while they can. It now seems as if I need a humidifier b/c my skin is very dry.

I started a declutter today. My cleaning person canceled and it was okay, b/c I didn't have to stop decluttering.She does this often, it' every 2 wks on Thursdays, but she will call to come a day earlier and then be too tired. I don't mind because I have a lot of flexibility. Since th hospital, I have been stuffing my mail into a big bag. If it didn't come in an email, I haven't paid medical bills, etc. The bag was so full and when I started to go thru it most of it was grocery fliers, so tomorrow I pay the bills
When I get overwhelmed. I get anxious and it is useless. I feel very accomplished - and found a $300.00 check!

Since Peggy passed I seem to have more time. I took her to the park for 2 hours daily and she was always with me. I would leave the car running in summer to keep her cool, etc.
So this evening, I went for dinner at La Madeleine and sat by the fire. Very nice.

Lav, that was such a nice gesture! You made someone's day happier, something we all hope to do.

I'm pro life, but not pro suffering and have very strong opinions on that.

PPQ, I am so excited that you are getting a fireplace! Even in TX it has been 28 and 26 deg. F, so I put my fireplace on and on those dark, rainy days. Then I have hyyge.
