oh my, good stuff all 'round AB land it seems and so good to see that.

Rib roast was insaaanely good, outdid myself.
PPQ, it's a thermometer that has a wire which attaches to the roast with a probe and the other end has a timer/sensor/alarm
and you just put that on the counter. Fab! best 18 bucks ever.

This morning was present carnage and it was crazy fun. Bunbun had so much fun playing in the piles of wrapping paper it was priceless.
I made a brunch of pinto beans with wild rice/garlic/bacon/cilantro and a few things i forget and frittata.

Just now getting done helping make a yoooooge batch of homemade tamales. 4 kinds! it's an enormous job but great fun. They won't be done
for a few hours yet. ack! but no lack of foodage here.

haven't been able to get hold of my mom all day... trying not to be a worry wort about it.

so glad all aberooos are doing well, that makes my day

My 2nd peaceful day is done & dusted - son & his family fed, gifted & sent home, haha!!
As much as I would love to have my whole family together again & avoid having to put on two productions here - everything has worked out I guess.
I am thoroughly exhausted & looking forward to some real sleep, I hope

Mae everybody,Mick,enjoy your dolphin watching another Christmas done and dusted and a fridge bulging with leftovers haha,made too much of just about everything but that's OK,Det,glad your meat turned out bueno,Lab glad you got to spend time with all the kids,PQ,I absolutely didn't leave the house once yesterday! Pie,can't believe it was that warm there! Woke up yesterday to a slight drizzle but then it faded out,much love to all and wishes for a great BF Wednesday

Happy post-Christmas day all!

Everyone sounds like they are having a good holiday - so happy to hear! We have had 2 quiet days here, just to ourselves, which was much needed. I did cook some festive meals for us, so that was nice. But mostly we applied ourselves to working in long-put-off things here in the house, and catching up with bills, doing end-of-year contributions, etc. That will continue today, and tonight we go to a hotel by the airport because we fly out at o'dark for the family visits in the Midwest and West. (We did open a couple of presents yesterday, and our pup got into the fun of it as well.)

I always think that this week in between Christmas and New Year's Day is a magical time... last year I was knee-deep in a big move... this year I will at least have "plane time" for some quiet reflection!

Wishing all happy days to come, and peaceful and sweet times for reflection in the next few days... I will check in as I can!

Mae everybody,Mick,such great pics! Now I'm super jealous! Yes do cover your head,I remember a terrible burn on your noggin a few years back,Lav,I made everyone pile their plates with leftovers yesterday so I could toss the rest,the meat was all gone anyway,Romeo has the flu took him to the docs yesterday and they did a swab,doc called Kell last night and told her he had called prescription into Walgreen's and she needed to go pick them up asap,I'm just worried cuz last years flu was killing people,I'm sure he'll be fine but I always worry too much,PQ,hope the episode with the ex wasn't too bad,sheesh we hadn't heard of him in awhile,CTN,the week between Christmas and NY makes me melancholy,I just feel like all the fun is gone and now back to reality boo! Bad way to look at things I need to turn it around,maybe I'll hang up the Playful Pigs calendar LB gave me,I love pigs and the calendar shows pigs doing various activities haha,Det,hope things are well much love to all and wishes for a great BF Thursday!

Hiya all a mere 70 digreez today. . Just been for a walk and a spot of lunch..well as a spot ..ha more like a lorry load
3 pieces garlic bread
3 eggs
Half chicken
Chips
5 slices of cheese
3 cakes
Bowl of ice cream
3 glasses ov DIET coke..that helps

Back to reality tomorrow. .Julie is already playing did u know. .84 days till we go to Sri Lanka
Amy and b/f yes he's back...are in Scotland together seeing if they can work things out. .can't say I've lost too much sleep over it

Pauly...yes it's been awhile since Ex reared his ugly head. It had more to do with the boys, just upsetting for everyone. I hope Romeo is doing better. Glad you clarified CTN before I went googling it. LOL I feel the same about the week between Christmas and NY's. More out of sorts really. I tend to do better while in my routines. Never thought of getting a Pig Calendar though. LOL Leftovers finished here, it's homemade spaghetti tonight.

Mick...I can't believe it's your last day. Gorgeous pics, so peaceful. And yes peace has returned to my house. Like Pauly said, safe travels home.
