TG...the mysteries of photos. I've had that happen too, everything looks good and when it posts it's upside down. You're right though, we got the picture. At least we know you have power. I love the puppy pic, he's got the right idea. LOL Is HB still going to try and make it home? Saw all the warnings to stay off the roads last night. Geeze that storm is unreal.

Pauly...woken up yet? Third cup later I think I'm ready for brekkie. Making a big pot of stew for supper tonight.

hiya all...not too good news ..Bonnie lost weight and not eating too much ..and yet she is bright as a button ,grooming herself etc..I have a friend that is pretty clued up on Dutch rabbits ..she thinks it may be now due to environment .they are .syringe feeding her ,so why would she forage...the specialist is in tomorrow ,so they may take bloods from her I honestly dont know.so all in all been a pretty sh.t weekend ..oh well ..cheers for the fred start ppqp..Julie hasnt had a drink for 6 months yesterday ....she is chuffed..

Hi everyone. Snow was spotted yesterday NBDeal. The chaos must be very difficult, but I'm Canadian and I've experienced snow storms. The worst was a 5 or 6 feet, and we couldn't see over the drift.

Mick, sending positive vibes, it is very worrying because she is one of the family and they can't tell us what's wrong Big hugs for you and a speedy for Bonnie.

Cyn, the pup has the right idea! I think you and maybe Lav had some of the worst of it.

Good evening Abbers,

Odd but our snowstorm turned into a total rain event. It washed away all the snow that was laying around. The temp is dropping now & it's very windy. Just saw a wind chill of 8 degrees on my home weather station. It's supposed to be 8 degrees tomorrow morning with a wind chill of minus something, Brrrrrrrrr!!

SK, the biggest snow storm I can remember was a little over 3 feet & that was plenty, haha! It's the ice associated with this storm that is causing everyone to worry. No fun going without power around these parts.
Your kitties sound like they are happy & in control of everything just the way they like.

Bit of a frigid start this morning. We stayed up and watched the moon last night, very cool (and cold). Should be plenty of frozen ice and remnants of snow.

Snow/rain/sleet here all day yesterday, but no power out, so I am grateful, since it was 7 below this morning! PPQ, I feel like I'm in your territory with that temp. But it will be warmer tomorrow, so not too worried.

Mick, so sorry for the complications with Bonnie... I hope the specialist was able to help that sweet girl. Sending you big wishes for a better week - the Wolf Moon was supposed to create a change of some sort... let's hope the change was good... thinking of you. Congrats to Julie.

Pauly, it looked like the kid's party was a success, at least on the food front! I think Romeo is outgoing and energetic just like his grandma (although you seem too young to be a grandma)

Lav, I also made chicken soup! Then I reserved some stock to put the bones back in and got some good bone broth. I can only tolerate tiny sips, but I hear it is good for the gut. How did the girls do? Chicken feet warm? Glad you kept power on!

SK, I love the stories about the kitties... such a different world from dogs, but it sounds comfy. Did you escape without ice and freezing?

PPQ, I absolutely get the computer thing. My main computer (laptop) has crashed 3x in the last years - one because I tripped on the cord in the middle of doing taxes (!), one because I was stupid and partially fell for an online scare, and once who knows why - something jiggled something while I was traveling with it. So I got a little Lenovo to be my "little boat" and I leave "the mother ship" at home. I sort of long for the days when we weren't held captive by electronics.... good luck!

Sam, How did I you do in the storm - I hope it was rain instead, though in winter that's iffy too!

So in between time spent chipping away to make paths for the dog and getting stuff prepped for taxes, I started reading about the astrological influences just starting up now, and about the importance of the red wolf moon. I decided to try and watch it... set my alarm for 11:30 pm, and saw it just with a bit of Moon showing, amazing. Then pup got me up at 2:30, and it was almost full and round again. I like to plot it's course around my little plot of land here - the shadows of the trees on the lawn were amazing, long and sharp and angled. A beautiful end to a not so great day...
