Barry Morris had signed up to a dating company and he had chosen his first date.

He worried the entire week before the date was due to take place and he wondered how he could impress the young lady he would be meeting that night.

The night of the date arrived and Barry went to the restaurant early.

As luck would have it, he happened to see Sean Connery coming into the same restaurant.

As the head waiter fussed over Sean Connery, there was a moment when the big Scot was left alone and Barry seized his chance.

"Excuse me, Mr Connery, I wonder if you could help me. I'm supposed to be meeting a woman here tonight for a blind date and I really want to impress her. I was wondering if you wouldn't mind coming over to our table at some point and strike up a conversation with me. Would you do that please?"

Sean thought about it and, as the head waiter returned, he reached for Barry's hand to shake it, "What's your name? and Barry told him.

About half an hour into the meal, Barry's date seemed very impressed with him. Barry's confidence soared, he was witty, intelligent and debonair.

At this point, Sean Connery came to their table, "As I live and breath," says Sean flashing a big grin, "Barry Morris you old dog, how are you? And who is this gorgeous lady you're with?"

"Fck off Sean," says Barry, "can't you see I'm on a date?"

A man and his wife are spending their holidays in sunny Spain.

Keen to get an all over tan, the bloke climbs onto the roof, strips off and sun bathes.

After a couple of hours, he comes back into the house and climbs into bed beside his wife and they have a quickie.

Within minutes the guy is in awful pain when he realises that his d.ck is badly sunburned.

He rushes into the kitchen and opens the fridge to find something cooling. Quickly, he grabs a jug full of cold milk and dips in his pained manhood.

At that point his wife enters the kitchen and seeing the milk drip from the end of his d.ck says, "I always wanted to know how you refilled that thing!"

A guy walked up to a beautiful young woman in a bar. "Do you mind if I ask you a personal question?" he said to her.

"I don't know," replied the beautiful young woman. "It depends on how personal it is."

"OK," the guy said. "How many men have you slept with?"

"I'm not going to tell you that!" the woman exclaimed. "That's my business!"

"Sorry," said the guy, "I didn't realize you made a living out of it."

A cowboy in Texas gets pulled over by a State Trooper for speeding. The trooper started to lecture the cowboy about his speeding and in general began to throw his weight around to try to make the cowboy feel uncomfortable.

Finally, the trooper got around to writing out the ticket. As he was doing that, he kept swatting at some flies that were buzzing around his head.

The cowboy sez, "Y'all havin' some problem with circle flies?"

The trooper stopped writing the ticket and said, "well yeah, if that's what they're called. But I never heard of no circle flies."

"Well, sir," the cowboy replies, "circle flies hang around ranches. They're called circle flies because they're almost always found circling around the back end of a horse."

The trooper says, "Oh," and goes back to writing the ticket. But, a moment later he stops and says, "Are you callin' me a horse's ass?"

"No, sir," the cowboy replies, "I have too much respect for law enforcement to call y'all a horse's ass."

"That's a good thing," the trooper says and goes back to writing the ticket.

After a long pause, the cowboy, in his best Texas drawl says, "Hard to fool them flies though."

A guy went to a psychiatrist because he was having severe problems with his sex life.

The psychiatrist asked him a lot of questions, but didn't seem to be getting a clear picture of the problems.

Finally, he asked, "Do you ever watch your wife's face while you're having sex?"

    "Well, yes, I did once."

    "Well, how did she look?"

"Oh boy, she looked VERY angry!"

At this point the psychiatrist felt that he was really getting somewhere and he said, "Well that's very interesting, we must look into this further.

Now tell me, you say that you have only seen your wife's face once during sex; that seems somewhat unusual. How did it occur that you saw her face that time?"

"She was watching us through the window."

Two Indians and an Irishman were walking through the woods.

All of a sudden one of the Indians ran up a hill to the mouth of a small cave.

"Wooooo! Wooooo! Wooooo!" he called into the cave and listened closely until he heard an answering, "Wooooo! Wooooo! Woooooo!

He then tore off his clothes and ran into the cave.

The Irishman was puzzled and asked the remaining Indian what it was all about.

"Was the other Indian crazy or what?"

The Indian replied "No, It is our custom during the mating season that when Indian men see a cave, they holler 'Wooooo! Wooooo! Wooooo!' into the opening.

If they get an answer back, it means there's a beautiful squaw in there waiting for us."

Just then they came upon another cave. The second Indian ran up to the cave, stopped, and hollered, "Wooooo! Wooooo! Wooooo!"

Immediately, there was the answer. "Wooooo! Wooooo! Wooooo!" from deep inside.

He also tore off his clothes and ran into the opening.

The Irishman wandered around in the woods alone for a while, and then spied a third large cave.

As he looked in amazement at the size of the huge opening, he was thinking,

"Hoo, man! Look at the size of this cave! It is bigger than those the Indians found.
There must be some really big, fine women in this cave!"

He stood in front of the opening and hollered with all his might Wooooo! Wooooo! Wooooo!"
Like the others, he then heard an answering call,

    WOOOOOOOOO,

    WOOOOOOOOO

    WOOOOOOOOO!"

With a gleam in his eye and a smile on his face, he raced into the cave, tearing off his clothes as he ran.

Hot Diggety Ding Dong, Det! So happy to hear your new job news. Way to go, and enjoy your new clothes too!

Temperature plummeted 30 degrees overnight, but no room for complaints, given what some areas are dealing with. Sam, did you ever beef up your heating system?

Thought of you last night, PQ while watching a documentary on the evolution of horses, and their relationship with humans. One of the segments focused on the Blackfeet Indians in Alberta, and some unique relay racing that they do.

In the kitchen, I've been channeling Mick, while roasting all manner of root veggies. It's way too hot here to do that most of the year, so enjoying it for now. Beets are the best!

I got some filing done today, which is my way of sneaking up on the tax work that'll soon need attention.

Waving to Lav, Pauly, and the rest of the gang.

          MAE all -

Mick, the jokes are wonderful... but I forget the first ones by the time I get to the end! Still, a laugh is a great thing. Your train setup sounds grand. Glad to hear the bun buns are snuggled in.

Lav, oh how nice that you went to Longwood ! So, a bigger greenhouse, eh? Well, if he'll grow orchids for you, sure! Are you getting snow? Not too much predicted here, 6-8", manageable.

PQ, how is your snow, sticking around? PS, Are you a horse lover? Me too - I must check out the doc that Pi mentioned.

Pi, are you talking about the new PBS documentary about The Horse? I saw the first episode and loved it. I've been watching videos of Natural Horsemanship, and am intrigued by human/horse relations.

Sam, hope you stay warm in the coming deep, freeze - at least we're not in MN'

Pauly, I love whoever said "not my circus", how perfect! I hope you can just do the work you want to do, regardless of where.

SK, what's up? How are you feeling? Are you having this cold weather too? I hear there's snow coming to Atlanta... eeek, I hope not to you.

Det, I was moved by your comments about the grace of your practice and the non-striving approach. What a good reminder, thx.

Wishing all a good Hump Day evening... cheers -

            Re: sunday the 27th

            Good evening Abbers,

Snow flurries started about 9:30 this morning, went off & on all day then the real snow turned on around 4:30 this afternoon. We're not really supposed to get that much, a few inches. I am concerned about the drastic temperature drop coming. The chickens are all tucked in with dry feet & a nice space heater
I don't have to leave the house until tomorrow afternoon & that's OK with me. I'll be meeting the grandsons at their bus stop & imprisoning them here until 8 pm or so, haha!

Mick, I just asked YB about our friend's trains - they are mostly American Flyer but he also has some HO & other sizes. All I know is there's a LOT of them, in a setup very much like yours.
A bigger greenhouse will require a lot more heating & I'm not going back to work to pay for all that, haha!

Pauly, I made mushroom soup today, dairy free (no gas) LOL
I remember shopping in Albertsons in FL while visiting relatives down there.

Pie, everyone (but us) has horses around here. I love watching them & stop to say hello to them when out for walks. There is a small horse farm right across my road. I love hearing them
I'm gathering stuff for the guy who does our taxes. Our taxes got so complicated we gave up trying to do them ourselves many years ago.

Cyn, you definitely get more snow that we do. Be careful!
YB has to drive out to our daughter's house very early tomorrow morning to meet a contractor friend of ours. Together they are going to attack a remodeling project. I wish them both luck

Hello to Det & SK. Hope you are both well.

            Have a nice night everyone!
            Lav

              MAE ALL...

Mick...I can't believe the snow/weather you're getting. I'm glad the peskies are safe and warm. We've cooled off a bit but still no snow. That will all change this weekend with the change in the jet stream. I figure Eastern Canada is getting what we got last year. Still feel sorry for them though. How often do you have to go to the back man? At least you should be good to work on the train layout for awhile. Had a decent day at work even arguing with the accountant. She just doesn't get it so we've all decided not to let her get to us and just put up a hand a say stop! Not listening to this anymore.

Pauly...experiment for dinner tonight. Mixed root veggies (can buy them already prepared) and chicken thighs. Tossed the veggies with oil, garlic, S&P, spread them on baking sheet, placed the thighs on top with a little oil, s&p popped it all in a 425 oven for 45 minutes and voila one pan dinner that was ace!

Pi...yes depending where you are in the eastern states you could be getting clobbered! Been watching the news reports WOW! The horses are the only thing I really miss when I left the ranch. Ex was very hard on them and you could almost hear their sigh of relief when I would walk into the barn. LOL You should check out the Wild Horses of Sable Island.

TG...we've been blessed with a very mild winter and hardly any snow so far this winter. The storm going through the south/east of the US is supposed to shift and we'll end up on the wrong side of the jet stream this weekend. Hoping we don't get clobbered as by the end of January I'm starting to think of spring.

Lav...I saw on the news the daffodils were up in Victoria BC. I hope their weather doesn't turn around. I wouldn't be able to go to Longwood as I'd want to start planting. Some of the gardeners are going to go with flowers instead of veggies this year. Should make for a pretty community garden. You and YB be careful driving on those roads tomorrow.

Wishing everyone a sound sleep tonight...:smile:PPQP

                      Evening all,

I woke up to a beautiful snowfall, shoveled lots of the fluffy white, it was fun. Then everything turned into a crazy blinding snowstorm with howling wind, dropping temps and a white-out. Oh well, guess I'll try out my snow shoes some other day... like before Monday when the temp will be 54(?).
I''ve been struggling with a sore throat and drippy nose, so it's off to bed for me soon with a hot water bottle... Gosh I sound like I'm 90, oh well!

I hope all are doing fine - Pauly and PPQ, I love those pan dinners, yum - it also works with the chili-glazed salmon (wink, Pauly). Lav, did you get home OK with the boys last night, yikes! Meant to say how impressive it is that you have them under control. Mick, crazy weather - hope your back is feeling better. Greetings to SK, Det, Sam, Pi and all else. Happy end of Hump Day (did I wish that a day ahead , yesterday? Oh well...)
                      Cheers -

                        Good evening Abbers,

Just got rid of the boys at 8:30 tonight. They were pretty crazy
The temp is currently 7, heading down to 4 overnight. I'm a little worried about my chickens but I've done all I can do for them. Hope it's enough!

Mick, just before I left the house this afternoon to get the boys we had a snow squall. Complete white out, couldn't see a thing. Naturally the snow had blown all over the roads with all the open fields around here. I will talk to the widow about the trains at some point. She's still emptying out clothing & stuff right now & don't want to push her.

Hi Pauly. hope your day was good.

PQ, your accountant sounds like she has some 'issues'. Hormonal or something deeper??? Is your boss also in charge of her?

Cyn, I hope your not getting sick, ugh.
Our daughter lives about 40 miles northeast of us & they had all rain, no snow. We had just enough here to look nice, not too much to deal with though. The wind gusts have been pretty scary.

Hello to Det, Sam, Pie & SK. Hope everyone is OK.

Have a lovely night one & all.

Lav, the accountants issues are definitely deeper. As a person I really like her, as a co-worker I'm understanding why she has had so many jobs in the past. Yes my boss is in charge of everyone. When I was competing for the position my thoughts were the first thing that needs to happen is to define everybody's roles and responsibilities, but I had been there for 5 years. That has not been a priority for him and frustrations have continued to mount which end up at me to smooth things over. I really feel that what happened today will be a wake up call to him and that something positive will come of it all.

Salad to become scarce and hard to come by in the event of a no deal Brexit.

Scotland are said to be unconcerned.

Whilst the backdrop is in place a no deal Brexit or Theresa mays deal is unachievable... the only way to make these achievable is to kick Northern Ireland out the union, then Scotland would go for independence and probably get it leaving just Wales and England together... But then we could merge and call ourselves Wangland, how cool is that?

I'm looking to purchase a stylishly sturdy ottoman so I can begin building my empire.

My wife was wearing an X-Factor T-shirt, and fell asleep on the beach.

We couldn't believe it when a few minutes later, a rescue helicopter actually tried to land on her.

I always keeps an empty milk bottle in his fridge, just in case someone wants a black coffee
