mae all firstly ....success internet fixed last night ...secondly ...I got a kettle of the same style design and make as the one that blew up..so lotsa brownie points pour moi...My brother is in hosp today ,so hopefully will get a bit more news later .Bigjob today ...clean the guttering and fascia on the hoose ...this is where it gets funny ..balancing on a ladder with a brush and hose..weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.a bit of a wind out there so we shall see .

I'm getting an IP this weekend and stocking up on things to throw into it. Like I could have done your Italian sausage meal but when I looked at the BBQ Rib recipe you posted I thought that's a lot of work. I've you've got any more quick IP recipes I'm interested.

Det...you want to be practical. We all know what you're like when you act out. LOL Four our lunch date sounds like a winner. You probably felt like you've known each other for years. Today just flew by, thought it was 8:30am and it was 9:30am then 10:30 and it was 11:30 so needless to say I didn't each lunch till 2pm. So it's a light supper for me, tomato soup and grilled cheese. Hope we all have a restful evening....:smile:PPQP

Greetings Abbers,

Well, everything is all set for tomorrow. Son arrives at 6 am to drive YB the 45 or so miles to the hospital. I'll be leaving here later in the morning, stopping at my daughter's house to drop off some stuff, meet the new kitten & then take her to lunch while waiting for a call to go pick up YB. The hospital is just a few miles from her house. I hope he's not too goofy when I'm driving him home (there's a bit of history with that) Lol

Det, I'm happy you had such a great day, sounds wonderful.
Don't forget it's more expensive to insure the BMW & a pain in the rear to find someone to fix them when they get broken. My neighbor had one & found out the field mice around here like to eat the nice leather interiors, haha!!

PQ, once you get the hang of the IP you'll be a happy camper. Some recipes are 'dump recipes' where you just toss in everything & put the lid on. I like to brown meats using the 'saute' function, the same with onions, garlic & peppers. After the browning up throw everything else in & put the lid on. I Google Instant Pot recipes all the time. You'll get the hang of it

Greetings folks,

LONG day, 92 miles worth of driving in headache type traffic but all is well.
I was called to pick up YB right around 3 pm. He left the house this morning grumbling like a bear but he was properly sedated for the ride home. Now that's something to appreciate, believe me. He has a huge dressing on his back, I won't look underneath until tomorrow as long as there's no bleeding. He also has a small incision under his arm where they went after a lymph node or two. We'll have to wait for pathology results to see what happens next.

Mick, your internet again? Squirrels chewing wires or what?
How did it go with your brother yesterday? I hope he's OK.
I did meet my grand-kitten, she's tiny & adorable

So the day ‘after’ was not bad. Much less moaning & griping about every little thing. This whole thing reminds me of why I had to retire earlier than planned. You can only handle listening to so much whining before you feel like slapping them, LOL

hiya all...from an aching me..a lovely morning here..it actually wasnt so bad yesterday,either a few spots that was all...Im aching this morning but feel good ...reduced weight in my backpack to 20lb ,here we go ...yesterdays effort
