What a good sleep.. again. wow. I'll take it. Felt good enough to sneak in some weightlifting before work and had a super good day.
No evening social festivities tonight so I made some herbed roasted chicken which is stellar.

Tree, you are a busy bee indeed. Keep those stress levels at bay however you can dear. Sounding good in spite of it all.

Lav, your weather is certainly going to win the prize for excitement that's for sure. Been a bit stormy in sin city but pretty mellow overall.

Mick, I certainly wouldn't know how to service those tiny motors in a hobby train either. I have to use blasted magnifying glasses for any tiny tasks

morning all how are we then today?good I hope ...well did a bit on the scenery on model railway yesterday ....trying to improve the scenery,ie rock faces etc ..so used quick drying patch plaster over the rock face painted it and added bits n pieces .dies it look real? happy for any commentsto improve...If you look at the ailway bridge ,Ive enhanced the rivets on it too.

A guy is driving his Audi along a country road when it suddenly breaks down. Engine has totally died. He calls a tow truck and it takes him and his car to a small garage.
Mechanic opens up the hood and says "zis is not ein problem. I vill have zis car repaired in ten minuten!"
The mechanic walks over to an old spring mattress, cuts it open, and removes 4 springs. He then nonchalantly throws them under the bonnet. Next he steps outside, walks over to a small pond, and grabs a duck as it's passing by. He takes the duck over to the Audi, throws it in next to the 4 springs, and closes the hood. He says to the driver "okay, try your engine".
The driver is thinking "shit, I'm with the local village idiot...", but decides to play along and turns the ignition key. To his amazement, the engine starts first time!
He says to the driver "Wow! That is amazing! How on earth did you get the engine to run with that unorthodox method?"
The mechanic replies:

"Four spring duck technique, as ve say in Germany"

Last night, my daughter Rhoda was moaning that she hated what we named her.

Sam...hope the hay moving went ok. At least you're not doing it in mud! Even if your buddy isn't quite there yet giving him the book is still a good idea. I know for me once I started talking about quitting smoking more and more people encouraged me. So I have now started Champix, a medication to help curb withdraws and my quit date is June 5th. We shall see what happens.

Pauly...I like the name scissor hands too. Of course I'd probably abbreviate it to SH. LOL Sometimes having nothing going on is the best way to be.

TG...thinking of you and hope you're pacing yourself.

So the news from the doctor was not good. She thinks there is a secondary infection and actually wanted me to go to emergency this afternoon. She spoke with a doctor from infectious disease clinic and had her test a couple of things on my leg. He was ok that it was not an emergency and I have an appointment to see him in the morning. Needless to say I probably won't be taking my biologic on the 1st but I'm sure we'll get it all sorted out tomorrow. Hope everyone has a restful evening....:smile:PPQP

We just had a huge thunder storm but no tornado, thank goodness!!
This will be the Year of the Tornado in the US. I have never seen so many. Next month hurricane season starts - what is that going to bring us?

So YB had his sutures removed but we’re not quite done with things yet. He still has a fair amount of redness & tenderness in the area. I suggested an antibiotic & that’s exactly what he got, haha! I’ll have to keep an eye on that cut for the next week or so. I really do hope the discomfort lessens for him, he’s been a bit of a grump.

Det, you sound like such a different person these days. In case you don’t already know, we are all very proud of you & happy for you as well

Mick, the pics look great! You do have a certain talent!
So the neighbor rabbit is a nasty one? Well, I think he needs some obedience lessons, haha!
YB’s surgeries didn’t bother me at all. It’s just him, to be perfectly honest & that’s nothing new.
I am pretty sure that going off my HRT 18 months or so ago has negatively affected my B/P - I knew it would. Turns out estrogen (in every woman) is heart protective & when that level falls then heart disease, hypertension & stuff like that move in. I pretty much knew I would have a problem with this, guess I was hoping it wouldn’t be so harsh.

PQ, if you have a secondary infection you really need to get that treated.
The biologics make you more susceptible as you already know! The infectious disease docs know what to do. I wish you the best :hug:

Creepy Lav and Sam glad we don't have those here(I hope) we have rattle snakes but they usually stay out in the hills where they belong haha,PQ,hope that leg clears up, infections scare me had terrible drinking thoughts yesterday outta the blue,weird how I'm cruising along just fine then bam! Wonder what the cause is? Anyhoo all ok here wishes for a great BF Thursday!

Pauly...sorry to hear about the drinking thoughts but glad all is ok. I always knew where my drinking thoughts came from, usually when I was pissed off with someone. My reaction would be I'll show you, I'll get pissed! How crazy is that thinking!

Back from the Docs, he figures the leg isn't too bad. A couple of heavy duty IV antibiotics should do the trick. So I'm back to the clinic tomorrow for round 2. I guess I should actually let my hematologist know what's going on. Probably shouldn't be taking my biologic on the 5th. I'll figure it out tomorrow as I'm going to relax and literally put my feet up. LOL Have a good evening all....:smile:PPQP

Had our usual dinnertime thunderstorm but nothing broke, haha!
These daily storms have done nothing to improve conditions out there, still hot & humid, yuck.

Sam, I swear that snake is the same one YB removed from the chicken house at least twice last summer. I think he needs to throw it in the truck & drop it off over the state line, LOL

Pauly, I’m thinking you need to occupy your mind with something that is good for you & your quit. Why not take a look at the summer classes offered at your local community college? Some of them are non credit, fun, informational things. They don’t cost much & it’s a good way to expand your thinking. Don’t keep falling back into old habits. They didn’t serve you back then & won’t serve you now :hug:

Hello to all others --

So, the days are flying by... Doing as much tossing, organizing and packing as I can before packers come tomorrow to do the kitchen and fragile stuff. Then 1.5 hours down to the apartment tomorrow to get keys, set a few things up, get keys to the storage locked (yep, had to do a 5x5) mover will load the stuff in the truck on Sunday. Delivery to apartment Monday, Tuesday unpack, wednesday and Thursday go back up to the house and clean, clean, clean because WE ARE UNDER CONTRACT and closing is scheduled for the 7th. If I get through the month of June, it will be just this side of a miracle.

Sending big hugs of gratitude to our Clan here - I am thinking of you all even if I don't post for awhile!

Looks like we have a whole day with no rain ~ nice
I’m sitting on my deck with my iPad & I can clearly see a big fat groundhog helping himself to dinner in the back of the yard, haha!
No snake sightings today but he will be back - I’m ready now. Grateful I don’t live in Florida. I just read about an 11 ft gator breaking into someones home in Clearwater overnight, UGH! Apparently the creature broke several bottles of wine when he broke in the window. Good a reason as any to keep a wine free home, LOL
Also just heard about a shooting in Virginia Beach this afternoon, 11 victims dead, plus the shooter & something like 6 wounded. Yep our fantastic government doesn’t think we need gun control laws - WTF?

Maybe the forester wants to buy more land with trees to cut down, who knows?
