    Re: 29th of September

    Mae all -

PPQ!!! Holy cow, what a lot you have been through... thanks so much for all the details... so glad you are on the mend, welcome home!

Det, thanks for all the news, life is really hopping for you as always. Great job moving Gram, hope that all works out.

Lav, wow, that sounds like a lot of stuff, so glad YB is there to do the heavy moving. Turkey... yes, great idea.

Pauly, hoping that you are starting to have a little coolness - rainy and 50s here today which is much better than yesterday's 90 and humid!

Mick, I am a fanatical list-maker! And I actually do the things on the list... it's just that the list keeps filling up... oh well, life! Wow, the description of your ride home through Manchester was startling - guns and all. How is your brother doing?

Well, off to work down today's List... wishing all a happy one....

        MAE ALL...

It was great to finally sleep in my own bed but I still woke up at 10:30pm (final day shift vitals), 12:30am (night shift vitals), 3:00am (lab blood work) and 7:30am (day shift vitals) LOL At least I had my own bathroom. Hopefully I'll get off the hospital non-sleeping routine soon. Going to spend most of my day sleeping after throwing the ingredients for chicken noodle soup (which the boys picked up for me this morning) into the crock pot.

Pauly...as far as we can figure out I fractured the ribs during an unusually bad coughing spell in August. So when you hear the expression "coughing up a lung" it is a true statement. LOL

TG...thanks, it's great to be home. Will try and catch up with what's going on with you soon.

Mick...no half measures for me! That would be way too boring. LOL If I remember right your brother wasn't interested in an operation in the beginning. I hope it's a good sign that he's changed his mind and that all goes well.

Will pop back in later today....:smile:PPQP

          Re: 29th of September

          Greetings folks,

OMG PQ, we were concerned about you!
So sorry to hear you had to go thru all that, geez. I hope you can take plenty of time to heal up properly & get well.
The hospital routine is harsh, believe me I know. Plus it’s usually just too noisy for people to actually sleep. Keep taking good care & eat lots of chicken soup

          Hi Pauly & Cyn!
Det, try not to lose your mind with the teen, they do get better, promise!
          Great pic!

Mick, I hope your brother’s procedure goes well. I’m sure you’re concerned.
Still waiting on some real rain. It’s just been misting all day but the temp has dropped 36 degrees in the past 24 hrs, yay!

I need to go say goodnight to the chickens.
          Have a good one!

            Evening greetings ABeroooskies!

PPQ, goodness you are just trouble eh? so glad you got that diagnosed and receiving treatment..yikes.

Lav, I take it you didn't cook that huge turkey in the IP? I'm trying to use up leftovers and not buy anything as we are blasting
off tomorrow mid day. Butternut squash soup, salad, baba ganoush and chicken with fig sauce was dinner tonight, yummo.

shouts to Mick, Tree, Pauly.... Sam? anyone else?

packing up my bits and pieces for hotel and trying to stop researching software LOL been doing that like mad today.

Had a super good meditation and talk afterwords last night which was terrific but now I'm lacking on sleep as I got back
late and was up way too early. yawn....

            gnight loves, be well

                  MAE ALL...

Lav...reading back a little this was our Oct 1st. Definitely not your Aug-tober. LOL

                  snow-calgary.jpg

At least I didn't have to deal with the first snowfall of the season.

Det...my crockpot soup turned out a little bland, not enough garlic me thinks. Will try to doctor it today. Have fun at the music concert, try and ignore the whining machine.

TG...I did manage to get a good deep sleep last night, awoke feeling a little more energized this morning.

Pauly...yes I need to remember it's going to take time. Fortunately I am not in any pain. I can take the dressings off my back and side today so looking forward to a good soaking shower.

Mick...thinking of you today and hope all goes good with your brother.

Off to make my second cup of coffee, anyone interested.....:smile:PPQP

                    Greetings friends,

Just a few more things to put in my car & I'm ready for tomorrow's craft show. This is work I tell ya, haha!!

PQ, you sound pretty chipper friend
I hope you continue to heal quickly. That snow pic is awesome but just a bit too soon for me, geez. We are having daytime temps n the 60's now, just where they're supposed to be around these parts. It's about time!

Det, I convection roasted that little 12 lb turkey in 2 hours, not bad. It's all but gone now, yum.
I hope your trip is marvelous & don't kill the teenager (even though they seem to want you to put them out of their misery sometimes). It's temporary, they get over it, I promise!

Cyn, hope your day went well with your client.

Pauly, hope your day was good as well.

Mick, I imagine you're busy but I hope your brother did well with his surgery. Take care.

I hope we all have a decent night!

                      Mae all -

Very cool out, but bright sun today... what a pleasure.

Looking forward to hearing how today goes for all - Lav, good luck on the craft fair... yes, all that hauling is really hard work!! Glad the weather is good. Safe travels, Det. hang in, Pauly. Hope surgery went well, Mick. Enjoy your shower, PPQ! Hello to Sam and all others.

I have a few ways to go today... stay and work in the apartment, drive up to our old digs and try to downsize the remaining things in my clients barn... also also a couple of computer projects... lucky to have these choices, but sometimes I wish someone else would create my marching orders!!! Anyway, a pretty day is never anything to waste...

                      Wishing all a good one!

Mick...thinking of you, hope all is well.

Lav...hope you're getting lots of traffic through the craft show. Most of the snow has gone as temps got up to the double digits. Unfortunately another cold front is coming through Monday night and bringing more. I'm hoping this isn't the beginning of our winter. Feeling stronger every day and remembering to take it easy and go slow.

TG...cool and sunny here today too. One thing about our winters is we get a lot of sunshine. It seems to make a big difference on a cold snowy day. Which way did your day end up going?

Pauly...hope you had a good day at work this morning. It's too early for snow for me too, it usually doesn't appear till Halloween.

Shout out to the rest of the crew. Have a Super Sober Saturday all....:smile:PPQP

ppqp how are you then today?ok I hope or getting better.

big hello the everyone else ...Im tired but heres some jokes .

Taxiing down the tarmac, a DC-10 abruptly stopped, turned around and returned to the gate. After an hour-long wait, it finally took off.

A concerned passenger asked the flight attendant, "What, exactly, was the problem?"

"The pilot was bothered by a noise he heard in the engine," explained the flight attendant.

"It took us a while to find a new pilot."

The German air controllers at Frankfurt Airport are renowned as a short-tempered lot. They not only expect one to know one's gate parking location, but how to get there without any assistance from them.

So it was with some amusement that we (a Pan Am 747) listened to the following exchange between Frankfurt ground control and a British Airways 747, call sign Speedbird 206.

Speedbird 206: "Frankfurt, Speedbird 206 clear of active runway."
Ground: "Speedbird 206. Taxi to gate Alpha One-Seven."

The PA 747 pulled onto the main taxiway and slowed to a stop.

Ground: "Speedbird, do you not know where you are going?"
Speedbird 206: "Stand by, Ground, I'm looking up our gate location now."
Ground (with quite arrogant impatience): "Speedbird 206, have you not been to Frankfurt before?"
Speedbird 206 (coolly): "Yes, twice in 1944, but it was dark, -- And I didn't land."
af since the fourth of July 2012...howzat then America..now proudly marching into year 12

                                Greetings folks,

Had an OK day at the craft sales, not as many people as I like to see but I did have 5 sales so it was worthwhile. My daughter added some of her crafty things to my table but only has 1 sale. This was her first time out on the craft show circuit so she’s learning the ropes
The day started out briskly in the 40’s - LOVED IT, haha. It warmed up to 60 something & was sunny all day.

Mick, your brother sounds like he may be just a little stubborn? Is that a family trait? Actually that attitude will help him heal, honestly.
By the way, I flew into & out of Frankfurt airport, they were very nice!!

Hey Pauly, hope your day was good!

PQ, you sound good & I’m glad you’re not dealing with real winter yet - way too soon!
Take it easy & get well.

Cyn, you have way too much to do in one day’s time, geez. Don’t wear yourself out lady!!!!

Hello to Det, Sam & anyone else dropping by.
                                Have a nice night!
