    Happy Wed night ABeroooskies!

it's been cookies and muffins and various treats around the joint.. a dangerous but fun time of year. This is really the first year of my life where I was
in an environment that celebrated the holidays. My folks thought is was a waste of time and had religious objections so I was always that weird kid that
didn't get Xmas. I'm actually enjoying the silliness and formality of it all.

new backpack? oh my.. I do love outdoor gear. I have a camera backpack which is groovy but it's too big for hiking. Santa has hinted at a new one...

I'm having entirely too much fun with my new phone as you can see if this works:

    * video * Shared album - Xring007 - Google Photos

no new snow yet on the mountain so prolly won't be playing in the snow again just yet, but keeping and eye on
the weather for the next opportunity. Better be doing my leg exercises!

crazy chicken salad last night with walnuts, apple, feta cheese, radishes, tomatoes and a zillion things...yummo.

Pauly, dreams are indeed pretty wacky... I mostly like mine at least

Lav, so glad you don't have any broken bits. in fact, the whole crew seems to be in pretty good shape? I haven't done anything stupid to
    injure myself in months... amazing!

did some really cool experimental photography Monday night and sent off to have 4 of them printed. I'll be exhibiting in 2 galleries come Jan. wow!
so much to learn about the printing processes and the gallery world. I'll be there for the showings to answer questions etc. so exciting! and a wee tad
    nervous of course.

going to spend the day tomorrow with my uncle and one of his kiddos. love them all so much and looking forward to it.

things at home with 13yo are much more trying...groan. the lack of maturity seems absurd but I'm not a parent so I just have to have my shields up often.

PPQ shoe shopping? it takes me weeks and a dozen store visits to decide on shoes. ... I'm hopelessly picky. ack.

well, hollies are nigh and not a drinking thought in my head. So very grateful.

    Sam still out there somewhere?

that's a wrap for now.... gnight loves and be well.

Mick...I'm not surprised you're having internet problems with the weather you've been having. Hope they get it sorted soon.

            Greetings Abbers!

Nothing like freezing your a$$ off on your birthday, haha! Just got back from dinner & a walk around Longwood Gardens in 23 degree weather! The entire place is decorated beautifully so it really is worth a little discomfort
YB got me a bird feeder to attach to a kitchen window & a 10 pack of instant hand warmers - I am sure he did his shopping in an Amish hardware store,. Haha!

Det, loved your video & I’m seeing either a movie or a stand up comedy routine in your future
The best way to survive a 13 year old is basically ignore the rudeness & reward the good behavior. That’s how I got thru it with my kids. They’re pretty smart & will pick it up fast
Good luck with your photo exhibit next month!!!!

Pauly hope your day was fabulous!

PQ, sounds you did have a fabulous day!

Mick, hope your internet gets well!!!!!

Hello to Cyn & anyone stopping by tonight!

            Have a nice night!

hiya all ...just got back from a hearing in Sheffield ,with a friend of mine ...just this ver y minute got in thew hoose Ive got physio at 91945 ,so if I get time will catch up with yall later....Internet working as lot better ..fingers xd

I just found out my girlfriend is a ghost....

To be honest I had my suspicions from the moment she walked through the door

My children keep finding their Christmas presents that I’ve hidden around the house. Someone suggested that I should just keep them in the loft.

So I tried that last night, but their constant crying and whining kept me awake. All the “I’m afraid of the dark” or “I don't like it up here - there are spiders” really got on my nerves. Any other suggestions?

So I was sitting there this morning reading the newspaper in my underpants, when I thought to myself,
"I really should get a proper pair of incontinence pants"

I never give money to Pharmaceutical wholesalers, they'll only spend it on drugs !

A young man called his mother and announced excitedly that he had just met the woman of his dreams. Now what should he do?

His mother had an idea: "Why don't you send her flowers, and on the card invite her to your apartment for a home- cooked meal?"

He thought this was a great strategy, and a week later, the woman came to dinner. His mother called the next day to see how things had gone.

"I was totally humiliated," he moaned. "She insisted on washing the dishes."

"What's wrong with that?" asked his mother. "I think it's a wonderful gesture."

                "But before we started eating?"

A couple were roaring down the road on a Honda motorcycle when the guy pulled over because his leather jacket had a broken zip. He told his girlfriend, "I can't keep driving any more, the air hitting me in the chest is unbearable."

His girlfriend said "Try putting your jacket on back to front."

The boyfriend quickly made the change and they continued roaring down the road until the next bend! The boyfriend was going far too fast, lost control and the couple were both flung into a ditch.

A passing motorist stopped, rushed over to help, then ran to call the police. The police telephone operator asked, "Are they showing any signs of life?"

"Well," the motorist explained, "the girl seems OK and her boyfriend was moving until I turned his head around the right way!"

                  Good evening Abbers,

Unfortunately YB is down with the flu - for real
He got his flu vaccine more than a month ago but I guess it didn’t work for him. Just popped him the first dose of Tamiflu & hoping it works, geez.
We’re expecting the family here for Christmas eve next week & my granddaughter is supposed to stay overnight on the 23rd so her parents can go celebrate their anniversary.
I always remember the kids coming down with a virus right before Christmas but it was short lived. When an adult has a temp of 101 & joint aches, that’s serious. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Mick, glad your internet is back in order

PQ, how nice to have time off over the holidays, something we never experienced in our jobs, haha!

Pauly, still with the weird dreams? I haven’t had much sleep either this week & I don’t know why.

Cyn, I think you are out on the west coast this week? Hope all is going well.

Det, I hope you are having a good day!

Nothing much else happening so I’ll just wish everyone a good night!

                    ahoy ABeroooodles!

oh my, Christmas flue season? I hope not. visited uncle and cousin yesterday and they were sickly too. eeeek!

Lav, hope the kiddos manage to miss the flu this year..that would be a nice break for you too. So cool you have fam coming
to visit for fun times. Things will be pretty quiet here but my plan is to have early Xmas morn here with the ladies, then zip east to
my uncles to have xmas #2 at their place.

Pauly, oh no my accent is pretty accentless. just was having fun goofing around.

stand-up comedy is a seriously rough gig so I'll be avoiding that, however I really do want to make some silly youtube cooking videos and think
my recently acquired skills with camera and software will make that a good fun way to get in some practice. stand by!

Mick, that sounds like some un-fun tasks you have..hope it's smooth as possible.

waiting for the girls to get back from doing their nails. Been making a loverly cacciatore and the smell is driving me bonkers

time to geek-out on video production technique on YT.

                    be well loves!

                      Mae all -

Sorry that I didn't make my travel plans more clear! Last Sunday drove a 4- hour RT to drop the dog off a his old sitters, then hopped on a x-country flight. Spent Monday through Friday looking at possible place to live, as well as hanging with hubs' daughter- - she is excited about our coming out there to live. Took a red-eye on Friday night, got back to the east coast yesterday morning, napped and then did the 4- hour trip to retrieve the pooch. I didn't sleep on the plane very much, nor last night, so I'm droopy!

Lav, HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY! Wishing you a grand year to come (you baking fiend!) sorry about YB's flu - hope the meds help --

Mick, safe travels, and hope you enjoy your time away.

Det, hysterical video - great news about the gallery - hang in there for Xmas!

PPQ, glad that you got a little "soft" air for a change! I hope that work and all is going well -

Pauly, dreams really can be so absurd! I hope you are sleeping better now...

Well, I can hardly keep my eyes open, so will get a 'catnap' and then try to jump back on again later...

                      Cheers all -

Some guy bought a new fridge for his house. To get rid of his old fridge, he put it in his front yard and hung a sign on it saying: "Free to good home. You want it, you take it." For three days the fridge sat there without even one person looking twice at it. He eventually decided that people were too un-trusting of this deal. It looked to good to be true,
so he changed the sign to read: "Fridge for sale $50." The next day someone stole it. Caution... They Walk Among Us

We had to have the garage door repaired. The Sears repairman told us that one of our problems was that we did not have a 'large' enough motor on the opener. I thought for a minute, and said that we had the largest one Sears made at that time a 1/2 horsepower.
He shook his head and said, 'Lady, you need a 1/4 horsepower.' I responded that 1/2 was larger than 1/4. He said, 'NO, it’s not.' Four is larger than two'.

We haven't used Sears repair since.

are blind people doing driving?!' She was a probation officer in Wichita, KS

At a good-bye luncheon for an old and dear co-worker (she was leaving the
company due to 'downsizing'), our manager commented cheerfully, 'This is
fun. We should do this more often.' Not another word was spoken. We all
just looked at each other with that deer-in-the-headlights stare.
This was a lunch at Texas Instruments.

for the sake of her life, couldn't understand why her system would not

                        IDIOT SIGHTING:

When my husband and I arrived at an automobile dealership to pick up our
car, we were told the keys had been locked in it. We went to the service
department and found a mechanic working feverishly to unlock the driver's
side door. As I watched from the passenger side, I instinctively tried the
door handle and discovered that it was unlocked. 'Hey,' I announced to the
technician, 'it's open!' His reply, 'I know. I already got that side.'
This was at the Ford dealership in Canton, Mississippi

                            Greetings Abbers,

Wow that Tamiflu really works! Two doses in & he’s starting to act human, haha!! I never had that stuff before but the commercials are impressive

Det, I can see you making videos, cool! Good luck with that project!!
I don’t know how either of us ever get sick here. We eat tons of homegrown garlic ~ I put it in everything!!!

Cyn, goodness gracious, you have been on the move!!!
I didn’t know you were thinking of relocating out west, awesome. I hope you get some rest soon so you don’t run your immune system down, you know what happens!

Pauly, I have no idea who is showing up at my house Christmas eve. I am preparing food, gifts & all the good stuff & they all know so we’ll see what happens.
I made my pierogie filling this afternoon, the dough is resting now so I’ll be spending the rest of the evening rolling out dough, cutting & filling. I’m going to freeze them so I only have to quick cook them when we need them. Sounds like a plan!!

PQ, hope you had a good day!
YB got me a copy of ‘The Polish Housewife” for my BD. Awesome recipes just like my babcia used to make

Mick, sounds like you are running right on schedule. I sure hope you get tons of sunny weather on your trip
Do the bunnies know what you are planning? I swear my dog knows when we are leaving for a few hours, haha!

Have a nice night everyone, still below freezing here, Brrr!!

                              MAE ALL...

It poured with rain last night!!! I have never seen rain this late in December. Of course then the temps dropped below zero overnight and the whole city was covered in ice. On top of that we were fogged in!! It's now been 12 hours of fog with visibility close to 0 in some areas of the city. Weird! I met up with a girlfriend for a very enjoyable lunch and driving home the roads were unbelievable packed with cars. I was sure glad I didn't have any obligations other than to get home and watch Christmas shows. LOL

Mick...glad you had another go around with your shoulder before heading out on Monday. I'm sure it'll be worth it. You're probably early out tomorrow dropping off the peskies. Hope you don't run into any traffic issues.

Pauly...hope you had a good day at work. You all ready for Christmas?

TG...I remember you talking about moving out west awhile ago. Then you moved into the apartment and I thought your plans had changed, but I guess just delayed when you sold the house and had to vacate. You seem to always be on the go. Hope you can slow down soon, you wouldn't want to get sick.

Lav...good to know about Tamiflu. If it worked that good for YB it'll work for anyone! Did you get the pierogies made? Somebody mentioned eggs benedict at work on Friday and all I could think about was poached eggs. So I bought myself an early Christmas present and got an egg poacher pot. 3 minutes and perfect eggs. No more messing around with boiling water and vinegar.

                              Have a good night all....:smile:PPQP
