A golfer, playing a round by himself, is about to tee off, and a greasy little salesman runs up to him, and yells, "Wait! Before you tee off, I have something really amazing to show you!"
The golfer, annoyed, says, "What is it?"
"It's a special golf ball," says the salesman. "You can never lose it!"
"Whattaya mean," scoffs the golfer, "you can never lose it? What if you hit it into the water?"
"No problem," says the salesman. "It floats, and it detects where the shore is, and spins towards it."
"Well, what if you hit it into the woods?"
"Easy," says the salesman. "It emits a beeping sound, and you can find it with your eyes closed."
"Okay," says the golfer, impressed. "But what if your round goes late and it gets dark?"
"No problem, sir, this golf ball glows in the dark! I'm telling you, you can never lose this golf ball!"
The golfer buys it at once. "Just one question," he says to the salesman. "Where did you get it?"
"I found it."
A magician was working on a small cruise ship. He does the same act week in and out, with a new audience every week.
However, the Captain's parrot watches the show every time. Finally, the parrot figures out how the tricks work and starts giving it away for the audience. For example, when the magician makes a bouquet of flowers disappear, the parrot squawks "Behind his back! Behind his back!"
Well, the magician get really annoyed at this, but what can he do? The parrot belongs to the Captain, after all.
One day, the ship springs a leak and sinks. The magician manages to swim to a plank of wood floating by and grabs on. The parrot is sitting on the other end of the plank.
They just stare at each other and drift. They drift for 3 days and still don't speak.
On the morning of the fourth day, the parrot looks over at the magician and says: "OK, I give up. Where did you hide the ship?"]

Sorry to be away... I barely made it through Friday, but then felt good enough to work yesterday, so probably overdid it. Ah well, a nice quiet day today with hubs (though we did go to the Hudson River walkway, for about 4 minutes... too cold! The dog was happy though.) Got excellent tacos for lunch, and picked up Chinese at the same time across the street for dinner. No cooking tonight, yay.
Mick - that pic of the village was absolutely terrible!! Is that happening in many places? Oh, the weather is changing and our towns will have to change too...glad you saw the little kittens.
Lav, glad to hear about your time out and about - weird names! How was the smorgasbord?
Pauly, glad you saw your Mom, sorry it was short.
PPQ, hope the weekend is good for you - wishing you well for the week to come at work.
Det, best wishes, and Sam hope you are OK with all the bad weather... hello to all dropping by...
Wishing you all a gentle Sunday evening, with wishes for a sweet week to come. To The Light.

Re: 9th Feb
Good evening friends,
Actually had some sun today but rain is on the way back for the rest of the week.
Busied myself with some cleaning & cooking, no big deal.
My granddaughter is scheduled to come here Thursday afternoon & spend the night because she’s off from school & her parents are working. She’s home today with some virus & a 102 degree temp, poor kid. But kids get better fast, at least as fast as they got sick in most cases.
Hi PQ, hope your day was good!
Pauly, I think the moon is messing with everyone’s sleep & wake time. Full moon tonight I believe, watch out!!
Cyn, I am not a huge eater so gigantic buffets like that kinda freak me out but I did find some good stuff, cooked local style (too much butter of course. YB loaded a plate with mostly meat, ugh he always does that. We both skipped the desserts which they had tons of of course.
Glad your doggie enjoyed the fresh air yesterday. My SIL went to NYC this morning for a week long seminar right on Times Square., sounds like crazy time.
Hello to Det & Sam! Hope everyone is OK.
Mick, that’s some serious flooding, goodness. Glad the bunnies are safe & sound in your location.
How about that British Airways flight arriving 2 hours early from NY? Nothing like a tailwind, huh?
Have a nice night everyone!

Re: 9th Feb
Good evening friends!
Chilly & rainy here but it’s not bad really. 10 years ago today we had a 3 ft snowstorm so I have no complaints
Granddaughter was still running a low grade temp today so she will be missing another day of school tomorrow. We are planning to stop by for a quick visit tomorrow since YB has to go to a firehouse meeting nearby. I think she’ll be in good shape for her overnight stay later this week.
Pauly, your recipe sounds good.
I hope you had a good day!
Mick, the bunnies look happy, apparently the storm hasn’t bothered them at all.
I read an interesting article today about why the cold air has stayed up over the arctic which is causing us in the US & you guys too to have mild, warmer than usual winters. Apparently only Alaska has had colder than usual winter air. Crazy stuff! I assumed the snow stopped.
What are you going to do with your new toy?
Hello to PQ, Cyn, Det & anyone else stopping by.
Wishing all of us a nice night!

Re: 9th Feb
MAE ALL...
Mick...well done on getting the Mallard Loco and at a great price. Wow, the pics and video says it all. Hope your snow didn't last too long. The peskies look content so that's all that matters. No news on Meghan and Harry over here either. If they're at the same place they were over Christmas it's pretty isolated and gated. The coal barge looks great, I assume we'll see it on the artificial water?? Hopefully will get some cards in on Wednesday if I get back from my Dr's follow up appointment in time.
Pauly...dinner sounded lovely. I'll have to check out some keto sites to get some ideas. Isn't it great when you can shock yourself with a meal. LOL
TG...hope you continued to feel better and didn't over do it today. 4 min walk sounds perfect to me. LOL
Lav...sounds like the timing is bang on for your g/daughter. She should be good to go by Thursday. Sunday just got away from me but I didn't manage to get out for a haircut. Not especially happy wit it but it'll do.
Det...they did a major system upgrade Friday night/ Saturday morning and the "Thanks/Like" is an add on. So until the add on gets updated they're not installing it. I keep looking for it while reading posts. LOL So glad your gallery time was good. Between you and Pauly I may just have to sign up for Instagram!
Made a big pot of stew yesterday and nobody showed up for dinner, so it's left overs tonight. Have a restful evening all....:smile:PPQP

Quick hello and good night from this Monday. Worked at home, then at client's, then came home and cooked, and just took 2 batches of homemade granola out of the oven... to late to stay up until they cool to put them in canisters, so I covered them with foil and I'm going to bed!
Lav, good luck to granddaughter, hope she feels better soon. Mick, the bunnies look pretty content... glad all that rain is over for now. PPQ, leftovers are my fav! Pauly, yum dinner. Det, congrats!!! Sounds like you are on an artistic role. Sam, hope you are OK... hello to all others. That moon was something to see the other night, right? Hopefully we'll all get some sleep now.
Cheers to all for a good Tuesday tomorrow...

Re: 9th Feb
Hello and good afternoon to you full stop hope we're all well this afternoon? Well the storm may have gone, but it's certainly hasn't left sunshine behind it is still very very windy, blowing a gale and changing between rain and snow on an hourly basis the rabbits haven't been out today at all definitely not happy bunnies. Tidied up did some bits and pieces in the house, and did some work on the railway I've managed to get lights working inside tunnels what a performance that was but it looks pretty good. All I need to do now is get what is called a Reed switch which turns them on and off by magnets otherwise job done
Hiya lav and how are you today? Hope all is well did you enjoy your smorgasbord yesterday? In Amish country what did it consist of ? Jeeves and yet again decided he is not going to eat I've watched him all day it's because he has started to lose his winter coat. He shed enough hair today to make me a wig
Hiya ppqp.. how are you today then question mark hope all is well over in Canadia full stop at school tomorrow is it? You will soon have your own casino running
Hiya pauly hope you're doing ok yes I love mushrooms too but when I eat them I loads at the time, so cooking in the pan there isn't mushroom for anything else get it? Haha it doesn't really sound funny dictating it on a phone here take care have a good day

Re: 9th Feb
Greetings folks!
Soggy around here today but not too bad for a drive. My granddaughter is looking better & returning to school tomorrow. By the time she gets here Thursday afternoon she’ll be in good shape. I told her I would take her to the little local zoo IF the weather improves
Mick, your train setup is really looking awesome, great job!!
Can’t wait to see your bunny hair wig, haha!!
Amish cooking involves a ton of butter, milk & cream which I cannot consume. Going to one of those big buffets is kind of hard for me because I really have to pick thru all the options. Now YB ate & enjoyed it all of course, haha!
Cyn, I love my homemade dairy free granola & apparently someone else does as well because my last batch is almost gone. Do you freeze yours for long term keeping?
Sounds like you have been as busy as usual. I didn’t sleep much at all last night, hopefully the full moon stuff is over now.
Det, you sound great, I am happy for you! Getting yourself established as an artist is no simple thing. Just keep moving forward!!
Pauly, hope you had a good day!!
PQ, I am hoping to go get my hair cut tomorrow - we shall see if that works out, Lol
Getting any signs of spring yet? At least the sun is setting a bit later these days, tonight was at 5:30.
Sam, hope you pop in soon!
Have a decent night everyone!

MAE ALL...
TG...that was an interesting opening, hello and good night. LOL Worked at home then worked at clients then came home and cooked. You've got way too much energy best to send some this way.
Pauly...we just can't win for losing. LOL
Mick...I hope the tail end of that storm moves off soon. We started the day in positive temps, by noon they dropped and by 4pm we got the rain/snow mix you got. It's not supposed to amount to much and gone by tomorrow night. The lights inside the tunnels look great. How do the magnates work with the lights? Hope it's just the shedding that's messing with Jeeves. Does that mean an early spring for you?
Shout out to Lav, Det and Sam.
Had a positive, productive day and accomplished everything I wanted to. Did I mention the prog coord wasn't in? LOL Off to make a chicken stir fry for supper then relax. Have a great night all...:smile:PPQP
