    Re: June 7th

hiya all....still no stone ...1400 hrs it hasnt landed yet ..how are we all in this mad and totally crazy world ..this isnt the platform for politics so lets try and keep it that way ...save to say we are getting a pretty good scrap metal fund in uk .been raining all morning ,Ive done a bit on the railway this morning ,fixing lighting etc .

hiya Lav hows you then? the concrete boys landed yet?see the film gone with the wind has been pulled too.maybe we should have an international statue swopping forum..take care.

hiya ppqp..hows you then?hope all is ok with you..history doesnt seem to be important any more which in its own right is dangerous ....what seems to be happening now is going to widen the gap and create more antagonism.

hiya pauly how are you doing? hope all is well with you

big shout to everyone else .

      MAE ALL...

It was a good day today. Got some cleaning done, work project finished, grocery's bought and planning on making chicken soup from dinner left overs tonight. I haven't been this organized in ... ever. LOL Government has pushed up our reopening and just heard they're hoping to have a "close to" school opening in Sep. That's good news as I may still have a job come the fall. LOL

Lav...did the concrete project get done?

Pauly...I hope things got sorted out at work and that you don't end up having to close again.

Mick...just as well the stone didn't show up this morning with the rain. Did it ever show up? We're expecting some rain over the weekend again.

Popping into work tomorrow to meet with phone company, looking at replacing our system. Just an upgrade, no damage from the fire. Anxious to see what state the building is in. I'm looking forward to getting back to some kind of routine. Thinking of the rest of the gang. Have a good night all....:smile:PPQP

        Re: June 7th

Good evening all on the hottest day of the year so far, ugh!

Yes, those two guys worked their hearts out in this awful heat & got the job finished, looks great!
Made a quick trip to the dentist to get my new bridge glued in so I can chew on both sides of my mouth again, haha! Looking forward to seeing my girls tomorrow but we are supposed to get storms off & on.

Pauly, we’ll have to come up with another care plan for you for your low iron level.
I would like to see someone give Trump a hard shove & see if he actually maintains his balance - bet he wouldn’t. I feel sorry for that 75 yr old man that was hurt.

PQ, sounds like your Guardian Angel motivated you today, nice
Bet that won’t happen two days in a row, it wouldn’t with me haha!

Mick, sorry you got held up with the stone delivery again. That’s so frustrating when you’re anxious to get a job done.
I don’t think I’ve watched Gone With The Wind more than once or twice. It was disturbing to me & no one needs to watch that stuff these days anyway.
The statues can stay or go, I don’t care one way or the other but I do wonder why some of them were ever made. Some people don’t really deserve that kind of recognition when you look at the history of their behavior.

Hello to Det, Pie, Sam & Cyn!

Hope everyone has a nice night!

          MAE All,

Mick I hope you’re out tending to the stone delivery finally arrived.

PQ, Binge watching has become one of my favorite pastimes. It’s a much kinder “reward” at day’s end than drinking. Got hooked on The Last Kingdom on Netflix, now working through Game of Thrones. Not usually my genre of choice, but I surely am hooked.

Pauly, I’m with you; tired of hatred and violence. What’s happening in Seattle is especially disturbing. Very worried for folks out there.

I’m enamored with my new generator! Buying all sorts of fancy accessories for it. Magnetic dipstick, iridium spark plug, battery tender for the electric start. Such a weirdo!

Waves to Lav, Det, Sam, etal.

morning all...how are we today then? good I hope..well the madness continues here ,you couldnt make it up...what I am noticing too is a swing aganst those rioting etc ...the sentiment is right ...all lives matter but to start pulling things down without democratic discussion is tantamount to mob law ..soon be christmas ...or perhaps we should ban that too...all those poor little elves slavishly working away .....going down to see my brother tomorrow.no stone again...had another email this morning ...will be here in 24 hrs..

hiya ppqp hows you this morning?all good I hope .hope the meeting with the phone co..went ok ..of course you will have a job ...theres no one else to run the place!!!!!have a good day .

hiya Lav ..you well? hope so..as for the stachooz ..I could care less ...you may get a protest from the pigeons and seagulls ,pretty good job on the concreting it looks good.Yes I agree ...some of the statues are questionable but it does not excuse the actions of a mob.as I said dependant on who is looking and from what angle Mandela and Ghandi under loose interpretation could fall under the bin it off.com rule

hiya pauly ,how are you doing?good I hope ..just for you...

Mae everybody, Mick beautiful pics, I could see just sitting there gazing out with a cup of coffee(you can have tea) AZ is getting hit with alot of new cases of the virus, they say they think it was from memorial weekend which is about the right time frame, who knows,Pie, that's awesome you're so excited about the generator waves to the gang and wishes for a great BF Thursday!

Meant to share this funny bit from Game of Thrones. Guy 1 accuses Guy 2 of being drunk all the time. Guy 2 responds that staying drunk is hard work; if it were easy, everyone would be doing it! :welldone:

                  Re: June 7th

                  Greetings folks!

My day didn’t go as planned but it turned out OK. Daughter had to postpone her visit, granddaughter had ‘end of the school year’ activities to do online....whatever. My grandson made another appearance because he wanted to see his cousin for the first time in a long time, oh well. I just took him home so now I can sit for a while.
Still hot & humid after a thunderstorm last night & rain all morning, ugh.

Pie, get to know your generator before you actually need it - that’s the way to go

Pauly, hope your day was good!
I think some states are re-opening too quickly so we’re seeing a surge of new cases. This will go on & on until people get sick of being sick I guess.

Mick, Seeing all your horse friends reminds me I watched a deer romp thru my yard a few hours ago. She didn’t see me up on the deck!
The statues that came down in Philly were done by order of the mayor & approval of city council. They are being stored in a warehouse until they figure out what to do with them. I don’t think anyone really objected. Your train city looks great, what’s left to do?

I heard on the news that the Trump casino & hotel on the Atlantic City boardwalk will be torn down soon. It’s been vacant for >5 years & now it’s crumbling & poses a hazard, LOL I have walked by that place a few times but never stepped foot inside, din’t want to

Hello to PQ, Det, Sam & Cyn!

                  Have a nice night all!

Mae everybody, Mick have a good visit with your brother, hope he's well Brady's friend tested positive for the c-vid, luckily he's young and he said he just has flu like symptoms, I'm glad Brady hasn't hung out with him in person in awhile, they mostly communicate thru their online gaming, Lav, I think it was to be expected that we'd get more positive cases with more testing and yes opening up but people just aren't being responsible, sorry your granddaughter visit was delayed yet again waves to the gang and wishes for a great BF Fryday!

                        MAE ALL...

Mick...hope you had a good visit with your brother and that he's doing ok. I've been working on our re-launch policies and my head is just spinning. Every time I think I've got it figured out I come across another "requirement" that has to be implemented. Haven't played bridge for a couple of days now and I miss it. Hopefully will get a game in tomorrow.

Pauly...I'm glad Brady wasn't socializing with his friend and I hope he recovers soon. We launched Phase 2 in Calgary today so more business opening and more people out and about. I'll still be keeping my distance.

Lav...it was a hot day here today and I'm just waiting for the bubble up thunderstorm now. I'm feeling a little blah today, have absolutely no energy. Probably too much screen time and not enough outdoor time. My goal is to get more active starting by visiting the garden tomorrow.

Waves to Pi, Det and Sam. Thinking of you TG.

                        Have a good night all....:smile:PPQP

                          Greetings friends,

Much better today, the humidity has left us, yay! It was really oppressive for a few days. Sitting out on the deck now & it’s pretty nice.
Nothing much going on here & that’s fine.

Mick, I hope your visit with your brother went well.
I think it’s time to turn the rain off at your place, geez.

Pauly, sure hope Brady’s friend recovers quickly! I hate to see anyone getting sick with this virus, young & old!
My granddaughter & her parents are on a camping trip now for a few days. I’m sure they will enjoy the beautiful weather this weekend.
Keep yourself safe at work & keep on booting out the the non-compliant mask wearers.

PQ, sounds like you have too much work on Your hands right now. So much that it’s interfering with your card playing haha!
I’ve been dragging a bit myself this week so I have been splurging on some afternoon caffeine. It’s the first time in years, haha!

Hello to Det, Sam, Pie & Cyn!

I hope everyone has a decent night!

Mae everybody, Mick hope your visit went well, Lav I think it's allergies making us feel draggy maybe? Weves had dry, windy days here so we've all been sneezing, not sure what your allergens are like there, yea I don't want anyone catching that crap anymore, it's too unpredictable and spreads too fast! Pauly....are you working on Saturdays still? Is the gun toting grandma still there? I hope you're not suffering too much with the allergies.

Mick....glad to hear no back issues now that the stone is in. Pic please! It's overcast and dark here today, so went over to the garden before the rain starts. Sorry to hear you have a sad task ahead of you this weekend. The only good thing about dreading something is it feels so good when it's done. We're here for you if you want to talk.

Have decided I'm not doing any "work" work today and I have a bridge game lined up for this afternoon. YAY! Have a good day all....:smile:PPQP
