    Re: July5

    Good evening Abbers,

Rain, rain, rain all day! Some areas are reporting 4” or more. The mud in the Chicken yard is pretty fierce, haha!! There’s nothing like the smell of wet chickens with muddy feet!!!
We didn’t get the high winds, they stayed closer to the coastline, thank goodness.

Pauly, until my SIL gets his test results they all have to stay home. The results are delayed I hear because of high volume this week. Our state reported >1000 new cases today
I imagine they will be using instacart again. Why do people have such a hard time following a few simple instructions? Can’t believe how stupid people can be.

Mick, good news on your gum healing, very nice!
Glad the rabbits got a chance to work on their suntans today, Lol
    Hope the curry was good!

PQ, I haven’t wanted To take up any of Cyn’s personal time. I’ve been reading her journal on the Caring Bridge daily & leaving a comment from time to time. I wold never have the nerve to embark on a 3000+ mile drive on my own, she’s amazing!
I think you have to pile up the dirt around the potato plants so the potatoes aren’t exposed to sunlight as they grow. YB does all that, not me.

Hello to Pie, Det, Sam & Cyn!

Since it was so wet out I stayed inside & baked up a double size loaf of Polish sauerkraut rye bread. Made sandwiches with some smoked pit beef we picked up yesterday. I haven’t eaten beef in forever, it was kinda weird to me but YB liked it of course.
    Wishing everyone a nice night!

      Re: July5

Mae everybody, Lav, I felt the same about invading Cyns personal space so only wish her well when she posts something on FB, I know when I've lost people I got bombarded with messages from friends and distant family members and I wouldn't reply cuz I could barely think straight and now they don't talk to me at all, oh well, well it's HOT HOT HOT here like that sillly song from the 80's haha, think 112 today? Just dealing with the day to day is all, PQ, I laughed at the signs haha, I almost left someone's groceries at the wrong house yesterday so that's my mess up, lucky I fixed it! Much love to the gang and wishes for a great BF Saturday!
I have too much shit to do today and tomorrow to drink:sohappy:

I'm taking care of the "tomorrow me"
Drinkin won't help a damn thing! Will only make me sick for DAYS and that ugly, spacey dumb feeling-no thanks!

        MAE ALL...

Lav...i bet Stella's happy to see the mud. That means a bath!! Glad you didn't get the winds to throw everything around. I understand about giving TG her space. Yes, I agree she's remarkable. The drive is probably just what she needs. I'm glad she's keeping people up to date on her adventure so we all know she's doing ok.

Pauly...we're going up to 81 today and that's plenty hot for me. I know people mean well but how many times can you answer the question "How are you doing?" I think you've got the right idea just wishing her well, she knows you're there for her. Leaving the groceries at the wrong house would be a big boo boo, well maybe not for the recipient. LOL

Going to head over to the garden and perhaps mound the potatoes. I think my carrots are buried under their leaves somewhere. No flowers on my tomato plants so I'm super jealous of Mick. Have a good Saturday all, I'll pop back later....:smile:PPQP

And good afternoon all how are we today then? Hope all is well with everybody I'm sitting in the conservatory dictating this to my phone phone so bear with me if there are any mistakes. It is 21 degrees today got the door wide open and a rabbit trying to sneak past me to get into the front room where there are lots of Wires for her to destroy couldn't handle it anymore and I bought a second-hand laptop yesterday it has Windows 10 on it and a host of other programs it was pretty cheap and yet it is a pretty good model ok it is 6 years old old but it does the job better than the steam driven one.
          Hello ppqp
How are you today then? Hope all is well with you yes I am quite a few flowers and indeed tomatoes on my plants now ranging from really small ones to bake tomatoes so you are mounding up your potatoes are you ? The Scottish word for that is tumping a little tip for carrots you say they are all buried under the foliage just try this with a couple of them cut about three-quarters of the foliage off in length I definitely know it works with parsnips

          Hiya lav
How are you today then? hope all is well best of luck with the tests what is the weather like in Galway have you still got the rain? Think yourself lucky really that's just chickens you keep imagine the problem if it was elephants very similar to yours, our nutcase Prime Minister has said that they might enforce the wedding of masks in a few weeks time they haven't made their mind up yet it's quite simple really you wear them or you don't come in end of story they could not organise a piss up in a brewery take care of you and yours and enjoy the Polish bread must be honest I love Polish sausage but unfortunately it contains about 80 months worth of calories at a time

          Hiya pauly
How are you today then? Julie has gone to get her hair done this afternoon so I guess I better do the old that looks lovely comment on return I don't know what's going to happen because they actually said that there should be no small talk in the hairdressers the lady that does her hair has got a degree in gossip you stay safe and take care of yourself

A big shout out to everyone else especially you treacle enjoy your trip the fact I am not pestering you doesn't mean I'm not thinking of you take care and enjoy your trip

            Re: July5

            Good evening friends!

Dry today but very hot &humid still so that tropical storm was absolutely no help at all except that everything was well watered. I sunk in the mud up to my ankles this morning trying to get to the chicken’s water can to refill haha. So gross. Got a huge watermelon for then finally so they get a few slices tossed in their yard every afternoon along with an overgrown zucchini or two. They are happy birds.

Pauly 112 is certainly hot, what’s the humidity like? That’s what really kills us here, yuck.
Glad you’re helping folks out with the deliveries during this strange time. SIL is feeling somewhat better but still waiting on his test results - takes forever because they’re so damn busy here in PA.

PQ, I’ll take your 81 degrees!
Hope you found the garden in good shape today.

Mick, you had a steam driven computer? Are you Amish? Haha!!!
I don’t mind using an older computer as long as it hooks up to the internet & can actually do something. Sounds like you found a good deal
We seem to be overrun with squirrels this year, never had so many here. My dog is exhausted chasing them away from the bird feeder, Lol

Hello to Det, Pie, Sam & Cyn. Thinking of all of you

Let’s all have a nice night!
