Afternoon all not to report here. After a wild windy wet weekend we are back to cool sunny days. Sorry about your friends Mick i don't know anyone personally thats got it and i always trust the news on figures etc. We are in week of phase 5 lock down and the same as you over there only essential shops open for food meds etc and schools and collages still open. some pubs and restaurants can operate a take away system only and many closed and may not reopen. Det i love your art work are you in Vegas too? i was there for vacation i am in Dublin Ireland. going to visit sister today i usually go twice a week. I have online images of many boarded up business in the states getting prepared for riots with elections. Its looking close between the two we just have to wait and see. I do hope it does cause a lot of looting deaths and violence so stay anyway in affected areas and near polling stations. Ok have a good day x

MAE ALL...
Sam...good to see your post this morning. I was hoping for a landslide too but figured this is what we'd get. Zoom and skype are pretty much the same thing, a few more bells and whistles in zoom. I hope the road was dry for you today.
AJ...I don't understand why they continue to keep the schools colleges open during a lockdown. Seems that's where most of our cases are coming from. Nobody could tell me what to do when I was in high school. LOL Hope you had a good visit with your sister today.
It was definitely a weird day today. Seems all kinds of glitches were happening with everyone. Every time I turned around someone else was at my desk say "The strangest thing is happening", Managed to solve a couple of them the rest I need to investigate further. So it is now time to unwind. Shout out to the rest of the gang and I hope we all have a peaceful night.....:smile:PPQP

Re: 1st nov
Good evening friends,
Well, we are still waiting for results & I think it may be another day or two. I’m in one of the states that’s holding things up due to the huge amount of mail in ballots, oh well. It’s looking good for Joe Biden, Trump is already demanding recounts, haha!
I’ve been busy working on embroidery orders & grateful they keep my mind off the politics.
PQ, I have an iron & ironing board set up in my sewing area, sometimes you have to press things as you sew. I never put my own clothes on it though, Lol, that’s what a dryer is for!!!
Have fun teaching the boss how to do a Zoom meeting & be sure you get a raise afterwards
Sam, we moved 7 of the oldest chickens to our Amish friend’s farm on Monday. The remaining 10 have only given up a total of 2 eggs per day since, haha. The young flock won’t start laying for a while yet so we’re going to have to go easy using eggs. Hope your day went well on the mountain.
Anjicia, there’s been so much unrest in the US. I have never seen so many protests, riots, looting, shootings, ugh. I thought it was bad back in the 60’s, geez!
I hope you had a good visit with your sister today.
Pauly, what’s up with you?
Det, hope all is well.
Mick, the Philadelphia news stations just reported on the lockdown in Manchester & showed lots of people hitting the stores for supplies. Hope you got what you needed too.
My daughter is reporting an increased number of people in the ER of the hospital where she works with Covid symptoms. It’s just everywhere & all we can do is follow guidelines & try to stay safe. I truly hope you’re OK
Cyn, when is your quarantine up? Should be soon I imagine. Hope you are well.
OK, back to work for a few more hours then work on some puzzles or something. Have a good night all!

Re: 1st nov
Hi Lav....I did watch some of the returns last night, watching for the PA results and thinking of you. Although hoping for a landslide things turned out pretty much as I expected, narrow margin and Trump crying foul. I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who uses the dryer for ironing. LOL What kind of puzzles are you working on? I love jigsaws. Don't work too long tonight....:smile:PPQP

Re: 1st nov
Morning Mick Stillorgan is quite close to me by bus about 20 mins. I was in the shopping centre about 2 weeks ago. Just got some stuff in Dealz Lidl and Dunnes. Its was great you met up with Byrd was that your first time in Dublin or Ireland? I would to visit Scotland but have to see how next year and if there will be more travel restrictions or what will happen. I won't be booking any travel any where for now anyway too risky. I wonder if so pomeeple have just got flu because this flu season and some people are prone to getting more than others. i get sniffly colds and sinius issues i don't think i ever got bad flu that landed me in hospital but a few years i would i may got mild doses but my living conditions were not so good at the time. Also pnumonia and other respitary issues we don't hear of now. I am just hoping they are not diagnosing these are covid19 but of coarse covid cannot be ruled and must be treated as such. Dull start here not much on today. this lock down is tough here i hope it does not continue all through 2021 i wish i could be more hopeful anyway have a good day xLast edited by Guest; November 5, 2020, 03:13 AM.

morning all,
looks like a nice one on the horizon. Fall feels like spring almost. Not much happening here but work. Glad to have it but a little overwhelmed. AJ, hopefully the lockdown will have a positive effect on the c-virus. I never stopped to think what social beings we are till all this started happening. Mick, happy anniversary! Re: 1st nov
Mae everybody, Mick Happy Anniversary! Sam good to see you as always, Lav, glad you're keeping busy with you're embroidery to keep your mind off the election, wow what a trainwreck, it'll be interesting to see what goes on in the next few months, DT isn't gonna leave willingly, PQ, I use my dryer for an iron too, I haven't touched an iron since Brady was in middle school band haha, he needed some slacks ironed that a hair flat iron wouldn't work on so I borrowed the neighbors iron, tired feel like the extra hour of sleep just makes me want more! Much love to all and wishes for a great BF Thursday!I have too much shit to do today and tomorrow to drink:sohappy:
I'm taking care of the "tomorrow me"
Drinkin won't help a damn thing! Will only make me sick for DAYS and that ugly, spacey dumb feeling-no thanks!

Re: 1st nov
Greetings Abbers,
Still no winner in the presidential election but it kind of makes me think the orange buffoon is melting down as we speak
He deserves to suffer a bit considering what he has done to this country & it’s citizen’s over the past 4 years. Oh well. His law suits are being thrown out by all the judges who know damn well the election is not over when Donald says so. Can you imagine trying to sue the states because they are still counting the votes? That’s insane.
Nice weather here thru the weekend, no complaints.
Mick, Happy Anniversary to you & Julie. Small celebrations are fine too.
I sure hope your brother is OK. I imagine you can’t even get in to visit him now with the Covid restrictions.
That’s a shame about your neighbor & his kids. Hope they do OK.
PQ, I used to do regular jigsaw puzzles, like the one YB currently has covering the dining room table. I do mine online these days, on the iPad. You don’t lose any pieces & nothing cluttering the house.
Keeping a close eye on the PA vote count. If Biden wins PA then he will be our next president. We have enough electoral votes in this state to put him over the top :yay:
The counting goes on, I have to be patient.
Pauly, what’s up with you?
Hello to Sam, Det, Anjicia, Pie & Cyn!

MAE ALL...
Mick...guess what, it's pouring with rain here! Rain in November, unheard of. They're also predicting a blizzard Sunday into Monday! Good thing I get my tires on tomorrow. I hope you hear from your brother soon, not knowing is the hardest. Do you interact with your neighbours much? Hopefully the kids won't get too sick, they seem to handle it better than the rest of us. Happy Anniversary to you and Julie.
AJ...Scotland is on my bucket list, just don't know when that'll happen. I'm grateful we're not in lockdown right now, it was hard enough the first time around. Hang in there and just take it one day at a time.
Sam...it's felt like summer here for the last week but mother nature's going to put a stop to that this weekend. LOL I think this pandemic has made everyone realize what's important in this life.
Pauly...glad to hear Lav and I aren't the only ones who use the dryer to iron. LOL Just finished watching DT make a speech. Made me think of a cry baby. Hope you had a good day.
Lav...sounds like someone is going to have a decent weekend. I just hope this snow event isn't here to stay. That was the problem with jigsaw puzzles, they took up so much room. I tried a couple of them online but it just wasn't the same. I'm keeping a close eye on the PA vote as well.
Program coordinator didn't come into work again today so no meeting. At least I'm ready to go whenever that happens. We're installing a new security system and fire alarm panel at the community centre so I've been listening to beeps going off all day. Sort of reminded me of the old water torture. LOL By 4 o'clock it was dark and rainy, felt like 9pm so I told the boss it was past my bedtime and left. LOL
Have a restful evening all....:smile:PPQP

Re: 1st nov
Mae everybody, PQ, how annoying! That beeping, we work next to a phone store and sometimes their alarm gets tripped and the sound is annoying and goes on for awhile, it's vague but consistent, yes DT is acting like a baby and I don't get why he wants to stop votes cuz if he did that the other guy would've already won anyways, it's a mess. Waves to the gang and wishes for a great BF Fryday!I have too much shit to do today and tomorrow to drink:sohappy:

Re: 1st nov
Ahoy ABeroooos!
the whirlwind continues and I'm enjoying some down-time today for a break. So many very agitated and anxious folks abound so
it was nice to have a full room at last nights Refuge Recovery meet and meditation. Always does me well to be helped and help
others...not always in that order
got to get into the gallery today and put up my cards/prices etc and see how it's going. I'm sure it's a totally crap time to try and sell art
with the horrible jobs numbers and finances tanking thanks to the world being shuttered so long.
Mick, seems you are in the epicenter of social experiments with gov controlled virus tracking APPs etc. I thought that the British medical journal
coverage of 'operation moonshot' was some conspiracy malarkey but it appears to be business as usual for our fearless leaders.
really excellent podcast with Glenn Greenwald on Rogan's show. highly recommended as also his interviews with Snowden. Our gov got caught red-handed
illegally spying on domestic and foreign people/business etc which has carried on through both Rep and Dem administrations for decades and yet no outcry
from the population.... crickets. The things to really be concerned about whither-away quietly in plain-sight while for completely stupid and misguided 'excuses'
violence comes to our cities. I hope some of the social media influencers manage to instil an urgency for peace as this messy year draws to an end. they seem
to have taken the leadership role for so many...this evolving new society is a fascinating and often morbid thing to behold.
hey, nobody's talking food? I'm ready to do some stress-reducing cooking today.. perhaps BBQ time. 'fun food Friday' is a thing we have fun with here.
yes, certainly looking for a new place to call home. bouncing between several cities in several states that all look better than Vegas, though that's a
pretty low bar to hurdle.
Lav, craft show upcoming?
Pauly, loving your IG posts
Sam, wish I could join you for some mountain time man.
PPQ, enjoy? um... the blizzard. sounds impossible from here.
off to errands... zoom!

Re: 1st nov
Good evening folks!
Mild day again, not complaining. My younger grandson has been installed for the weekend & he’s currently stuffed full of food & quiet, playing Roblox
I have a very agitated (almost hostile) spouse here because his candidate seems to be losing the election, oh well. He’s not getting any sympathy from me, haha. He’s going to have to grow up & accept the results, just like I did in 2016 in a bucket of tears.
PQ, sounds like your lovely fall weather is about to come to a screeching halt! Sorry about that & glad you’ll at least have good tires if you need to go anywhere.
I’m running outside before dinner now to close up the chicken house now, seems strange after the long summer light.
Pauly, I only watched a few minutes of Frump’s speech yesterday & had to turn it off. He’s so unhinged, lying & misleading with every statement he makes. I don’t care if they have to remove him from the white house in a straight jacket - he’s going in January!!
Mick, glad to hear your young neighbors sound good. I hate when kids are sick with anything!
Biden’s numbers are increasing not only in PA but also a few other states. He just needs to win PA to get the electoral votes to clinch the presidency.
Hang in there & keep yourselves safe!
Det, figured you were busy as usual & that’s a good thing.
Speaking of food I made a huge pan Of dairy free turkey tetrazzini this week with tons of fresh mushrooms so we are feeding ourselves from that haha! I just add a salad & some steamed veggies each day. I always loved the cook once eat many times theory, Lol
Hello to Sam, Pie, Cyn & Anjicia. I hope everyone is doing well.
Have a nice night all!
