    Re: 3rd of Jan 2021

    Mae all,

Sorry to be gone... just more long days and short nights.

happy belated birthday, PPQ, sorry I am late in welcoming you to Seniorhood... I'll be there in June...

Wow, Lav, no wonder your BP was rising, I had no idea he might have been called for last night's debacle, that would have been tough for me too...

Mick - brick forks? And yes, I would have thought the Glasgow police were the ones that could control that crowd of yahoos.

Pauly, hope all is chugging along for you - pls take extra care...

Det, congrats on keeping on... great to hear, sending energy.

Sam, I thought of you today when I did a super-fast run into the grocery store. Lasted just long enough to hear the whole "Thank God I'm a country boy" - about pickin' and playin' - loved it.

So far so okay with brother and SIL... hopefully the monoclonal antibodies will keep them safe from the dreaded Day 10 (tomorrow). Not happy that my brother's o2 won't get higher than 95... and he is prone to respiratory infections... still saying lots of prayers. Thanks all for your concern.

I haven't turned on the tv since Xmas day, and I didn't turn it on last night... I just can't bear the talking heads dragging me through every detail a million times. I read newspaper stories as they came onto my laptop, that was bad enough. But the video (from inside) of them crashing through the Capitol building door, and the still of the standoff at the Chamber door was absolutely sickening. Unbelievable. Damn him. But Go Pelosi, back at her (defiled) post, calmly wiping the gavel with an antibacterial wipe... that was leadership. And Romney, apparently shouting at the T-supporting republicans... excellent. Some bright spots in a dark day.

Stay well all, please please. Will be back when I can... big doings again this weekend... uuugh.
Lav, we finally had sun today - hope you did too...
    To the Light.

      Re: 3rd of Jan 2021

      Good evening friends,

Would you believe me if I told you I woke up with something akin to chest pain this morning?? After a warm shower it eased off, I think I slept in an awkward position. I also went to bed with a giant dose of anxiety after yesterday’s shit show. If Trump isn’t removed after this mess I don’t know what will become of us.
And just to continue my angst I found one of my young chickens murdered in their fenced yard about an hour ago. WTH??? YB is reviewing the trail cam now to see if we can figure out what happened.

Hello to PQ, Pauly, Cyn & Mick. I know we are all having issues right now but we are all OK. This I know for sure
Hello to Det, Sam & Pie. Hope everyone is OK.

Have a good night all & I hope to be back tomorrow in a better mood.

Mae everybody, Lav sorry about your poor chicken PQ, happy belated birthday I hadn't realized, hope you had a good one, Cyn, I really hope your loved ones recover quickly, damn this virus! Wishing everyone a happy day and wishes for a great BF Fryday!
I have too much shit to do today and tomorrow to drink:sohappy:

I'm taking care of the "tomorrow me"
Drinkin won't help a damn thing! Will only make me sick for DAYS and that ugly, spacey dumb feeling-no thanks!

President Donald Trump after being suspended from Twitter and Facebook now has a MySpace account which ironically is what Joe Biden is asking him to vacate.

          A Man Went to Visit
his 90 year old grandfather in a very secluded, rural area of the state. After spending the night, his grandfather prepared breakfast for him consisting of eggs and bacon. He noticed a film-like substance on his plate and he questioned his grandfather. "Are these plates clean"?

His grandfather replied...."those plates are as clean as cold water can get them so go on and finish your meal".

That afternoon, while eating the hamburgers his grandfather made for lunch, he noticed tiny specks around the edge of his plate, and a substance that looked like dried egg yokes. So he asked again, "Are you sure these plates are clean"?

Without looking up from his hamburger, the grandfather says, "I told you before, those dishes are as clean as cold water can get them, now don't ask me about it anymore"!

Later that afternoon, as he was on his way out to get the paper, the dog started to growl and would not let him pass. "Grandfather, your dog won't let me out", he complained.

Without diverting his attention from the football game, his Grandfather shouted, "Coldwater, move"!

A man and woman were having dinner in a fine restaurant. Their waitress, taking another order at a table a few steps away, suddenly noticed that the man was slowly sliding down his chair and under the table, but the woman acted unconcerned.

The waitress watched as the man slid all the way down his chair and out of sight under the table. Still, the woman appeared calm and unruffled, apparently unaware that her dining companion had disappeared.

The waitress went over to the table and said to the woman, "Pardon me, ma'am, but I think your husband just slid under the table".

The woman calmly looked up at her and said, "No he didn't. He just walked in the door".

...is walking down the street and comes across a man and his dog. The little dog is singing. He has a lovely voice and the talent scout says, "Come to my office. I want to sign you and this marvelous dog to a contract. This dog can make us both rich".

The man brings his little dog to the talent scout's office. The little dog is just about to finish singing "La Donna E' Mobile," when a large dog runs into the room and grabs him by the scruff of the neck. She (it's a bitch) runs away with him in her mouth.

The talent scout yells, "Stop her. She's taking away our fortune"!

The man replies, sadly, "It's no use. That's his mother. She doesn't want him to be on stage. She wants him to be a doctor".

            MAE ALL...

TG...I hope day 10 passed uneventful for your brother and SIL. I've been praying right along with you. Will this weekend see the end to your commitment? I hope you take time to breath.

Lav...how are you feeling today? I'm so glad your son wasn't involved in any of that debacle. So sorry to hear about your young chic. Did YB have any luck figuring out what happened? Man, it's been one thing after another for you lately. Hope you had a calmer day today.

Pauly...thanks, I think I can stop counting birthdays now. LOL Hope you had a good day.

Mick...just what you needed to see when you got home, geeze. Glad it was an easy fix, that floor will never have looked so clean. Nope, restrictions extended for another 2 weeks except the kids are to return to school on Monday. That means the childcare staff will be back in but I'll be far, far away.

Waiting for boss to approve fees for next year's school term, schools are taking kindergarten registrations as of next Thursday and the parents have been asking. So that just added to the pile on my plate with a definite deadline.

Shout out to Pi, Sam and Det. Have a good night all....:smile:PPQP

              Re: 3rd of Jan 2021

              Greetings all,

Just vastly improved my mood by buying lottery tickets, Lol. There’s a drawing tonight at 11 pm for a jackpot > $520 million!!!!! Tomorrow’s jackpot is almost that big too!! I could do a lot of good with that kind of $$.
Trump & his kids need to be arrested & thrown in jail for inciting violence this week that ended up in the deaths of 5 or 6 people so far. Twitter said they won’t let him back on permanently, good!!!

Mick, no snow here friend, just chilly. Sorry about the kitchen leak - been there a few times, ugh!
The early morning/daybreak pictures this morning showed a hawk sitting inside the chicken yard so now we’re not really sure who the murder is, unbelievable.

PQ, i always have a little anxiety related to my son & his job & the awful commute he has to get there. But seeing the violence break out live on TV really had me feeling sick. Mind you I’ve dealt with this same anxiety for the 30 years YB worked in the police dept. I am so done with all that sh*t. Sounds like you have plenty to do to keep you busy

Hey Pauly, doing a bit better today. I’ll let you know if I win any of that cash haha!!

Cyn, hope you are able to catch a breath today. Only had peeks of sun today, could use a little more, right?

Det, Sam, Pie, hello to you as well.

              Have a decent night everyone.

              Lav

                  Re: 3rd of Jan 2021

Mae all - 11:18 PM here in the East, and I have finally finished work for the day... that was a nice 10 hours, with cooking the dog food adding some time to that... oh well!

Lav, my heart goes out to you... I know I wouldn't do very well worrying about my loved ones constantly being put in harm's way. SO sorry about your young chicken... seems unfair, and I'm sure very unsettling. The hawks around here are fierce... I once saw one carry away a sizeable squirrel, sheesh. Sorry if that's what happened... wishing you a good sleep and some comfort food tomorrow.

Pauly, thanks for the shout out... so far the med drip seems protective, we'll see... day 10 today, and SIL's o2 was dropping... I keep sending prayers. Take good care of yourself!

Mick, you hit a Home Run with those jokes, thx, I needed a laugh. Sorry about the leak... just after all your work in the kitchen!

PPQ, glad things seem to be going well - you take care --

Shout out to Det, good luck with the moving, Sam and all, sending best wishes.

Let's embrace the growing light - but keep a protective eye out for the dark. Like those brave women who saved the electoral ballots... good to have a plan...

                        Re: 3rd of Jan 2021

                        Good evening friends,

                        Sunnier today thank goodness!
We took a ride to Harbor Freight in Delaware this afternoon & came home with 2 canopies to put up in the chicken yard. Trying to make it harder for the aerial predators to get to my kids, hope it helps.

Mick, the kitchen looks great!! Can you come here & paint my cabinets too? Mine are pretty beat looking after 17 1/2 years of wear & tear, haha! I’m thinking about finding someone to do the job, I’m not interested. Your snow looks pretty, not too much really! Glad yo got out to walk & think of your friend.

Cyn, you are working WAY too much girl! Is there someone local who could take on a few things for you? A part time high school or college kid looking for experience?
The hawks are vicious & always hungry. I’m sure they could carry off a small dog without too much difficulty. I’m glad Matilda has put on her winter weight - too heavy to carry, haha!
There’s still a big pile of white feathers left under the leafless forsythia where the predator killed the chicken. The rest of the flock seems to be very wary & spending more time inside the house.

Hello to Pauly. PQ, Det, Sam & Pie.

                        Have a peaceful night everyone!

                          MAE ALL...

TG...that was a long work day for you yesterday. I hope you were able to get a break today or is today when everything happens? I'd have to scroll back way too far to remember what you were asked to do. Hope everything is ok with brother & SIL. Thinking of you.

Mick...I bet you're tired! I think walking with your memories is a great way to just let all the emotions happen. We really need to do that more often. The kitchen looks great and seeing as how you're chief cook and bottle washer I hope you enjoy it. Lots of snow out there but sorry I think we still top you.

Lav...good luck with the canopies, I hope it helps. I think Matilda is safe. LOL I bet the rest of the kids are leery. I ended up having a nothing day. I will continue to work from home until further notice. With school reopening boss figures the fewer people in the building the better. Couldn't agree more.

Shout out to Pi, Det, Pauly and Sam.

Think I'll watch a movie instead of the new tonight. Have good evening all....:smile:PPQP

                            Mae all -

Just a quick hello... I am very boring. Just 7 hours of work today, whew, felt like a short day! I have now done a lot of work ahead so that I can get my part out the door and stop all this reactive nonsense. I SO have the heart of a sole-preneur, this "Team" stuff is not for me, endless meetings and re-dos... Once and Done, my motto. Hopefully the rest of them will get there pretty soon.

Lav, loved the pics of the 3 kids... wow, that seems just like yesterday when you first posted it... take care - I'm glad the chickens are be ing cautious, I hope the awnings help...

Mick, so glad for your walk... those hills are gorgeous. Bravo in the kitchen - just beautiful, and you are right about the way you paint, it looks warm and cared-for. It sounds like the Polar Vortex is going to split - we northerners are going to have an interesting rest of the winter...

PPQ - do anything except watch the news! I haven't turned on the TV since Christmas... but I have read dozens of article about the Capitol horrors... reading is enough for me... I can stop myself when it gets to be too much. Hope you enjoyed your movie.

Sending lots of good wishes to all else - Pauly, how's the household? Det, how's the move coming? Sam, what's up in youhills and dales?
