    Re: 17th Jan

    Good evening friends,

Yes, we are all breathing easier today, we have an adult back in the White House. I haven’t heard of any disturbances so I guess everything went as planned.
We have all been thru a lot of trauma the past 4 years, time to heal!

PQ, hope you got a chance to enjoy the outdoors. The few times I was outside today it was super windy & super cold. It’s below freezing now, things are changing for sure.
I am feeling much better now that 45 is out of the way. I do hope they convict his a$$ & toss him in jail.

    Sam, hello to you.

Pauly, I’ve been thinking of you all day. I remember your sister had some issues but didn’t know she was sick or was she? To pass so suddenly at a young age is unusual & sad too. Take good care of yourself & your family

Mick, I enjoyed your rain soaked garden pic followed by the layer of snow, oh boy!! Guess you are having a real winter there.
I hope Amy is feeling better, such a worry looking after our kids & our furkids.

Hello to Cyn, Det & Pie. Hope everyone is OK.

    Have a nice night all!
    Lav

      Mae all -

Oh dear Pauly, I am sending you hugs... and lots of support. Please take good care of yourself in the middle of all this...

Mick, nooooooo about Amy! I hope it is a mild case, but either way, she won't be feeling very well for awhile... good luck to her...

Lav, I was thinking of your son today... I am such a work hermit that i didn't know about the event last night, and I was too worried about the inauguration to watch it live... I'm sure there are videos out there... So glad that your son is safe.

PPQ, we had a very unusual day today - snow out of nowhere on and off. Sunny snow, windy snow, dark cloud snow... crazy. But I liked it... hope your storm doesn't turn out to be rough...

Tired from long days of work... I gave my boss my hours from last week - 7 days of work, 51 hours. So I wasn't imagining things. I think things will start to get better,
... but then I always think that!

Loving the longer days, and the liquid beautiful quality of the light... be careful out there, all...

Hello to Sam, Det and all others popping in... best wishes to all...

hiya all ...apologies for not being around yesterday ,but with all the celebs going on ,I doubt I was missed!!yesterday was a beaut ...I have never seen the garden so flooded and I am on a hill!I was at once stage brushing it off the grass down the hill a bit .The grass has over time sunk about 3 inches ..brought the rabbits into the garage ,then when it was time to put them in their outside hutch the garden light blew ,so ended up chasing them thru snow and flood water .I watched the inauguration yesterday ..you deserve better than you had ...I wrote a poem ..it is titled "America" if you go to the general section on here you will see it ..It reflects definitely my view and a lot more of the worlds .Amy not so bad today tho still not keeping food down.

Hiya treegirl,51 hrs..thats a fair whack! You take care of yourself!!you are needed here!

hiya Lav ,yep it was good to watch the inauguration, hopefully you will rise above the chaos caused by the last incumbent ..my record collection has grown a bit more ..I also bought some blue tooth headphones .I take it there were no dramas in DC and your lad was ok .

hiya Sam he man ...hope all is well with you n yours mate

hello pauly how are you feeling today ?Its difficult ,Iknow ,but stay with us ,stay positive good friend

hello ppqp ..how are you then ?its lovely outside you say? yep thats exactly my thoughts as I swam down the garden earlier .

a big hello to everyone else ..take care all

One of the saddest moments in my life was being left at the altar.
        Worst baptism ever.....

        Day one:

Biden puts thousands of bricklayers out of work.

Now that Donald Trump is no longer President, he's looking forward to spending less time on the golf course.

Arsenal have allowed Greek centre back, Sokratis Papastathopoulos, to leave the club on a free.

A member of the board said, "It's not that he was a bad player, it just wasn't worth the aggro trying to get his name to fit on the back of his shirt".

I suppose I got what I deserved for punching my mates lights out.
        Electrocuted.......

Trump dies and gets to limbo where God and Satan are kicking sh.t out of each other,

"What's going on with the boys, why are they fighting? " Asked Trump.

"It's you, " said the soul collector, "neither of them want you. "

My neighbour just banged on the wall at 4.20am, can you believe that? Lucky I was still up playing music.
He banged and shouted, "can we have a little respect please?"
So I shouted back, "I am not a big Aretha franklin fan but this ones for you".

Now that Trump's out of a job he doesn't know what to do next.

        MC, Donald?

          morning all
well a sigh of relief seeing the dumpster leave but boy did he screw this country and left it a mess. Not sure where we heading but it feels like a grown up took the wheel of an out of control car away from the immature raging teenager.

Lav, the egg laying has really picked up this month.
TG, 51 hours is a bit of time. Hope you're getting plenty of sleep!
Mick, sounds like you're in the swamp lands. How much rain this year so far? Hope Amy is doing better.
Pauly, thinking of you and your family.
PQ, how are you doing? yep, there's a lot to look at after 4 years and yet unfortunately it ain't all just him, there's 70 million morons in this country running around. That's equally disturbing.

off to feed and get rocking

          hello to everyone

Mae everybody, Mick I read both your poems and you did a great job watched the inauguration and it was lovely, while Biden wasn't my favorite candidate he's a helluva lot better than DT who as I had mentioned seemed "over it" anyways, think he just loved the ego boost of all his worshipers, I'm hoping for nothing but the best in the next four years but as Sam said, what a mess he has to clean up! Lav, Chris had downs syndrome and was born with heart and lung problems, she did live alot longer than the docs had told my parents so I'm using that angle to help me through, she gave us many, many years of joy and the best hugs you'd ever get in your life, always smiling just a beautiful soul,, my brother said my dad is doing better and has been going over for dinner so that's fantastic news, PQ, yep the emotional rollercoaster is awful, Cyn, you are such a busy woman! Take care of yourself too, much love to the gang and wishes for a great BF Thursday for us all
I have too much shit to do today and tomorrow to drink:sohappy:

I'm taking care of the "tomorrow me"
Drinkin won't help a damn thing! Will only make me sick for DAYS and that ugly, spacey dumb feeling-no thanks!

              Re: 17th Jan

              Greetings friends,

I was really looking forward to a good night’s sleep after yesterday’s safe inauguration but that didn’t happen, haha. Probably the moon working it’s magic again, ho hum.
Keeping busy beginning to build up my inventory for this year’s craft shows but taking my time.

Cyn, Wow you are working way TOO much, ugh. I can’t keep my brain on anything that long any more. Adult onset ADD after a head injury is no joke, haha but I do my best.
Don’t let yourself get run down & sick please  I am enjoying the extra daylight, the chickens are too. We haven’t had any snow here since last month, lucky you.

Mick, hope things have dried out quite a bit for you. It might be time to get the bunnies some swimming lessons!!
I know our kid had to go right back to work today so I guess it all turned out OK for them. I was a bit concerned yesterday. Hope Amy is feeling better very soon.

Sam, glad egg production is picking up for you. I have a fridge in the garage full of eggs right now, just need some takers.
There’s plenty of those 70b million morons living right here near me, ugh.

Pauly, I hope you & your family are doing OK. You have very good memories of your sister, hold them close
We will all be thinking of you!

Hello to PQ, Det & Pie!

I was kind of enraged hearing today that there was actually no vaccination plan as well as no reserved stock of vaccines. Thanks TRump
He truly did not give a fu*k about anyone but himself. What an awful human.

Hope everyone has a good night!

                Mae all -

Wow Mick, that sounds very very wet and uncomfortable... how did the bunnies take it? Thank you as always for your poems. Good to hear about Amy, hope she's mending...

Lav, oh sorry about the sleep... remarkably, last night we (dog and I) got through 7 hours with no getting up! Good Zander... best night's sleep I've had in ages. I needed it. Hang in there!

Pauly, it was so nice to read about your sister... she sound like a loving and gentle soul... I'm glad she stayed she stayed on earth a bit longer than was expected... and glad to hear your Dad is okay for now. Big virtual hugs to you.

Sam, let's hope those "other" folks either have the lightbulb go on in their heads, or give it up... one can always hope.

PPQ, how's the weather now? We are having days that seem like they are fall, winter and spring all in 24 hours...

Det - best of luck with all you are doing...

Hello to all and anyone else...

                Enjoy the light -

Fact of the day... there have been 2 different American presidents since Liverpool last scored a goal!

"No 10 takes relaxed view as Biden removes Churchill bust from Oval Office"

They won't be so relaxed when the realised he's replaced it with one of Xi Jinping.

I was warned that if I don't wear a mask, I'd have to wear a mesh face covering.

I'm not sure if it's true or just a veiled threat.

I read somewhere that 6.7% of people have an alcohol problem, and I couldn't help thinking, "6.7%...that would make a pretty strong beer."

At the underground Halloween party we went to last year, my fat wife painted herself all in green so she could be a "sexy little fairy" like Tinkerbell.

She waddled out of there nearly in tears when everyone immediately referenced her as "The Incredible Bulk" and also as Shreck

                    Re: 17th Jan

                    MAE ALL…

Mick…you need a squeegee like the big long one we have for the tennis courts. I’m glad it’s not raining today, you need a break. I laughed when I read “a dry day”. The government has put out new public ads telling people they need to incorporate “drydays” into their week to give their liver a break. I bet liquor board has seen a huge increase in sales. That kitchen window is fairly new isn’t it? With the amount of rain you’ve had I’m not surprised you have to reseal it. I sympathize with Amy, we both know what back pain is like. Hope she feels better soon. Bright and sunny outside but the temp has dropped to 12F and going down to -2F tonight. We’re not supposed to get a lot of snow with this event so that’s a plus.

Lav…it does feel like you have an adult back in the White House even if the first thing he did was piss off Alberta. Our Premier went out on a limb when he spent 1B dollars on the Keystone pipeline and now he wants to blame everyone but himself because Biden cancelled it. We all knew that was coming. It’ll be interesting to see what the Senate does on Monday I hope they decide to convict. Sorry the non-sleep continues, darn moon. Good for you working on your craft sale inventory, wonder if we’ll actually put one on this year.

TG…got the whole gambit of snow on Wednesday did you? We’ve had days like that too. We also get all seasons in a 24hr period. I’m thinking were more into cold weather than stormy days, I can live with that for a short while. Wow…51 hours and I thought I did a lot of overtime. I hope things start to get better soon. Jealous of your 7 hour sleep Wednesday night. Hand to look up Zander, still not sure what it means. LOL.

Sam…immature raging teenager…I put him more at a spoiled 2 year old. You’re right about the 70 million morons running around, I’m still worried for you guys about things to come. Hopefully Biden can start calming things down.

Pauly…thank you for sharing about your sister, it sounds like everyone has a special relationship with her. Being grateful for the years of joy is definitely the way to think about it. I’m glad your Dad is doing better.

Det…I can just imagine how busy you are. Hope everything is going ok and you don’t have too many hurdles to jump. Looking forward to hearing all about your new digs.

Pi…you’ve been on my mind a lot lately. I hope all is well with you. Check in when you get a chance.

Had a tough time forcing myself to work yesterday (unlike TG) so I had better get back at it. Hope we all have peaceful day….:smile:PPQP

                      Good evening friends,

Slept a tad bit better last night but I’m still running low on energy, oh well!
I did make a huge pot of mushroom soup so we’ll stay fed. We had a mix of clouds & sun & the temp is starting to drop getting ready for snow on Monday followed by rain & ice, yuck.

Cyn, I imagine Zander is tired too if he’s trying to keep up with you, Lol. Glad you two finally got some sleep
Make sure you schedule some ‘me’ time this weekend.

Mick, with all that moisture you are going to. Have a super green spring, that’s for sure.
I hope Amy starts feeling better soon, it’s sad when young folks get knocked down hard like that. Good luck with your window sealing. We haven’t had any issues like that, the windows will be 18 years old this summer, so far so good.

PQ, I have to tell you i don’t know a single person who thinks the pipeline was a good idea. Communities have been fighting it in court for years. One elementary school was getting ready to vacate their building because of the fear of harm to the young kids. It just wasn’t a good idea at all.
The latest news says they are delaying Trumps congressional hearing until early February to give him time to create a defense, haha. Hope the rest of your day went well.

Hello to Pauly, thinking of you

Mae everybody, Mick I was just gonna ask how Any and her boyfriend were doing, my coworker had the back pain, as a matter of fact before she got tested she was making us put pain patches on her back at work, I feel like I've seen waaaayyy too much of that woman's body haha, Brady's friend had leg pain that would keep him up when he had covid, what a strange illness that does weird shit. People need to be more on guard than ever in my opinion, I've noticed alot of "relaxing" the rules since the vaccine became available and we need to give that time, it's not a cure all and this isn't over yet, Kells boyfriends mom is still waiting on her test results, PQ, I think about Pie too especially when there was that explosion on Christmas, think that's where she is? Nashville, or something close, Det wonder if you're already in Utah? Lav, glad you slept a bit better, it's really hard with all that's gone on, that k goodness for unisom in my case but I feel dependant on it and I don't know how to not take it, they say it's not good long term, much love to all and wishes for a great BF Saturday for us all! Shout-out to Cyn and Zander!

hiya ppqp how are you then today? Hope you are ok...Is that the pipeline everyone was complaining about?yes we have dry months over here ...not days ...obviously we drink more than Canadia we need months not days ..tho my recollections of it dont back that up ..Calgary ,Batus ,the Sin bin and the Princess Pats barracks ..You could hire out dry days ...for those that drink ..you can do a dry day in their name ...for a fee.Yep I wondered where Pi went .

right peeps have a great weekend .

I saw a sign in the park saying, "If your dog does a poo, pick it up."

I'm not sure I can do it.

My Great Dane is fcking heavy.

                            this one wasnt mine!!!

A new study shows that men and women have different food cravings. Men prefer meat while women prefer sweets. Researchers believe this dates back to cave man days when men would go hunt while women just sat on their fat arses eating chocolate all day.

"Hi Pete, I'm glad I've run into you. I'm organising a stag do for Dave, we're off to Amsterdam. I dont want the details public so Insta and Facebook are out - I'll send you the details on Messenger."

                            "I don't have Messenger."

"Tell you what, I'll meet you at the clock in the town square on Saturday at 12 noon to give you the details."

"Cool. Bring them in a letter."

I always said that if I ever won on the lottery that I would share it with you all on here.

So I'd just like to share that I've won on the lottery

I passed the river the other day and this guy asked me if his rod looked good. He then asked if I liked his net. Then asked if I was impressed by the amount of fish had caught.

Then I twigged. He was fishing for compliments.
af since the fourth of July 2012...howzat then America..now proudly marching into year 12

                              MAE ALL...

Lav...that pipeline has been a contentious issue for over a decade now. Trust 45 to approve an executive order. Now our premiere gets to act like a little baby. Hope your sleep was better again, little by little we can all strive to hit TG's 7hrs. LOL

Pauly...I see the same thing over here with people thinking the vaccine is here we can all relax now. I think it's just as well that our supply has been cut off from the manufacturer for 2 weeks, that should wake everyone up again. I'm happy to continue staying put for now. I'm not sure where Pi is now but I do wish she'd check in.

Mick...No snow here, YAY, just cold. Seems we're easing into the deepfreeze but hey I don't have to be anywhere so bring it on. I think it's funny you couldn't wait for your neighbour and put the fence post in yourself. Julie must have been working or she would have put a stop to it. The drinking scene sure has changed since you were here last. It's a good thing, I don't know where we would have ended up. The cat video was cute, just as long as they don't jump for the TV. I've seen that in some videos. Hope Amy improves quickly.

Caught myself logging into work this morning then quickly shut it down. Forgot it was Saturday. LOL Been a quiet day with a bit of cleaning and organizing, nothing too strenuous. Shout out to the rest of the gang....:smile:PPQP

                                Good evening Abbers,

Freaking freezing here today, geez. Very windy too making it even worse!
Other than taking care of the chickens I have no need to be outside, thank goodness.

Cyn, hope you are in. The middle of a super relaxing weekend

PQ, thanks for the cold air - geez, haha!! Staying inside is #1 on my list this weekend.
Can’t remember the last time I slept a straight 7 hours. Not even sure what decade it was, haha!! That pipeline business caused so much destruction with people’s yards & streets caving in forcing them sometimes to move. I just wish it would all disappear.

Pauly, when you take any OTC sleep aid it’s always good to take a night off every so often. In the long term care facilities it was illegal to give people sleeping pills (of any sort) more than 10 days in a row. So they had to skip a night every now & then, gives the liver a chance to metabolize all that stuff. Sleeplessness is SO common as we age even when we are careful about caffeine intake, getting some fresh air & exercise, staying away from blue light before bed time, etc.. We have to learn to live with it until a cure is found I guess. For some reason i thought Pie was in Texas. Keep wearing your mask & insist everyone around you to do the same. It’s way too soon to stop.

Mick, I hope the cats enjoyed the programming, haha! So you went ahead & did the fencing yourself - how not unusual for you, LOL
So you had snow again, we get ours on Monday. I can wait, haha!!

Hello to Det, hope you are settling in OK.
Hi t o Sam & the missing Pie.

                                Have a good evening everyone!
