I’ve only been outside to water my plants & tend to the chickens. Definitely not a summer girl, haha!!

Mick, I didn’t realize you were going away again so soon - good for you! Hope you have a great trip & really decent weather.
I told YB he should put the snake skin up for sale on ebay - some weirdo would probably love to add it to his collection, LOL
I do have an order for a custom pillow for someone from the fair & will get to that tomorrow. Hoping for a bigger turnout at the next in late August.

Cyn, sorry to hear you are working so long & hard. Hope you get caught up soon & can kick back a little.
The full moon is over & I’m still not sleeping for some reason, oh well.

Quick late post... worked my poor eyes out checking and re-writing copy for the Program Book... but then got a quick paddle on the water after inflating the kayak... also did a little walk, so got some (hot) fresh air.

Hope all is well for everyone - Pauly, would sure be great to hear from you... hope work is good for you Det... having a tiny time off, PPQ? Mick, sounds great for you to go adventuring - Lav, try to stay cool - how's the BP?

Lav...I'm not even popping out to water. We are headed to 98F today and even hotter by the end of the week. This heatwave isn't supposed to break until Sunday. This is unheard of. At least we don't have to deal with humidity. Hope you get a better turn out for your August fair. It's a lot of work to organize and set up for those. I did shut off the computer for the weekend, I had just had enough and didn't even want to hear from anyone.

TG...I hear you about re-writing copy for the Program Book. I've been re-writing our Terms & Conditions and Facility Rental Agreements. Got to the point where I was just going in circles. So yup, did take a tiny time off. Nice that you were able to get out on the water. I certainly didn't even attempt a walk in this heat.

I’m trying to be patient with the B/P readings, at least I’m feeling better, haha. Nigh time readings are hanging in the 150s/80’s range so not bad. Should be lower but then again the age of my arteries could be part of the equation. Arteriosclerosis runs in the family despite my efforts to eat healthy. My latest LDL was only 68!!!! Hope all is well with you

PQ, it is too hot out to walk anywhere. I run out to the chickens for a few minutes then right back into the house. Can’t handle the heat!!
Glad you had the weekend to yourself for a change. The west coast isn’t used to dealing with this heat either, they don’t have AC in their homes in Washington & Oregon. I think they are going to have to rethink that with global warming catching up with us, sadly.

Mick...Ravenglass looks wonderful and of course you found a train. LOL You're going to have to explain going flying owls for your birthday. I expect pictures. During the meeting today the boss said he can't believe it's been a year, he feels like he's done nothing. My response was I can't believe it either and I've been swamped! Got all my rental contracts send out today only to realize I forgot to attach the Terms & Conditions. Oh well, nobody's perfect.

Lav...I can't believe this heat! Our overnight low Wednesday is supposed to be 80F, grateful for my A/C and glad I'm not having to go into work. I hope your feathered friends are holding up ok.

Mae all, same song, second verse... sleepy tonight. Actually I feel like I never really woke up! Just went from from tired to sleepy...
It was even 90 here up,at 7,000 ft... crazy days... what can we do? I feel we must do something... but what...?

Mick, the Lake District looks heavenly... a wonderful place for a birthday celebration! In Devon we were supposed to go falconing, but it didn't work out... maybe just as well... not sure I could have coped with the "prize." Looking forward to hearing about that.

hidy ho ABerooooonies!

it was so nice to have an 'unplug' overnighter up in the mountains this past weekend at Darlene's boss's place. it's his weekend getaway and super nice.
thankfully the weather here has been pretty mild and up at 9K feet it got wonderfully cold at night as the kiddos roasted marshmallows and I traped around
looking for animal pictures. Got a couple ok'ish ones:

I think some of the bird pics are of kestrels but I'm not certain.

got the wee one enrolled in some math tutoring last night and there wasn't even a screaming fit. wow! things are perking up in some good ways i'm happy to say.

hiya all ...just got in....went for a 5 mile walk earlier and on the way home got stuck in a just over 2 hour traffic jam ..!!honestly some folk must have got their licences in lucky bags .at the end when I got through ...it was roadworks with faulty lights .was feeling weary and that never helped ...so I need to get the tea on ..plus its the England Germany match on telly so everyone has left early ....as a Scot who should I support .....quick clue .....

I think I’ve had enough summer already, geez! The temp inside the greenhouse hit 101 today with the doors & windows open & fan running in there. I feel sorry for the plants in there.

PQ, glad you’re caught up with work even if it is missing a detail or two. I’ve been running ice & cool snacks out to the chickens, so far they are OK. Tomorrow is supposed to be the last day of this heatwave, I sure hope so anyway.

Cyn,. Surprised to hear it’s gotten hot where you are, wow! I guess there’s no escaping the heat for most of the country.
Our politicians need to get serious about climate change.

Det, I just have to say that I wore green eye shadow back in the 70’s when everyone else was wearing blue, haha! My eyes are green so it just made sense.

TG...I guess nobody is escaping this heat. I hope all the politicians wake up and get serious about climate change. Today was a bit frustrating with the prog coord, biting my tongue not to say I've answered that question 3 times already, are you not listening!

Lav...most of our farmers crops are now burnt and I won't even go over to the community garden. We've still got 4 days of this heat! We actually beat the high temp for Las Vegas. Unbelievable. I've got a Dr.'s appointment tomorrow, my foot is still swelling and now there's a red rash forming above the ankle. I suspect I may have an infection and might need antibiotics. I'm a little surprised as I have been paying attention to my feet after the last scare I had.

Still hot & humid here but it ends tomorrow, thank goodness. I don’t even care about the storm warnings, anything to end this messy weather is fine with me.
Celebrated our 48th anniversary with a burger at Applebees this evening, haha. I have no appetite for fancy food these days. Nice to just go out!

hot hot hot ...its a scorcher today ..the fires have started over here on the moors too ...nothing like Canada though .been to fill up today ..half a tank ..in your language 130 dollars ..
