Re: 19th Dec
Greetings friends,
We did A Christmas gift drop off on their front porch this afternoon. Texted my grandson & he opened the door & got everything right in, haha. He looks pretty good & I’m grateful for that.
We will be doing our own home tests in the morning so I can let my daughter know if it’s safe to drive out tomorrow. I sure hope so. Still chilly here, supposed to be a damp Christmas, no snow.
Cyn, glad you’re taking the trip as easy as possible. We just want to know you’re safe.
It’s been such a harsh year I really hope you can gather with family & relax a bit once you arrive. Stay safe
Mick, I’m keeping my fingers crossed for some drier weather for your getaway. Thanks for the video
PQ, yep, that’s the Herrs factory. You drive thru all the windy roads on their campus & get to see all the pretty lights without doing any of the work, haha!
I’m sorry your son is having such a difficult time right now. Holidays can make small things look much bigger than they really are. Helping him get in touch with someone he can talk to is a great idea.
Sorry you couldn’t get your booster. We were able to make online appts at Walgreens for ours, made it pretty easy. Maybe something will open up for you next week.
Hello to Pauly & Det, Sam & PIe.
Hope everyone has a nice night!

Re: 19th Dec
MAE ALL...
Cooler today and temps are continuing to drop. It started snowing around noon and hasn't stopped. It's the light fluffy kind and is making everything glisten. Deep freeze sets in tonight and will be here for at least a week.
Lav...I'm glad your grandson was looking good when he picked up the gifts, that's should ease your mind. Hope your rapid tests are negative tomorrow so you all can get together. I definitely prefer the snow to your damp weather, but then again I don't have to go anywhere. Son came down and apologized for the ranting and raving. I think it helped him to get all those feelings out. He and his brother have done a lot of talking today and from what I've heard it's been very positive. The whole house is a lot calmer today. Supposedly new shipments arrived for the vaccine today so I will see when I can get in for my booster.
TG...continuing to send you positive vibes for your trip. Hope everything is going ok.
Wishing Mick, Pi, Sam, Det, QW and Pauly a peaceful evening....:smile:PPQP

Re: 19th Dec
Good evening friends,
We test. Ed negative this morning so our daughter & her family came out. Had a good time, good dinner & they are back at home now. Got the news that son is also positive & he’s had 3 shots. It’s going to get all of us sooner or later.
PQ, glad your son calmed down & is working thru his problems. Sorry about all the snow but you can stay home for a few days, right?
Getting the booster is apparently a big deal so I hope you can get yours soon.
Mick, I hope you two have a Merry Little Christmas in your van & I hope the rain clears out once & for all!
Pauly, sorry about your daughter’s positive test. We are all being forced to change plans so you’re not alone. Hang in there!
QW, hello to you & Merry Christmas!
Cyn, hope you are resting safe for the night.
Hello to Det, Sam & Pie & anyone else dropping in.
Have a nice night all!

Re: 19th Dec
Happy Christmas to all today!
I arrived at my brother and SIL's house on the 23rd... sorry to be out of touch - things are hopping. On the road, I read 2 health articles from the Atlantic magazine, and got very concerned about how this holiday would work, if it was a good idea to join family, etc. Lav, as you said now it is a more a question of When, not If we may have a breakthrough infection. But I had grabbed rapid tests before I left the east, so I tested every day as I traveled, and all were negative... so I feel better about not exposing anyone. But the incubation on the Omicron is really hard to work with, things can turn on a dime. So we 3 will do rapid tests this morning before heading an hour away to my neice's house (with her 3 teenage girls) we'll be having a distanced meal... we could almost be outside, as it is supposed to be 60 F today!? Kind of weird...
Mick, your holiday seems great - hope you get sunshine - enjoy!
Lav, so glad you are negative - good luck to the family members. Don't wear yourself out today! Good idea on the present "drop".
PPQ, that was a heart-breaking story about your son... I'm glad he seems to have turned the corner - wishing you a peaceful holiday, and sending good vibes for luck getting your booster...
Pauly, so sorry to hear about LB... I wonder when/if our holidays will ever return to "Normal". Just keep yourself safe, okay? Get the booster if you haven't- we need you healthy! Good luck with this strange holiday...
QW, thank you for the reminder of the Great Gift that we give ourselves and others in our Sobriety.
Det, Sam, and all others dropping by, wishing you a safe and beautiful holiday.
Cheers all -

Re: 19th Dec
Merry Christmas friends,
Cloudy& damp with temps in the mid-60’s, definitely not Christmas weather.
We did a late morning food drop off at our son’s house so they have some tasty treats. I think everyone is OK there.
Mick, glad you have been able toget out & about in the mud, haha!
My daughter bought me a pair of sneakers that are seriously comfortable, I may get back to walking myself.
Cyn, I’m so happy to hear you made your destination safely. Enjoy the time with your family. You deserve some good rest
I did absolutely nothing today & it was glorious, haha!
Pauly, I hope your daughter feels better soon. This virus really needs to disappear. I hope the boys were happy today
PQ, hello & a Merry Christmas to you. Hope your day was wonderful.
Hello to the rest & wishing a nice night for all!
