Re: the 7 and 20th March....

    Evening greetings friends,

Awaiting severe storms, possible tornadoes too, oh boy.
Didn’t have the nerve to turn on any of my machines today, let alone the ancient Windows 98 computer that runs them. Power surges would finish off that computer in an instant & I can no longer get a replacement. New embroidery software would cost me upwards of $20,000 & I won’t invest in that at this point. So, I’m just putzing around finding things to keep me busy, Lol

Mick, I sure hope you feel better soon, Julie too. I could have sworn we had Covid the week of Christmas but we tested negative too. That same week my son & one of his sons were positive. So who knows how this thing works
The snow in your pic actually looks pretty but I know that’s not what you want at this point. It went up to 70 degrees here today after several days of below freezing temps. No wonder people are getting sick.
You have your new door to look forward to so that’s good.

Hello to PQ, Cyn, hope you are both well.
Pauly, Det & Sam, hello as well.

    Have a nice night everyone!

      Mae all...

Mick...well that totally sucked. Poor Julie, what a disappointment for her last day. I hope she's doing ok. I don't trust those rapid tests, wait 1/2 hour, test again, get different result. If you feel like rubbish you probably have a mild case of it. Hope everyone else in your circle is ok. So my snow finally arrived eh? See the sun makes all the difference doesn't it. LOL

Lav...yes, thank you for letting us know about Mick and Julie, I always wonder when he doesn't post. OMG I hope you don't get any tornados. Wise choice not to run any of your machines, better safe than sorry. $20K for the new software is outrageous. Pamper that Windows 98.

Down to one last project before I can put together an E-newsletter to mail out to 600 of our members. Boss is taking the day off so I'm not going to answer the phone or look at email until I'm finished. I'll have to look at the schedule but I think a day off next week is in order.

Hope everyone has a good night.....:smile:PPQP

          morning all
looks like we dodged the bullet here, storms were to the west but it was quite the light show in the distance. Really didn't get squat for rain. Old man time keeps moving along.... seems like March was a blink of an eye. April 1st was always a memorable day for my old man, liberated from prison camp. I sure feel for those caught up in the latest shit fest, I cannot understand how anyone wants this type of destruction and yet here we are.

We been working on a cd for about 2 years and looks like we're finally putting the finishing touches. Its taken so long to complete and we now play these tunes differently so its funny to hear how we played them 2 years ago. Anyway all for fun as we are amateurs and we recorded at a home studio, learning the software, etc.

well, off to work and play!
          be well good friends

Re: the 7 and 20th March....

            Friday evening greetings friends,

All sunny today after yesterday’s heavy rain, little lightning & zero tornadoes, thank goodness. The worst of the storm landed northeast of here & they did have one tornado. We definitely lucked out this time.
Went to the dentist re 2nd broken tooth in the past 6 weeks or so. He got in there & killed the root & sent me home with a temporary filling. Will be going back on the 26th to have the tooth prepped for another crown. I now own more crowns than most people, haha!! I really think, at this point I have exceeded my warranty, Lol

PQ, sorry about the snow but at least it’;s spring snow now, right?
The embroidery software is so expensive because it does so much & it’s a huge program. I never thought I’d still be messing with this stuff when I started all this back in 2003. Paying for all that once was enough, not doing it again. My current Windows 98 box was built by a genius friend of ours several years ago when I needed a new one & you couldn’t buy them anywhere. I know this one is the absolute last.
I think scheduling a day off next week sounds like a great idea, do it

Mick, concentrate on getting better so you guys can really enjoy your trip to Scotland.
I hope yo get a negative test result.
I think Putin has lost the last of his tiny mind & I really hope one or more of his countrymen decide to ‘take care of him soon’.

Sam, we got the rain up here but no flooding or anything. We actually have been a bit short on rain totals the past month.
Congrats on the CD, yay! That’s great news & I hope you’re all having a lot of fun putting it together.

            Cyn, hope you’re OK.

Hello to Pauly & Det, hope you are well.

            Have a nice night all!

Re: the 7 and 20th March....

Hello all and how are we today then? Hope everyone is doing ok. We got our test results back last night Julie's is positive mine is negative. She is convinced that I had it over the last couple of weeks and passed it on because the symptoms she has got what a more or less exactly the same as what I had. I do not accept responsibility! She feels a bit rough today, this is the fourth day, she has block up nose sore head and a gunky throat and aching. That's normal for me haha. Frost over here last night, it hit quite a few of the plants especially the camellia. Dry over here today not very sunny however and pretty cool. Hope everyone is doing ok, I'm going to do a little bit on the railways today day keeps me busy and out of the road give Julia chance to get up and Potter about in the house. I think I visit to the dentist next week is an order as well, despite trying to hang on for it as long as possible I think it is time that me and the wisdom tooth parted company. Take care everyone hope you have a great weekend wherever you are and whatever you are doing. A big hello to everyone else out there. Stay safe

Re: the 7 and 20th March....

                Good evening friends,

Sunny but quite chilly today so it was another inside day for me. Got a few things done, here & there. I think we’re in for rain tomorrow, oh well.

Mick, unfortunately Covid symptoms are almost identical to colds & other respiratory infections, even allergies except with Covid you usually have fever. Julie should be getting through the worst of it soon. I feel bad that happened on her final day at work, bummer
With the both of you being retired you’re going to have to learn how to share the house again, haha, stay out of each other’s way, etc. One thing I made clear to YB was that he was NOT to plan my day for me!! That’s so annoying when someone makes plans assuming you have nothing on your To Do list haha!!

Hello to the rest of the crowd & wishing everyone a nice night!
