    Re: June 26

    MAE ALL...

Well it's the long weekend :yay: Canada Day tomorrow, hope there isn't a bunch of protests! Had a great afternoon playing bridge.

Lav...that's so you, multitasking. LOL Glad you survived your hike and what's with the younger grandson? Too bad he missed his fish & chips. That's funny that he texted you after the fact and wanted to go. That's very kind of you to invite him along on your anniversary plans.

Mick...glad you're getting some nice weather and that your hat is duly perched. LOL I have actually been to Cornwall and Penzance so your trip is bringing back lovely memories of my twin. I put my ghost story aside for now, just not in the right mood for it. When I get back into it, probably this weekend, I'll update you with more information.

Thinking of TG....hope your trip is going smooth and Pauly....hope you're getting some peace or at least coping. Shout out to the rest of the gang.
    Have a great night all....:smile:PPQP

      Good evening friends,

Survived another 3 mile walk with grandson #2 today, haha. Longwood is busy with lots of people visiting & lots of construction going on but it’s always pleasant. Fed him at Applebees afterwards & now he’s waiting for one of us to drive him home.

Mick, glad. You got the sunshine & warm temps I sent your way . Good job on the hat too, haha!
      Keep on enjoying yourselves.

PQ, happy long weekend to you! Any big plans or just taking it easy for a change?
At least I know the boys have had a good meal this week, their mother does not cook. My son is the chief cook & bottle washer in that house haha.

Hello to cyn & Pauly, thinking of you both.

Hello to Det & Sam, stop in why don’t you?

      Have a nice night friends,
      Lav

        Re: June 26

Mae all - long days here, will explain all that later. I just cleaned the apartment, vacuumed and am doing one last load of laundry. I’m taking pretty bare minimum of things... we’ll see how that works out. Just really tired of schlepping things around.

Mick, you are bring back so many memories of my Cornwall hike! We saw the gardens in Penzance and ate at the little cafe there. Mostly I remember staggering into Mousehole (pronounced “Mowzel” for those of on this continent) on the last day if the hike. I’ll never forget those particular cliffs and the tiny trail at the end. But what a glorious experience, I would love to do it again...

Lav, always busy, always generous! You are doing a good job of getting the boys out and away from their phones, congrats. The new display at Longwood sounds interesting... I hope you get some good rest in the middle of all this!

PPQ, you sound like things are plugging along... I hope all stays good and positive for you. Also hoping that you had a good Canada Day! Take care —

I’ll have more time to share new stories after tomorrow and when I get on the road... at this point I have to stay focused...

Pauly, sending Comfort your way, and lots of Care...

Cheers to all dropping by - May we be well -

          Re: June 26

          good morning,
Pauly, I'm so sorry, please take extra good care of yourself.

I had a bit of a scare, heart attack, which got me a helicopter ride, and was discharged on my birthday. A week later, got into a wreck as someone pulled out in front of me, my truck was totaled and now trying to find a replacement. Dang, things are expensive! Got back to work this week but was at first a little gun shy of sticking my nose out the door.

well looks like there's an anniversary coming up, Mick, 10 years!!

          take care good friends

              Greetings friends,

Resting my feet & knees today after the last two days, haha. Just had a thunderstorm roll through but it didn’t take the humidity with it ugh.
Trying. To come up with a plan for a day trip with my granddaughter soon.

              Cyn, travel lightly & safely.
I want to do these things with the grandkids while I still can, haha! I am really enjoying their pre-teen views on things, very interesting talks while we walk.

Sam, I’m so sorry I hope you are OK now!!! Wow, so much drama to deal with in such a short time.
We have been looking at the cost of vehicles too, everything is very expensive & mostly not available. Good luck with that & please take good care of yourself. Are you going to outpatient cardiac rehabor anything?

Mick, thank you for all the great pics today. I almost feel like I’m on vacation too
Keep that head covered up & enjoy the rest of your trip!!

PQ, forgot to say Happy Canada day to you

Pauly, hoping you are doing as OK as possible right now

Hello to Det, what’s up with you?

              Have a peaceful night all!

                  MAE ALL...

I'm having a TG weekend, vacuuming, dusting, laundry and decluttering. LOL Yesterday brought heat, sun, rain, thunder, hail...rinse and repeat. Went on all day. Happy to say there was no big protest rallies to spoil things for people. Cooler today and expecting a repeat of yesterday and that's ok, getting lots done indoors.

TG...you give me the energy to get off my butt and gets things done so thanks for that. Hope you were able to stay focused and be safe on your travels.

Sam...you call a heart attack a bit of a scare! BTW happy belated birthday. And then to have your truck totaled! OMG, have you bought a lottery ticket lately? I bet you were a bit gun shy but glad you're back to work and hope everything settles down for you.

Lav...our little thunderstorms last a few minutes and create the humidity for us. Looks like it's going to be this way for a few days to come. You rest those feet & knees before venturing off again with your granddaughter. I'm sure you'll come up with a great plan.

Mick...glad the rain has moved on and you're having lovely weather today. I've never been to lost gardens of Heligan, actually never heard of them so looking forward to that adventure. Nice pics of the seal sanctuary, I had actually heard that about their whiskers. Glad you got enough head coverings, so now all you have to do is wear them.

Shout out to the rest of the gang. Have a good day all...:smile:PPQP

                    Re: June 26

                    Good evening friends,

Pouring like crazy here - approaching 2.5” & it’s still coming down hard, geez.
Closed up the doors on the chicken house before it started but they were all still standing there like dummies when the rain hit, oh well. Hopefully they figured it out, haha.

Mick, nice that it rained overnight so you didn’t have to miss anything today. Great pics of the seals & penguins.
Thundering right over the house at the moment, crazy.

PQ, got the cleaning bug huh? That happens with me now & then too. I start clearing out my stuff then YB usually follows clearing out his. Monkey see monkey do around here Lol
This storm doesn’t seem to want to go anywhere, yet! My feet & knees are thanking me today but i’m happy we got the boys out & moving. Ijust can’t stand the thought of them vegetating all day in the house. I never let my kids do that.

Sam, hope you are doing well & taking good care!

Cyn, hope you are safe wherever you are.

                    Pauly, love to you

Det, time for a check in……

                    Wishing everyone a nice night!

                      Mae all -

Sam!! What things you have been through!! I really hope that you are healing from the heart attack -- sound serious -- and that you have no bad issues from the auto accident. I think being wary of going out into the world and doing things is totally rational! please take time to heal - body, heart and mind... life is so precious...

Mick, loved all your pics - so wonderful that you share them with us. Here's hoping that today's visit to Land's End was good, and the weather not too hot. Very impressive that you walked and boated to The Mount... you two clearly know how to plan a trip!

Lav, here's hoping that you are well and busy (just not too busy). Same thing to you, PPQ!

I stayed overnight at my niece's last night (one hour closer to today's destination), so the drive was not too bad today. Except for a tire (tyre) sensor that told me my back left tire was low. I stopped and looked, searched for nails or punctures, nothing. And it looked just like all the other tires. So I kept checking and finally when I got to my destination this afternoon, a garage was still open and they took a look. All tires had the same pressure, so they think it is a bad sensor. Ah well, I'll keep checking just to make sure, but I do hope that's all that is wrong. I am in Laramie, Wyoming tonight. headed to Elko, NV tomorrow (a solid 9-hour drive) so I'm turning in early tonight to get good shut-eye. I'll leave early early in the morning... those morning hours go by so quickly! But i still plan to stop for an ice cream cone at Little America, WY, even if it it 8 AM! I have to keep up Zander's memory of eating ice cream...

Here's hoping that everyone is in good health and thriving... Pauly, every day I am thinking of you and sending support and comfort. Hang in there...

                      Cheers all -
