mae all ..howare we doing then? hope everyone is doing ok.well ,not going detecting today ,eventually went to bed about 1 ,managedto get Jeeves stabilised and eating again and his tummy working .the trouble is ,because he was a rescue ,no one actually knows how old he is ...our guess is 7 or 8 so he is getting on a wee bit .
bit blowy here today ,but very dry .no forecast of rain for a good while yet .

Still disgusting outside - I kid you not, haha!!!
I listened to the weather report this morning on TV & heard it’s 59 degrees in Bismarck which is on the other side of the country so it’s going to take 5 days to get here. I hope we don’t melt by then.
My little cat friend has become so friendly, she follows me around like a puppy. She had breakfast on the deck today, Lol. I’m still putting a bowl of food & water out near the meadow area for the 2 kittens. They don’t want anything to do with me but they clean out the food bowl daily.

PQ, glad the event went well for you yesterday & hope it brings you lots of future business. I just refilled my hummingbird feeders, they are extra hungry for some reason.
Sounds like your program coordinator needs some AD help. Hope she perks up a bit if she plans to return to work. Maybe with a little luck she’ll stay home.

Mick, I always freak out when YB drags more junk home, Lol. I make him keep that crap in his garage across the driveway haha!
Glad Jeeves is on the mend again. It’s hard keeping us senior citizens healthy & happy
We go through 1-2 tomatoes daily between lunch & dinner but any more than that can go in the compost pile. I’m not sweating over a hot, steamy canner to put the rest into jars - NOPE!

Hello everyone and how are we today then? Hope all is well well I lovely day here today, really sunny to the extent the sun shade is going out! Apparently the weather is going to be like this for the next few weeks, so the Flower Show and possibly Norfolk will be good. Didn't go detecting yesterday obviously, but from what I can see around the area there wasn't a lot found anyway.

Mick...so is 7 or 8 rabbit years the same as human years, or dog years? Glad you were able to get Jeeves stabilized again yesterday. I had a decent weekend and definitely didn't do as much tidying up as you did. Did you bring anything back from the flea market? It does sound like you'll have nice weather for the Flower Show and Norfolk. When do you head out?

Lav...weather got disgusting here too! I don't know, it was nice to have a break from the heat but now that it's back I have to get used to it all over again. It's going to be that way for the rest of the week. Ran into the prog coord yesterday at the grocery store. General conversation, how's it going resulted in not good, not good. Maybe she won't be back in September. I've got 1/2 my craft fair tables booked so now I'll be fretting over booking the rest. Going to try not to and if I don't fill all the tables I'll just rearrange the room. LOL I see you're green light is on and we'll probably cross post.

Good evening all,

Mick, there’s plenty of sunshine here but also way too much heat & humidity. One more day of this they say then we begin a cool down. I sure hope so!!!!!!
Luna the cat was waiting for me on the deck again this morning when i got up. She was sitting next to an empty food bowl haha! One of her kittens was with her but took off as soon as I opened the door. So I filled the bowl for Luna then walked down to the meadow area with another bowl for the ‘kids’. I’m doing some reading on feral cats & trying to decide what to do with them. Luna seems extremely friendly after hanging out here so long, so knows I will feed her. If I want her to stay around I’m going to have to trap her & get her to the vet for shots & spaying. Need to think so me more about that.
Nothing much else going on. Going to visit my daughter tomorrow while YB goes to his fire co. Meeting so that’ll be a nice change.

And good morning everyone how are we today then? Hope everyone is doing well. We are at start of a heat wave and health warning. Temperatures are supposed to reach 37 and 38 degrees but will get cooler over the weekend. Went for a walk yesterday enjoyed it but it was hard work I did 3 Hills. Amy comes back tonight from Italy it was only a short break but I think they needed it bearing in mind he hasn't had a holiday since before the pandemic and worked all the way through on the wards.

Hello everyone how are you today then question mark hope everyone is doing well. I can't stay on long Julie's dad has had a bit of a turn, so we are taking it in turns to go down the same and stay with him he is ok, it will probably worse to take him to the hospital it isn't life-threatening and he is comfortable. Apologies for the brevity of this post, but as you can no doubt see I am doing it on my phone! I also posted it yesterday however it never went through half of it went to the ether and the other half heaven knows where. My landed ok from her Milan flight, but it took almost 2 hours for the baggage handlers to get the luggage off at the airport she eventually got home at 2 a.m. full stop hope all is well take care we'll speak later

Mick...sorry to hear about Julie's Dad, you're probably right about him being better off at home, as long as it's not life threatening. 2 hours for luggage is pretty good considering all the horror stories I've heard about. We're still under heat warning here, the low tonight is 20C/68F, so grateful for my A/C. You take it easy and I hope things get sorted soon.

Lav...on top of the heat we're starting to get some of the smoke from the BC fires. I was hoping it would miss us with the slow start to the fire season but with all this heat here it comes. I hope it goes away as I have a week of outdoor tennis lessons starting on Monday and cancelling them is a hassle. Fingers crossed.

TG...has the music festival wrapped up? Hope you're getting some me time.

Sam...new or new to you truck yet? Hope the rehab is a positive for you.

Well the boss and accountant have managed to piss everyone off except me. They've been making changes to the benefits package (because of the prog coord) which doesn't effect me, I'm not on them. I'm covered under Alberta Senior Blue Cross which I don't pay a cent for. There are some perks to getting old. I just hope everyone hangs in and things settle down in September. There's been talk of quitting and that would make me very sad. I did run into the prog coord over the weekend and we had a brief conversation. Mainly how's it going? Oh, not good. Maybe she won't be coming back in September. Just keeping my head down and doing my job. I'm too old to be looking for another one. LOL

Still stinkin hot here, last night’s < that 1/4” of rain did nothing to help. Maybe tonight’s storm(s) will bring relief.
One of my young chickens died from the heat yesterday, she was in my arms when she died. I feel bad, she was not quite 6 months old yet. We really need a break.

Mae all - so sorry to be away... things have been very intense here, with an incredible project recording Orchestra pieces at the famous Skywalker recording studio here in California. More about that some time...

I am now doing “cleanup” work here in NV... getting all things settled so that I can truly say “goodbye” to this festival and separate my mind and soul from it... though I will always love it and appreciate the musicians, I won’t be continuing on as support personnel or worker anymore.

What does the future hold? I don’t know... so have been dealing with some big questions... trusting that all will become clear...

Happy to hear that all are plugging away, tomatoes are ripening, kitties are growing in trust, travel plans are working out...

I send wishes for easier weather and all good things - I hope to get back to posting regularly soon —
