Mae all how are we today then. All good? Very hot here today. I went for a walk over the moors first thing this morning..it was still misty.did 12 ks,was getting warm by the time I had finished. Came home to chill but didn't..ended up digging a hole for a washing line lining it and post mixing it.amy sent us a picture..she heard a noise in the chimney, and all of a sudden a pigeon came down covered in soot.it was weak so they washed it gave it water etc,rested it and released it. Van gets its fitness test on Tuesday

Sunday evening greetings kids!

Still nice weather here & I am enjoying every single moment knowing it won’t last forever.
I have to get a package ready to mail in the morning, a gift for my great niece & her new baby boy. Boy, does that ever make me feel old, haha!!!!

Cyn, I saw your post from last night, great to see you & Happy to hear you are taking charge of your own life I’m sure your neighbor will appreciate your organizational expertise.
Missing children, teens…..so sad & scary. I know my grandkids are starting to get out on their own a little bit (without parents). Talked with my daughter today who is experiencing a touch of separation anxiety herself. It’s hard to let them go on their own. I hope that poor girl is found OK.

Mick, nice you got your walk in before the heat of the day hit. If i wasn’t so lazy I’d do the same thing, Lol
I’ll bet Amy was surprised when the bird fell through the chimney. We’ve had that happen a few times & it’s always a scramble to rescue the bird before the dog or cat gets to it, poor things.
I take it your ‘fitness test’ is what we call our annual car inspections? I hope the van passes with flying colors

The second one is more about lighting and all the ancillary services. To make sure all gas electric hook ups all work.

Beautiful day here again (not bragging), haha! This feels like such a blessing after the massive heat we endured.
Glad your vehicle will be freshly inspected Mick so you can enjoy your trip peacefully. I hope you find better weather at your destination.
Luna the cat is as comfy as possible, hope she continues to hang around for a while. I don’t know if my dog will ever adjust but that’s her problem, not mine haha!

I posted yesterday :rant::rant: Garden Party turned out really good. Not everyone that said they would come showed up, their loss.

Mick...sorry the storm didn't alleviate any of the heat for you. We're back under the heat warning and it's just going to get hotter and hotter all week. I looked up what a cowl was, I never knew that's what they were called.

Lav...glad you're getting some relief from the heat, you deserve it. Did Luna ever go in her house? I like your attitude, that's the dogs problem. LOL Some of our schools opened up today with a modified schedule. They'll get extra time off in the fall and at Xmas. When do your grandkids head back?

It was a busy day with a constant influx of people coming in to sign up for fall programs. It was nice to see. I'm also getting more vendors signing up for the Craft Sale. I don't think I'll have a problem selling all the tables. Time to relax and see what the kid is BBQ'ing for supper.

Wonderful to hear you finally got some good weather, Lav! And that Luna is hanging around... friends of mine inWI took in a starving stray, only to find out that she delivered 4 kittens in a matter of hours. They kept the Mom, and some of the kits have ended up at their house as well...good for you!.

I am helping a neighbor with organizing issues for the next week... always a wonderful return to my expertise.

Next week I will travel to see my ‘west coast family

hiya all how are we today then? hope all is well.still waiting for the promised storm ....got a teacups worth last night ...and that was it .looked really dark this morning but failed to provide.Problem getting the van inspected ,the guy phoned me up ,he was on the way over ,and a steering pipe split and dumped all the steering fluid ....so no show.he will be here at 7am tomorrow.

Glad everything is going well for you. Wish I could be one of your vendors at the craft fair. I just received an invitation to another for Nov 4 at the fire company in MD. I’ve always liked that one until last year when we showed up twice & setup but the event wasn’t advertised, ugh. Not sure yet if I’m saying yes or no to this one.

Cyn, good to see you. Yes, Luna is very comfy on my deck & I will continue to feed her (and her kids when they make an appearance).

Hello everyone and how are we today? everyone is well. We had rain last night lots of it, but it hasn't really made much of a difference. The climate and temperature is a lot cooler today. The van was inspected this morning no points at all. What I will say this isn't a road safety inspection as opposed to tyres brakes etc this is what they call the habitation check where the check for damp through the van the gas fittings connections gas regulators electrical appliances electrical hookups water washing heating pumps all that sort of stuff. And it passed flying colours. Had a bit of a panic last night, I was looking under the bed where the the heater and water pump is located, and noticed lots of oil round it full stop very clear oil but definitely of a viscosity more than water. I checked through the man manual comma looking for oil points where could be licking from couldn't find any went on the forum on the internet, also spoke to a friend of mine has a similar van. It was at this point Julie said to me I wonder if it is the vegetable oil I spilled in the van when we were away last time. She dropped a bottle of vegetable oil cleaned it all out around the flooring in the van but it has spotted through the vents underneath the bed to hit the motor etc Have You Ever Felt stupid? I certainly did. But all is well now

Hiya lav. Yes van passed thank goodness I was concerned about possible damp. Absolutely none. For the road worthiness test that goes to the garage that happens after Southport Julie loves Southport Flower Show. Will get lots of pics

Lav...I'm kinda hopping the posts won't reappear after all this time. Wouldn't that confuse a lot of people. Haha I wish you could be one of my venders too. I remember that fire station event not being advertised. I'd really be thinking twice about that one. Glad you're able to be out on the deck. It's way too hot here to do that.

TG...I bet your neighbour is grateful to have you talk to. Sounds like things are calming down for you. The craft fair itself is great fun, it's just the putting up with some of the vendor requests that's a pain. I'm happy with the number of tables I've sold so far.

Mick...I think that's funny about Julie's spilled vegetable oil. Glad everything checked out so you're ready to head out tomorrow. Have a great time and take lots of pics. I ended up picking up some chicken/vegetable skewers for the BBQ. Make it easy when all the work is done for you. LOL

It looks like the boss has hired 2 part time facility staff to man the building in the evenings. Asked him where he thought he was going to put them and he said he hasn't figured that out yet. So it looks like I will be moving into the office and if the program coordinator shows up she will be out at the reception desk (where I currently sit). He said I want her out front and centre and she's going to have to step up with customer support. LOL It should be interesting to see how that all works out.

Another mild day here but we did have two quick rain showers that left us with .01” of rain HA HA!!
My younger grandson has been here all day at his request. Two meals & numerous snacks & a 3 hr long nap on my sofa. What a life, Lol

PQ, I am easily confused & would be pulling my hair out if those old posts suddenly appeared, haha!
I did go ahead & sign up for that fire co craft fair but also sent a note to the organizer telling her she HAS to remember to advertise this year. I think she had too many pots in the fire last year & some things slipped her mind. It’s always been a good craft fair in the past so hopefully it will be again. It will be interesting to see how long it takes the program coordinator to have a melt down having people in her face all day long.

Hiya all. Just arrived in Southport..weather overcast threatening to rain rabbits �� are ensconced in their holiday home, no problem at all. Went to Costco to fill up..1.68 for diesel..everywhere else is 1.80 ish.the site is pretty big but full. Hopefully everyone is doing good.
