Mick...does that mean the rabbits went with you to Southport? You're allowed one rain event and then nice weather for the rest of your trip. Played bridge this afternoon, we have one more session next week and then it's done. One of the regular bridge players didn't show up, I think she's pissed at me for not running it this fall. Oh well, I do not need the headache. Enjoy the flower show.

Lav...yup, still hot and even hotter tomorrow and Saturday. We tend to get a breeze in the afternoons so it makes things bearable. I am off tomorrow so I won't have to deal with the heat. Off next Friday as well and then that's it for my vacation days for this year. Our new year starts Sep 1st. I'm still shaking my head over the accountant. I received an email from one of my suppliers saying the last invoice was short paid by 2 items. They checked for a return or credit request and there wasn't one. They just wanted to know what was going on. When I checked with the accountant she said the 2 items (daily agendas) are for the next fiscal year so she's not paying for them till September. OMG what is that all about! I went to the boss and said this was unacceptable. He couldn't believe she had done that. No wonder the childcare director is having so much trouble with her!

Hiya all how are we doing then?hope all is well. The wifi here is pretty brutal, but I managed to get a signal every now and then.went to the flower show today. The weather held,some lovely flowers and plants there .took a load of pictures but the signal is too weak to download them here

Good evening friends,

I did get a chance to see Mick’s pics & they’re awesome
Sunny & hotter but the weekend is supposed to get very uncomfortable - again. Went to am Amish greenhouse today looking for some fall plants to replace the sunflowers & marigolds we’ve had in big buckets outside. Came home with some ornamental pepper plants, cute. Will need to track down a few more things to plant in those large containers.
YB hired a 17 yr old Amish kid to clear out his overgrown veggie beds & the kid found 5 watermelons, two snakes & a bunch of baby rabbits - they were relocated. I don’t know why he plants gardens anymore & doesn’t take care of them, hmm.

Sorry but your accountant sounds like a bit of an airhead, Lol. It’s a shame you can’t move those annoying employess to another building or basement of something. They would be too annoying for me haha.

Mick, so glad you enjoyed the flower show. It really did look nice!
Any other big plans for the rest of the trip?

Mae all - it’s been an interesting couple of days... my neighbor asked me to come help her pick up some stuff waiting for her at another house - a dining set of dishes. Fine, I brought boxes and stuff to pack it into, put it in her car and we set off... I had noticed that she didn’t seem quite awake... but I was not prepared for the car ride... she was totally out of it... it’s amazing that we didn’t get into an accident...

We got the dishes loaded and I suggested that I drive home... no... but by then she was somewhat better. Once we got back to her house, she admitted that she felt “off”... I ran to my house and got my pulse-ox, and both her oxygen level and pulse rate were extremely low. I took her to the ER... eventually they let me come be with her in the room... once they had her stabilized (with supplemental oxygen!) they released her! So, I stayed with her in her room at her house last night to make sure she had someone to tell if she felt unwell. The only thing ER did was to stop one BP medicine and add more potassium. I checked in on her today, and her “resting“ numbers were bad, but I got her to get up and walk a bit, and she seems better and numbers are in normal range...
sheesh, I did not sign up for this! But all her friends have left for the fall, so I’m it , until I leave on Sunday for 5 days next week to see my family in Coronado. So...

Sorry for the long story, but I am worn out!

Hiya all how are we doing today then?hope all is well it seems really windy here today went up to see my friend today .lovely to see him .we had a good old chinwag went for a walk along what used to be a beautiful golden beach, but now is just all grass and marsh Southport used to be a lovely seaside town but ther is nothing here now .Lord Street, the main street used to be full of the class shops where people would spend the day nothing.. now it is nailbars fast food charity and loan shops.I went past my old house .I had a massive garden I was proud of it is a jungle, the house is derelict looking I felt very sad .
Anyway not to worry, life moves on
