    Re: 6 Nov

    Greetings friends,

Dark by 5 pm - that takes some getting used to, no kidding!
We did have a sunny, coolish day here, light jacket required this morning. All is well with the cats, dog, chickens & humans here haha! Looks like we will be getting Hurricane Nicole weather here Friday, oh well. Florida will be getting hit anytime now.

PQ I am happy with the election results in my state. OZ has already been booted across the Delaware river, back into New Jersey, LOL. The thought of him as our US Senator is just nauseating. He can go right back to selling snake oil or whatever the fu*k he was doing before. The women in this state really came through & made sure we elected a Democratic senator & governor, thank goodness

Slo, yep that. Truck has a running board but the drop from there to the ground is quite big, scares me. My Mom had spinal compression fractures & I know how painful they can be so I have to throw a rope out for myself to slide down carefully, Lol. Glad your knee is healing so your mobility is getting easier. This getting older stuff is not so easy, ugh.

Mick, hope the yoga was kind to you. I’d never get YB to do something like that. NEVER!!
Luna remains happy & comfy on my deck, she’s just an outside girl. Daisy still goes out with her a few times/day.

Cyn, I hope all is well with you. I slept real well despite the full moon but I’m not sure why. It usually really messes me up.

Hello to the rest & hoping everyone has a nice night!

        MAE ALL...

YAY the long weekend has arrived. The afternoon just dragged on. That hasn't happened in awhile.

Lav...Nichole is doing a number on Florida, hope you don't get hit too bad. I bet you're happy about the election results. I'm very impressed with the way things went, no big red wave. And of course numb nuts is blaming everybody but himself. LOL Glad all is well with the animals. I see your light is on so we'll probably cross post.

Mick...nice job on the false floor, I'm sure the peskies will appreciate it. Hamburgers were good. I don't put mine in a bun, just on a plate with cottage cheese, cheddar cheese, saluted mushrooms and pickles. The web hosting swap went pretty smooth, just have a couple of issues with some inquiry forms not working properly. They're not coming through to me. Debating whether to fix it as my workload decreased by half. LOL Glad you're behaving at Yoga.

Shout out to the rest of the gang. Have a good night all...:smile:PPQP

          Re: 6 Nov

          Good evening friends,

Decent day here ahead of some hurricane weather arriving tomorrow. Florida got hit pretty hard & they certainly didn’t need that just weeks after the last big storm.
It shall be a stay inside day for me tomorrow. The zoo crew is doing well. Still can’t get 4 week old Daisy to try any cat food yet, weird. She’s happy & growing, Luna chooses to keep nursing her.

Mick, I ‘m pretty sure I’ve grow too stiff & rigid for yoga anymore, sad. Also with the old head injury I just can’t move in. Certain ways without getting dizzy or losing balance
Glad you enjoy it, keep going
We are all SO relieved Oz failed at the polls, haha. He’s a loser that we just don’t need in the senate. I know you have your fair share of politician wannabees, get rid of them!! Lucky rabbits will have a nice heat source this winter.

Slo, babysitting today or relaxing? Haha. When do we ever really relax anyway?
Hope your knees are happy & you are as mobile as you need to be.

PQ, hope your day was good.
Cyn, hope you had a wonderful day as well.

Hello to the rest & wishing everyone a nice night!

            Re: 6 Nov

Mae all - just a quick post to say hello and I am fine. Worn out - I had a relative go into the hospital for Pancreatitis, and she has no idea what to eat when she goes home, so I’m making a few dishes... also, I started the process of working at a place that uses Horses a rehabilitation tool for vets, children with troubles,,etc. Very daunting, but they teach us a little at a time. Just being close to those wonder animals is a great pleasure for me.

Off to bed... phone meeting in early AM with my tax accountant. Hopefully I am prepared!!

            Best wishes to all -

                Re: 6 Nov

I wrote a long post last night, then lost it; and couldn’t face any more tiny typing on my phone.

Yesterday I went to PT, as well as took my sister to PT (physio) and to a podiatrist. She crushed her foot. You can tell we’re twins! Clumsy ones.

I love it that the bunnies will have warmth this Winter, Mick!
I like Pilates and yoga, but much prefer yoga. I’ve had trouble adapting to doing yoga with a knee replacement though.
There were some gems in those jokes!

TG, how sad for your relative. I wonder what brought that pancreatitis on. Lucky they have you nearby.
You’re exhausted a bit from taking on a new challenge! Eventually it will feel replenishing, I guess, to be around the horses.

PQ, your Canadian cold front is here now! We went from a 70 degree F day yesterday to down to near freezing overnight, where it will stay.
I wish my cat could’ve spent his day sunbathing on the balcony for the last time until next Spring, but I was gone for the day.

Sounds like Luna is being a pretty good mother cat for her kitty still, Lav, with support from you.

Today I’m traveling to go watch my college-age daughter swim. D1 & D2 will be there too. D1 tried to tell me I shouldn’t go because their dad my ex-HB will be there, but I don’t see why that means I can’t go. So I’m going.

Here we are at the weekend again!

                  Re: 6 Nov

                  Good evening friends,

Wet & windy here thanks to hurricane Nicole. Strange though that it’s 70 degrees out there, even now.
Got word that my brother went into surgery this afternoon, hopefully the vascular surgeon can restore some blood flow to his lower leg. I just hope he doesn’t end up like the oldest brother with having a leg amputated & was dead less than 2 months later. Peripheral vascular disease is nasty, killed my dad too

Cyn, working around horses sounds wonderful, such beautiful creatures. Good luck with that.
Getting used to these short days is not so easy, I’m getting next to nothing done in a day’s time, oh well. Hope your relative is better soon. Pancreatitis is painful & really wipes you out. Go for bland, low fiber, non-spicy foods for now until they feel better.

Mick, soggy weekend for you as well? Aren’t we lucky?
Everything is OK at the zoo, as far as I can tell haha.

Slo, I can’t believe how well Luna & I have managed this kitten. I’m trying to push the weaning process along but I have yet to get the kitten to touch any food or water. She watches Luna eat & drink outside but is not interested yet.
You sound pretty mobile for someone with two sore knees. I hope PT is helping as much as possible. Hope your sister gets good results too. I should be related to you two, I am as clumsy as they get Lol.

PQ, hope you have a great weekend

                  Hello Pauly, Det & Sam.

                  Have a nice night all!

                      Good evening all,

                      Mick, so sorry
I hope you feel better very soon & hope it’s a short lived virus. Take good care & don’t let yourself get dehydrated.

Not much happening here but that’s OK. Daisy used the litter box for the first time today. I am a proud mama haha. Now if I can get her interested in eating kitten food.
I have 2 loaves of brown bread in the oven, smells good. I’ll use them along with some white bread for stuffing for the turkeys (mine & my daughter’s).

Hello to PQ, Cyn, Slo, Pauly, Det & Sam. Hope everyone is OK.
We actually had a mini earthquakes here yesterday while we were all focused on hurricane weather - weird.

MAE ALL...I want to thank all you in the south for taking our cold weather. First time in years it hasn't been -20C for Remembrance Day Ceremonies. We have what we call the Field of Crosses that gets set up along a road called Memorial Drive. This year there was over 3600 crosses. They do Sunrise/Sunset Ceremonies starting Nov 1st with the Memorial Ceremony on the 11th. It's was really nice to see the number of people that came out year.

Slo...sorry about sending the cold front but quite frankly we've had enough of it. I hope you went to watch your daughter swim. You're right there is no reason you shouldn't be there. D1 will just have to learn that no matter what you're all still family.

Mick...oh no, what happened! You seemed to be doing fine yesterday. I hope whatever it is it's over and done quickly. I'm glad the rabbits are good, at least you don't have to deal with Jeeves at this time.

Lav...there isn't much going on here either. It was nice to get out to the ceremony yesterday and didn't really get up to much today. Son made a Pasta Salad. He's been talking about it for a week now and I picked up the ingredients on Friday. We had different ideas about how to make it so when he came down today and started I just stayed out of the kitchen. LOL He did a good job, it tasted good. Baby steps or should I say Kitten steps with Miss Daisy. That was a big one for her. She'll get around to the next one when she's ready.

TG...I hope your relative is doing ok. Of course you'd be making meals for her.

Shout out to Det, Sam and Pauly. Have a good night all...:smile:PPQP

Mae all - sounds like everyone is doing well, I am so grateful. I made chicken soup (de-fatted) for my cousin who is recuperating... also visited a friend of the family (93 yrs young) who got some soup as well. Took things a little slower today, but accomplished some good tasks that were in the list... early to bed now!

Mick, good for you for doing yoga!!! Very impressive! Thx so much for the jokes...

SLO- good news on your knee- I hope all healing continues well.

Lav, great job on the election!! Thank goodness... I feel I can breath a tiny sigh of relief knowing that Dr.O is off the job.

POQ, so glad the transfer of the ?website and all went smoothly... congrats!
