    Re: Jan 15th

    Good evening friends,

Rain all day, just dark, chilly & damp, yuck. Would have been a good day for a nap but then I would be up all night, haha!!

Mick, the local Philly greeting is Yo!!! Now I like to say, Yo, what’s up? Haha.
Philly really has it’s own language, see if you can translate: 12 Philadelphia Slang Terms You Should Know
    Wooder.
    Jawn.
    The Linc.
    Youse guys.
    Drawlin'
    Hoagie.
    Wit/witout.
    Chumpy.
I’m glad your Hogwarts project is moving right along

Cyn, I turn on all the lights on these cloudy days so I can keep my spirit happy. I think a lot of us are subject to the blues in January & February due to the darkness.
I have found many uses for my immersion blender over the years, one of my favorite kitchen tools. Pumpkin soup sound good

Slo, the funny thing is - my son unlocked a double bolted door one afternoon while I was upstairs getting ready for my 3-11 shift. He was about 3 I guess, took his wagon & walked up & down the block collecting the mail out of everyone’s mailboxes!!!!! So when his son unlocked the door & took off it actually wasn’t that surprising haha. I don’t know how we live thru all the kid craziness!!
Sorry you have. To do all that driving to see your daughter. Be safe, the roads aren’t in the greatest condition this time of year

PQ, please let us know what’s going on, we are concerned.

Hello to Sam, Pauly & Det. I hope everyone is OK.
    Have a nice night all.

    Lav

      Re: Jan 15th

      Mae all,

The weather forecasters missed the mark projecting this whole “snow event”... it ended up
with a lot of ice and Ivey snow, then was supposed to quit... but we awakened to a few more inches of snow this morning, so at least it was pretty... and safer than ice...

Now that you talk about immersion blenders, I have to make that pumpkin soup - my memory is that it is super-simple... 1can of pumpkin, plus chicken broth and sautéed onions,,blend well... delish!

Mick, so you have company now with the little short-legged sweetie... he sure gets around! Hoping for some sun for you at some point... I bet Amy’s kitten will be cute...

PPQ, what’s up? Looking forward to hearing from you!

SLO, please be careful with all that driving, it sounds like a lot...

Can’t seem to banish “the Tireds” -guess it’s just that time of year...

      Wishing all well -
      TG

          You’re speaking Philly now, Mick!
Hogwarts is looking fabulous!! It’s really coming along! I love your creativity and detailed execution.
Thankfully nothing came of your fall. I hope that tooth heals up soon.
Yes, blunt the bunnies’ weapons before you put them together for a fur-flying adventure.
You’re outdoing yourself again with the riddles!

That’s hilarious that your little son was collecting your neighbors’ mail, Lav! He must’ve been playing postman. He was a little Houdini too -now we know where his son got it from!

Well I really am worried about PQ.

It is hard to keep our spirits up in this endless gray, damp weather, TG. Your puzzle makes for a good flow activity. I’m finding myself lonely too, living alone like this for the first time.

I’m back to using Voltaren gel on my knee. Too painful otherwise.
I hope I can get out of this tired funk soon.

            Good evening friends,

No rain today & also no sun. Not sure who has the sun these days, haha!
The snow keeps missing us & we get rain so no icing problems,

Cyn, I don’t know if I mentioned but we bought an Air Fryer lid for the Instant pot last year, works like a charm especially when you’re cooking for one or two. Tonight I sliced chicken breasts into 1/2” slices, gave them a light coating of olive oil & seasoned them well, cooked in 9 minutes . We sliced up the chicken over salads & it was a good low carb meal. You don’t have a large cooking surface so you have to do things in batches but it’s a good way to cook stuff & keep for future use. You might consider getting one for your IP, make life easier, less time. In the kitchen.
Do you take a B12 supplement? That could give you an extra boost in the energy department. I like this one: MAX-B12™ Vitamin B12 1 MCG | Methycobalamin | B12 1 MCG Just let one melt under your tongue each morning. Be care out there in the snow & ice!!

Don’t know why the page just locked up on me. Mick, you would do well in Philly, you know the language, haha. The Linc is the Eagles football stadium Lincoln Financial Field. A hoagie is a long roll filled with meats, cheese, lettuce, tomato & onion - something I do not eat anymore haha!! The wit-wit/witout refers to the Cheese wiz on your cheesesteak, something else I can no longer consume. Glad yuo’re catching up on sleep & hope the tooth isn’t too bothersome. Say Hi to the bunnies for me & keep going On your Hogwarts project, it’s awesome.

The page is still locking up on me - weird. Slo, yeah, when I saw my grandson repeating his dad’s moves I was worried, haha! I found out you just can’t stop these ADHD types, they do what they want, Lol. I hope the Voltaren is giving you some relief, I’m still using it off & on on my feet. I’m worried about PQ too, haven’t had any response. I just want all of us to be well  Hello to Sam, Pauly & Det, hope yuo guys are OK. Have a nice night all. Lav

                  Mae all -
Mick, your Hogwarts is sensational! Now I really will have to read the books,,to find out why that blue car is I the air/stuck on the castle! Such good thinking to trim the Bunny nails in case there is a tiff! How is Amy liking the kitten?

SLO, sorry about the knee pain, that must be very taxing... glad that the Voltaren gives you some comfort. I hope you didn’t have to get up early and drive today... or at least hoping that the day was okay...

Lav - I’ve seen those combos (IP/air fryer) but didn’t know that one can also just purchase the top... good to know. I’m doing ok on eating... have you seen Kevin’s Organic main courses? I’ve tried a couple and like them. Had lemongrass chicken this evening, with one of the (6 or 8) sweet potatoes that I put in the oven last night to bake... it still is the easiest way...
In the Kevin’s package the chicken is already cooked, and ready in a little broth, the sauce is in a separate packet... heat up and done... good for 1 person; I get 2 meals...

I may not be able to post tomorrow... I’ve decided to hop in the car tomorrow and drive up to see some friends performing in MN. It’s about a 6-hour drive, the weather will be dry, so it will be good for me to see friends. I’ll arrive in time to eat and go to the theater. I’ll stay Sunday and then return on Monday.

In the meantime I have to figure out how to get to the East coast in early February... I have work to do there (not up state, but a suburb of NY...). Truly, I don’t want to go there or do this job, but my clients are older, one is quite ill with Rheumatoid Arthritis plus Parkinson’s... her husband is 80... and they need to sell this house. I helped them move in, so I know the house and contents... so, off I go. (Maybe, if I ever figure out how to get there... yikes.)

Hello to PPQ, Sam, Pauly, Det and all stopping by. May we be well...

                        Re: Jan 15th

                        Greetings friends,

Has anyone seen the sleep fairy lately????? I’ve been missing her most of the week, getting tired, ugh.
No rain today but also no sun so the darkness is getting boring. I found a recipe for a potato leek quiche so I made it today with no dairy. Used a fresh batch of oat milk & it worked out great. Lots leftover too

Cyn, I’ve also been using the Air fryer to bake potatoes! Can only fit two in there at a time, flip them over at half time & they turn out great. Works for sweet potatoes & white potatoes. Great kitchen tool!
I haven’t seen the Kevins packages, are they fresh or frozen? I’ve tried to get YB interested in trying a meal service a few times per week but he’s not interested. I would tell him to cook but it’s not worth it with the way he trashes the kitchen, haha. I hope you have clear sailing for your trip & a nice time seeing friends. As far as coming east in February - watch the weather reports. We haven’t had any snow yet this winter, nothing. It’s going to get here at some point, maybe next month or even March. I wouldn’t want to be doing a lot of driving.

Mick, my unhelpful kitten ended falling asleep on the chair in front of my sewing machine so I never did get anything done today, Lol
I hope Amy’s cat warms. Up to the new kitten soon. Nice your rabbits had some outside time today. Maybe you should set up an agility track for them haha.

Slo, I’m feeling every joint in my body the past few days due to the dampness. I hope your knee is happier today.still no word from PQ, I hope she’s OK.

Hello to Sam, Pauly & Det.
Check in when you can guys.

I have been in the hospital since late Sunday night, yup another collapsed lung. Alcohol was not involved. YAY I got my phone back on Friday night after getting out of ICU. I am still in the trauma unit and will be her most of next week. Son brought down laptop but forgot the power, so will post more tomorrow.

I don't know how you people post on your phones!!!! Finally got connected, replied to a pm from Mick then lost everything. Tried logging on again and nothing but issues. Finally emailed Lav but it sounds like that didn't go either. I will read back and check in tomorrow....PPQP
