    Re: 12th Feb

    Good morning,

The bunnies look so cute together! Bonnie the mother hen is the boss, and Argyl is probably ok with that.

I know what you mean, TG; about being so sick that you can’t do anything but stare at the walls.

I am gratefully not traveling anywhere. I feel like I should get up to help very pregnant daughter with the toddlers, but young daughter has her big final college swim meet of the season near here this weekend, so I will stay put.
I slept better last night, and am not feeling as achy today, so hopefully will be more energetic today.

I just keep thinking about my ex-husband, as 40 years ago yesterday was when he sent me a card for the first time, for Valentines Day. Even though it was a bad marriage, I still miss him. But I need to turn my heart and my thoughts to thankfulness for my new life.

PQ, that is real progress to have the post breakfast craving fading away now!

It is so very windy outside last night and today. Not the “breezy” that the weather app on my phone calls it!
Once a pickle, never a cucumber again.

      Re: 12th Feb

      Good evening friends,

Feeling a little more human each day, grateful. I slapped a mask on & got back into driving my grandson home from school. Fresh air did me some good, honestly. It was sunny & 60 degrees today which is very freaky for February. We’re also having some big wind gusts, just seem to come out of no where.

Cyn, the muscle aches are weirdly coming & going. If they get on my nerves too much I beat them back with a couple ibuprofen tabs. Very strange indeed.
Glad to hear you’re improving too. I have no patience with these things, I just naturally want to keep moving. I just remembered we have tickets for a Sunday evening concert in Lancaster. I will mask up & go enjoy my favorite funk band Tower of Power You hang in there, it gets better!

Mick, OF COURSE Bonnie is in charge, haha what did you expect?? She knows what needs to be done & she sounds like a good roommate.
We’re getting some rain moving in here tomorrow afternoon which I think we actually need since we’ve had no snow.

Slo, sounds like you need a little down time to rest & renew yourself. We always get sick when we spread ourselves too thin. Nice you’ll be able to see your daughter swim.
You have a lot of years of memories so it’s natural they will up front from time to time. Remembering to be grateful for the peaceful new life you are building for yourself should be very helpful. Major adjustments have. To take time.

PQ, hope your day was good, thinking of you!

      Have a nice night all!

        MAE ALL…

Had a very busy long day. Ran into problems getting the Summer Camp program up and running. A lot of it stemmed from errors the childcare director made while setting some things up. Was going to just correct them but then thought nope, I’ll tell her what needs fixing and she can do it. That was a mind change for me and I feel it was a good one. Ended up working through the rest of it and got it working. Stayed an extra 2 hours and didn’t think of having a smoke once. LOL Was pretty sore when I got home but just took a couple of Tylenol that worked. I feel I’ve come a long way!

Slo…you’d think after driving all that way you’d conk out. Glad you got a better sleep last night? I know abcowboy, he would pop in every now and again. Don’t you wish you could eliminate the word “should” from your vocabulary? I think your plan to stay put is the right one. I missed my ex even though the breakup was not nice but I soon got over it and hardly think of him at all. How long have you been divorced if I may ask? Yes, I was quite surprised when I realized that after breakfast craving didn’t happen.

Lav…glad you felt better yesterday, hope it continued today. I’m surprised YB is still testing + but I never did get it (knock wood) so don’t know the ins and outs of the symptoms and how long they last. Thanks for the link to FeraMAX 15, it was an eye opener. I had no idea how potent it could be so needless to say I did not pick any up. I’m going to try changing my diet for awhile and eat more foods that help with energy. I’m a big spinach fan but will have to google other items to eat. Glad you’re feeling better today and that you got out and about. Just in time for the next Polar Vortex coming your way.

TG…I sure can relate to everything blending into everything else. LOL Hope you’re feel a bit better today. Thanks for the congrats, it is a lot of money. My pharmacist suggested I put aside the $20/day in a jar. Haven’t done that yet cause even though I’m not spending it on smokes I still don’t seem to have any extra cash. I think it all goes on the increased food costs. I have been buying a lot of fruits and vegetables lately. Find myself turning to those when I want something to do with my hands.

Mick…we had a sunny day as well but the temps are turning by Sunday and another Polar Vortex is on it’s way. Next week will bring lows of -20C again. Yeesh! Wow, look at those bunnies go. What a change from a couple of weeks ago. Are you letting them spend more time together, taken down the fence? Who needs books, I think you have way too much experience to rely on them. You’re obviously doing something right. I agree, I’ll have to come up with a reward I like. I’m surprised you didn’t wear a trough in your garden with all that walking.

Shout out to the rest of the gang. Have a good night all….:smile:PPQP

          Mae all -

          Better today, grateful.

Mick, such good news about the rabbits! Bonnie definitely looks dominant in the pics... and Argyll seems to be okay with that? Maybe after wandering around the heath alone he is happy to have a "nanny".

Slo , transitions are always hard... things will get better - feel the feelings and then embrace the present, that's what I try to do. hope you continue to feel better.

Lav, yes this is just a mysterious thing, Covid... hope you are feeling more like yourself soon. Tower of Power! My era! Have fun - I know you'll be masked. (PS - I hope none of that toxic smoke from Ohio is wafting over you - what a disaster, made worse by bad decisions... yikes.

PPQ - well, I guess spending money on fruits and veggies is a great way to celebrate your new healthy life! Well done! Good luck with untangling the issues from work...

I'm achey but functioning a bit better. Hopeful... watching "All Creatures" the last few days... about my level of concentration. Does anyone remember the version from the 70s? I think I preferred that one, though this one is very scenic...

          Wishing all a good night,
          TG

mae all...how are things today?hope everyone is doing ok. Pouring with rain, what happened to the sunshine we had?

hiya teegee ,how are you feeling today then?hope you are improving ..All Creatures? is that the James Herriot series you are talking about ..with Siegfried and all of them?Yes this bond with the rabbits ,Jeeves was the same...it was more of a maternal bond ..its pretty easy to see this is the same .you take care .

Hiya ppqp....firstly well done to you for the no smoking.every day is a positive .yes the reward is def the way forward ..it doesnt have to be much as long as it is something you look forward to.Still taking my time with the rabbits....its too easy to say yep thats it ..but Ive got a set of things I need to see. Before I take the fence down I will leave the gate open for the 2 of them to go through ..together ..just to make sure neither of them have claimed ownership. In the conservatory ,Bonnie usually sits by the door or the radiator, So I need to sanitize that to get rid of any scents..Also have to see them both go into a carry crate together ,so that they go to the vets together etc .I also have to move the stuff around in the garage and sanitise that. After that I have to scrub her hutch out totally, and put a ledge in it ,so that it seems like its new hutch for them.It may seem like a lot ,but its a completely new lifestyle for the 2 of them ,and can be stressful.Wont be a lot happening today it is hammering down.Hope you have a good day .

hiya Slo ,how are you doing today?hope you are feeling a bit better .glad you had a decent sleep.Yes I think the rabbits are starting to sort themselves out .I take it that you are staying home for a while?over the years ,you and your ex will have made a lot of memories..those cant be wiped out immediately if at all..and tbh would you want to get rid of them?

hiya Lav..how are you doing?sounds like you are doing better ...good for you .yep we have the rain too!So you are off to a gig in Lancaster on Sunday?sounds weird that ...Lancaster is about 45 miles from me ..Ive been there loads of times .

right good people hope you all have a good day

              Re: 12th Feb

              Good morning,

The snow is supposed to start soon, and it might dump a big load throughout the day. I am staying put for awhile, and then will see about going to D1’s house when grandson Beckett gets his tonsils out on Monday. Although Tuesday is when they really need help, but that is my Huxley day.

PQ, you’re working smarter, not harder! Let your co-worker fix her own mistakes! I like it. You really are coming a long way towards healing. I can see that the saved money is going straight to groceries, to cover the increased cost of food as well as more and better food to compensate for not smoking.
I have been divorced for 10 months, and moved out for 7 months.

This has been a major transition for me, TG. Everything was so much the same in my life for 30 years -same house, same spouse…I guess it just takes awhile to adjust to a major transition. You certainly have been doing the same, and under more traumatic circumstances; so thanks for the advice of how you cope.

Mick, thanks for the explanation of all the other ways the bunnies have to pass tests to prove that they are truly bonded.
You’re right, the memories need to stay. They were a huge chunk of my life. I’m just getting poked the last couple months by milestone memories of first meeting and dating 40 years ago, and some of the landmarks and other cast of characters are the same ones then as now, yet we’re not together anymore…

Lav, that’s exciting about the concert on Sunday! My body aches and stuffy nose and lethargy are improving finally. Glad to hear that you are steadily improving from Covid each day.
Now I’m off to savor all the good things about my new life!

                Re: 12th Feb

                Evening greetings all,

Rain day here as promised but it was 60 degrees!!! Crazy February for sure. Feeling even better today so I declare myself officially over Covid.
Starting to hear from my regular embroidery customers so I guess I need to get back to work

PQ, your best bet for an ‘energy supplement’ would be a Super B-Complex. I take one daily in place of a multivitamin with minerals because I’m allergic to some of the minerals. The B-Complex has just enough vitamin C in it to make it absorbable & useful in your body. Keep up with the fruits & veggies, nature’s best food. I wouldn’t take an iron supplement unless I was iron deficient by a lab test. Too much iron can cause problems you don’t want.
Congrats on your smoking quit, you’re doing great! And good for you getting people to fix their own mistakes, that’s progress . Keep taking good care of yourself.

Cyn, getting on the other side of this virus is a blessing. Can you imagine how much sicker we would have been if we hadn’t gotten the vaccines? Geez.
This is another reason I’ll be happy to see the end of the winter come. Being outside in fresh air seems to be a big help. Take care! Being on the opposite side of the state from the train accident we haven’t had to deal with any of the issues people are experiencing. Grateful for that!

Mick, you’ll have to put all your experience in bunny care & bonding into a book some day. You could be famous
Are you planning any spring camper trips yet? It will be here before you know it.

Hello to all & wishing everyone a nice night!

                  MAE ALL…

TG…glad you were feeling better yesterday and I hope you’re feeling even better today. Trying to put any amount of food in the house is a real struggle right now. Prices are unreal. My debt repayment will be finished soon and that will give me more disposable income. That’s when I’m going to decide what reward I want for myself.

Mick…you have a great plan for the rabbits, you certainly know what you’re doing. I’m so glad things have turned around, for awhile there I didn’t think you’d get to this point. Your next steps does sound like a lot of work but makes perfect sense. Did you do any work on Hogwarts and the trains while you were stuck inside today?

Slo…I’m waiting for the snow to start tonight as well. It shouldn’t be much right now but we’re in for a blast of winter next week. Not looking forward to the daily highs of 3F. Hopefully this will be the last one for the season. You are still early in figuring out your new life. I know it’s hard going through those milestones but you will get through them. I like your attitude to savor all the good things about your new life! Keep it up!

Lav…congrats of being officially over Covid. LOL I am taking B100 Complex and a multi vitamin with 150mg of Vitamin C. Maybe I need to up my Vitamin C for more absorption. Saw the train accident on the news tonight, so glad it’s far enough away from you so you don’t have to worry about things.

I was into work early this morning to launch the Summer Camp programs and we ran into another problem. Wasn’t able to get any response from support and then I saw that they were doing upgrades to their system. That explains a lot. Hopefully everything will be fixed and I can get that off my plate tomorrow. Was feeling a little worn out by the time I got home so it’ll be an early night for me.

Waves to everyone else. Have a good night all….:smile:PPQP

hiya Lav. how are you doing now that you have registered yourself fit for dooty.Ive got a couple of trips planned ..We are off to London for a few days on Mar 1st.. then April we are doing the east coast from whitby in Yorks all the way up to Edinburgh .then we have a couple of small trips ,then taking the van over to France ..and from there who knows ...already got future plans for Italy Switzerland and Croatia.and dont laugh, but a friend of Julies saw the flower arrangement I made and wants one ...jeez. anyway you take care and have a good weekend...

                      Re: 12th Feb

Good early morning; I’m up way too early!

Mick, victory with the bunnies: the fence came down! Argyl took matters into his own hands and ran his own test! Good thing Bonnie was into her food, and just let him use her crapper! It could have been a dangerous situation.
I like your flower arrangement too! You have all sorts of projects going. I’m thankful that you can directly help the Ukrainian soldiers.

PQ, hopefully the only thing going wrong with getting the summer camp up was their computer upgrades. I hope it uploads smoothly today for you.

Lav, you have had a nice break from the embroidery machine, but it’s time to make Easter & Spring things I guess. It’s too early to garden anyways.

I skipped out on young daughter’s swim meet yesterday evening. It would have ended up being two hours out driving in slippery conditions after the all-day snowfall yesterday. I mean most schools in the area were even closed yesterday due to the snowstorm. I slipped around in it enough early on just going to get my hair cut. I’ll go to her swim meet this morning.
I made a great beef stew yesterday!
The other grandma is coming for the week next week while Beckett gets his tonsils out, so he need to drive up there.

TG, I hope the aches are diminishing for you as you weather Covid.

                      TGIF!

                        Greetings friends,

We had rain but now the temps are dropping & it’s windy. 60 degrees this morning, tomorrow morning it will only be 24 degrees, crazy.

PQ, yep I take extra vitamin C called Ester C, 500 mg for immune support. It’s really kept me healthy for several years until Covid came knocking.
Hope you’re feeling better rested tonight. I do feel bad for the people living in western PA dealing with air & water quality issues after that train wreck.

Mick, the bunnies are making their own schedule I see, haha good for them!
Hope you enjoy your visit with Amy on Sunday. Future travel plans sound nice
Good job with the flower arranging, you really have a knack for color.

Slo, glad you skipped the two hour slippery drive yesterday. Don’t know about you but I’m feeling too old for that stuff any more.
I haven’t heard of any kids having a tonsillectomy in a long time. Was wondering if they still do them. I was always sick as a kid until they removed mine at the age of 10 or 11. I hope it goes easy for Beckett & his parents. Nice to hear you can share Grandma duties

Cyn, I hope you are recovering well & getting back to your routine in good time.

                          Mae all,

Thx for all your good wishes. Slow and steady wins the race, tested negative again last night... now I'm just looking forward to feeling better... still very full of aches and low energy, but this too shall pass.

Lav, so glad to hear you are away from all that toxicity... this just seems like a major disaster in the making... all those chemicals in the air, water, land... truly sad for those who have to live there... Are you off to your concert tomorrow? Wishing you a great time!

Slo, please forgive me, I had no idea that your divorce and separation were so recent. It is such a major upset in your lives, and the "untangling" of all those common threads must be very exhausting. You sound like you are doing really well at filling your life with more life, and that is so great - congrats on that. Of course you are in major grief at the loss... I think your practice of staying close to new life is great - and feel the other stuff and try to let it wash through... easier said than done, of course, I get that... you are building your new life, and that is so impressive. thanks for explaining where you are in the journey...

PQ - well, whatever that next amount of money is - you sound like you have the right plans for it! Good food and self-love through health, that can't be beat! Hang in there - you are a Warrior!

Mick, congrats to the rabbits for getting over the Rabbit Hump! Wow - what a surprise. It sounds like a huge amount of work to get them settled... good luck with all of that... hard to do in the rain and wind! Goodness, your plans for travel sound AMAZING! I have a real hankering to get to Scotland... I keep thinking about it... I may have to take action...

Wishing all a good evening with peace and contentment, if possible!

                            MAE ALL...

Mick...yay, the fence is down. Best laid plans eh? God bless you for stepping up and supporting the soldiers in Ukraine. I ended up staying at work an extra 4 hours today, boss being away and solving programing issues. Didn't think of a smoke but when I got ready to leave thought it would be nice to pick up something to drink when I got home. Where the "hell" did that come from!!! My last drink was Dec 19th and the thought of a drink hasn't even crossed my mind since. I think it proves the point that when all is going good for me and I feel in control/confident I can handle it. Nope, proved that theory wrong. LOL

Slo...woke up this morning and checked for a response from support, nothing! Then I had an epiphany on how to solve my programing problem with a work around. Got to work, implemented my idea, and it all worked out. YAY Program was up and running in about an hour. Good choice on skipping out on your daughters swim meet yesterday. Did you make it there this morning?

Lav...I've seen that Ester C and will be picking some up. I like the idea of a multi vitamin but wonder sometimes if I'm getting the right amount of what I really need. And then after some research finding out that some vitamins won't be absorbed unless you take other vitamins at the same time, how confusing! So the vitamin c with the b complex should work. Today was the longest I've stayed at work and I felt fine. Wasn't worn out when I got home so that was a big plus.

TG...YAY, negative is the new positive. LOL Hope you get through the aches and low energy soon. Thanks for the confidence booster, if I'm honest I do feel like a warrior sometimes.

It's a long weekend for me and I left all thoughts of work at the office! Going to enjoy the mild weather this weekend before the winter blast returns on Tuesday. Must remember to plug my car in Monday night!

                            Have a good night all...:smile:PPQP

Hello everyone and how are we today then? Hope everyone is doing well well firstly apologies if there are any mistakes on here, I am doing this on my phone. At the moment we are in the middle of a storm. Apparently this is the end of storm otto. We are going down to Amy's tomorrow so hopefully the weather will clear a little bit. Yet again the rabbits decided to take it on themselves, I had two of them in the conservatory together this morning no issues whatsoever. She is forever washing him and you can see he has never had that sort of attention before. I don't know why but this is an absolute nightmare to do on my phone. It will not type or paragraph up properly, so apologies I will do a better post later on if I can. Hope you all have a great weekend look after yourselves
