    Re: 19th March.

    Greetings friends,

We had a sudden thunderstorm pop up around 9 last evening, surprise!! I guess that’s actually another sign of Spring. Had more light showers off & on all day today.

Pi, we had our house power washed a year or two ago, makes things look new.
I had a bougainvillea years ago, not sure what happened to it. Maybe I’ll look for another. Enjoy your plants

Cyn, Congrats on the new car, yay!! Yellow sounds nice, we had a yellow station wagon back in the 70’s haha, loved it!
Good luck on your studies, sounds very interesting. I am very familiar with hospice but have not run into a Doula. Sounds like a very honorable calling
Sorry to hear your nephew is suffering. I hope he gets the help he needs. My brother turned down all offers of help, that was his choice I guess. Things don’t have to be that hard

PQ, my sleep has been crappy for a while too. I think it’s time to change up my sleep herbals & such. May look into the gummies but I need to be sure nothing in them interacts with my BP meds.

Mick, sounds like you’ll be stepping in some mud this weekend too,Lol My chickens have been jumping in the nest boxes with muddy feet leaving me muddy eggs, ugh. Such world problems, huh??

Slo, sorry you’re sick again, that stinks. Being around little kids can be hazardous as we all know. Hope you feel better soon.

    Have a nice night all!

MAE ALL... :yay: It's the Weekend :yay:

TG...I had a yellow car too. Not my favorite colour either. Sounds like you've taken on a pretty heavy duty course. Sorry to hear your brother is struggling. It was a busy week, I'm so glad it's over.

Lav...you've got that analogy right, the sibling with the biggest problems starting all the sh*t. I'm glad he's doing good. So far no snow has arrived but it was much cooler out today.

Pie...I can't believe you're planting already but I guess you live in the right state. Pressure washing sure makes a big difference.

Mick...hasn't your dentist made enough off you to retire yet? Yup, work is put on ignore. I sent out the link for the garden registration and then promptly left. Wasn't answering any of those phone calls. LOL It'll be a quiet weekend for me, hope you get great detecting weather this weekend.

Slo...sorry to hear you got the cold and that you'll miss out on visiting this weekend. You're right though, better safe than sorry. How long is your friend staying with you?

Time to relax and play some mindless internet games. Have a good night all...:smile:PPQP

      X-post Lav...

Was just about to make a long post, but call just now to pick up a Houndie in distress. So, off I go. Later, good peeps.

              Re: 19th March.

Wow, what a snow dump we’ve had overnight! It’s still snowing. My morning strength-training class in the neighborhood has been cancelled. The plows are out now.

You found the car you wanted, Mick: a Renault Kadjar! Congratulations! Is it yellow?

I’m sure you get outside, TG. I just meant that the sun will be closer & warmer come Spring, and maybe more healing then as you recover from your bout with Covid.

Eh, I’m not that sick. Just had the day of out-of-control sneezing and snooty yesterday, so couldn’t be around infants. I’ll get to see Andy at brunch tomorrow -but I won’t get to hold him.

My friend who stayed over for two nights was ticked off that I got sick, since she only agreed to stay with me when I assured her that I wasn’t sick (she goes into bronchitis easily) -but I wasn’t sick initially! Oh well. It was kind of nice to have a friend to shop with and visit with, and we watched a good movie together (Akeela & The Bee). But she stays up too late, talks too much, and bitches about her husband constantly -so I’m glad to be back on my own now!

Well, you picked up a great subject to study, TG; and a great role for yourself to then assume; but, too bad it is so intense! Are you able to set your own pace with the study course?

I’m sleeping usually pretty well through the night, lately. I spray myself with ~20 sprays of magnesium per day, and also take 600 mg. of potassium gluconate divided throughout the day, as well as put 900 mg. of powdered potassium chloride in my drinking water per day…I think it’s these mineral supplements that are helping me to sleep better.

Muddy eggs, Lav: one more Spring muddy complication to deal with!
That’s really too bad that your relationship with your brother tanked over Facebook, so fairly recently. It’s easy to have misunderstandings over the written word, where you can’t decipher the tone correctly.

I guess I’ll pick up my taxes tomorrow, since it’s too snowy today. Hope your weekend is restorative, PQ. Hi Pi!

                Re: 19th March.

                Evening greetings friends,

Wet & windy today, colder too, ugh. Spring takes it’s good old time arriving I guess.

PQ, glad to hear you are protecting your precious weekend off
I enjoy my word games, puzzles, etc on my iPad in the evenings since there’s not much on TV these days. Hope your weekend is great & snow-free!!

Cyn, you’ve jumped into your course work already, good for you. I hope it goes well for you. Schedule time away from the computer, take small breaks & stretch your legs.

Mick, glad you found a car to your liking, that’s great!! Have a good time detecting tomorrow & good luck

PI, on duty again, so kind of you.

Slo, sorry about all the snow, yuck. We’re only getting rain here & that’s annoying enough.
Glad you’re on the mend & your company has gone home, LOL
My brother was perfectly clear with me. When you’re drunk & calling your younger sister the Ultimate Bitch on FB & deleting her from your friend list - I don’t need that disrespect in my life.
I’ve always stayed in touch with his wife, we’re still friends. This all went down about 10 years or more ago, whatever ~

Hello to anyone else looking in & hoping we all have a nice night!

                  Re: 19th March.

MAE ALL...well, last night certainly took a turn out of the blue. Oldest son came home from up north, headed for the bathroom (we only have one) and proceeded to throw up all night. He slept on the floor wrapped in towels and every 20 minutes you could hear him and then the bathtub water. Needless to say nobody got any sleep. I was just glad it was a Friday night, not a Sunday. I asked him if he got sick up north and then drove home and he said no he started feeling sick while driving. He figures it was food poisoning and is doing much better today. Went out and picked up Gatorade, jello, clear broth, rice, etc. Also managed to get my hair cut while I was out. LOL

TG...just work those fruit & veggie icons into your post. LOL When all was quiet here I did sleep and when I was woken up I read, so I did get some rest. Tonight should be much better as son has now made it back to his bedroom. I hope you didn't wear yourself out last night, you pace yourself.

Mick...I knew you'd find what you wanted. A Renault Kadjar looks pretty similar to my Ford Escort. Hope your weather is good for detecting tomorrow.

Pi...I hope the Houndie pickup went without a hitch. Do you still have your own rescues at home? I think I remember counting 16 fur feet at one time. LOL

Slo...no snow here it must have headed to you. Wow, that's a lot. I'm glad you didn't get the full fledged cold and are going to be able to see Andy tomorrow. Haahaa, it's nice to have friends visit and nicer to have them leave. A break in your routine is always a boost. I will start the restorative weekend tomorrow. LOL

Lav...we seem to be on the same haircutting schedule. I was so jealous when you got yours done earlier, but I've caught up now. LOL We had a skiff of snow last night but nothing even stuck to the car. Bit more predicted for tomorrow and temps below freezing but it does feel like we're heading into Spring. I do miss getting my Sunday paper and doing the crossword puzzle. It's just not the same online. I'm glad you're able to stay in touch with your brother's wife. Even though he's out of your life I'm sure it's nice to know how things are going.

Thoughts are with Det, Sam and Pauly. Have a good night all....:smile:PPQP

                    Re: 19th March.

                    Mae all,

Mick, sorry about the post - but congrats on the car! And here's hoping that you found some fine things today...

Lav, so sorry about your brother - but as you say, you have learned to live with it... I'm glad that you still have contact with his sister, somehow that helps. Sorry about all the rain... I would find that draining!

SLO - sorry about your houseguest, but glad that she came and went! My friends in your area of the midwest are getting slammed with snow - I know they say March is the snowiest month, but seriously...

PPQ - oh dear, what a story about your son... poor guy, it sounds dreadful. What a good mom to go out and get all the right things to help him feel better... well done you...

Pie - what a champ you are to drop everything and go to an animal in need - that is so inspiring. I look forward to your incoming long post!

Well, my godson had another visit to ER last night, and then transferred to the psych ward. His wife was relieved at that turn of events... when she saw him he was doing better (finally letting the meds do their work, he sees the future as better than before, etc.) ... my heart breaks for him. But at least now the 5 kids (4 at home) will be safer and not have to navigate his behavior. Sigh. Life can be so hard on kids/people/even pets.

Another day of work on my studies. And reading books and reporting on them. It's really only the technology that is hard for me, though the instructor is really specific about the information to include in reviews and replies... I'll get the hang of it. I actually was able to put in my own picture in the Avatar space... a miracle, even if it took me a good half-hour!
I'm following your advice, Lav! I'm sure I'll get in a "groove" soon...

                    May we be well -
                    TG
