    Re: 2nd of April

Lav, sounds as if we traded your storms for our heat. Great soaking rains, and the dogs have forgotten about the scary thunder. Hippo Gray! Such a whimsical name.

Mick, I think you and Julie just have to soldier through with her dad. In my experience, the challenges are many, and options few. Caught the end of a radio newscast this morning that said something about rabbits in Britain. Haven’t been able to locate the story yet, but curiosity will have me Googling again later.

PQ, you have one son still living with you?

Slo, good for you making Easter plans that suit you. I’m in the low key camp that might include going for a walk.

TG, high fives for getting your assignment done early! Sorry for the sadness surrounding your nephew.

      Good evening friends,

Well we’re expecting another night of near freezing temps, so weird. I hope the Easter Bunny doesn’t freeze his tail off, haha!

Mick, I’ve been pretty darn busy doing nothing this weekend so far, Lol. I unpacked a few pots & pans & made a big dish of kapusta this afternoon, my fav Polish food. I’ll cook up some kielbasa & get my frozen pierogi out of the freezer tomorrow for a good feast for 2. I don’t buy ham anymore as we both end up with swollen feet from all the salt, haha. Glad to hear you got the leak fixed, you’re quite handy
Wags (over in the Newbie’s Nest) is going through very similar stuff with her Dad right now). Caring for an aging parent is not a cake walk, been there & done it. Hang in there & just make sure Julie’s Dad is comfortable & safe above all else
My daughter & her crew have been in northern France for a few days, arrived in Paris today for just 1 day & will be flying home Easter Sunday. They’ve had a great time, sent lots of pictures & my granddaughter looks very happy

Cyn, good to hear you are caught up with your studies. I know what a challenge this is for you but I also know you can handle it with grace.
Last year we went looking for a replacement for our Jenn Air range. The showroom at the appliance store had a kitchen set up with gray cabinets that really caught my eye. So Hippo gray has been on my mind for a while, haha. I am looking forward to this weirdly quiet holiday to be honest. I catch up with the family soon enough. Hope you get some fresh air too this weekend.

PQ, I heard the cold air we’re having is coming from Canada. How dare you? Haha!!!
I hope your weekend is relaxing

Pie, hope you are doing well. How’s the pups these days?

Slo, I hope all your Easter plans go well & everyone, including you is happy!

Hello to all & wishing a nice night for everyone!

      Lav
